Hello all,

Well, this may well be my last post before DH comes on and gives you the news.

I have to call the hospital at 8am to find out what time I need to be in.

Still don't feel emotionally prepared at all for this, but I guess it's one of those things that no-one can really prepare you for. So onwards and upwards hey!!

Had another hypo last night which didn't really help my mindset, but sorted it fairly quickly and went back to sleep. I definitely won't miss THOSE experiences though!!

Thanks for all your best wishes guys and GOOD LUCK to Summer!! Who knows, maybe you'll go into labour at the same time as me!!

DH will be popping on with the news (as soon as we have any...) - wish me luck ladies (I can't believe I'm actually going to have a baby!!! )!!

ALL THE VERY BEST to Dawn and Summerbird... can't wait to hear your news. I'll be thinking of you and holding your hands - you can virtually squeeze our hands as hard as you want! I'm so excited to hear about your little babbas and to see some pics.

Fingers crossed for MAF and PL, be thinking of you both and hoping for the best over the next few days.

Fantastic to hear from you Hever, hope things get easier and you get some sleep over the next couple of weeks. Big hugs.

I'll be on here over the weekend to let you know how our 20 wk scan goes tomorrow.

Big hellos to everyone else xxxxxxx

Fairy congratulations hun on your scan, i was so nervous reading down that i shed a little tear when you gave us the good news!!

Bubbap excellent news on your scan too!!

Maf how are you getting on with your 2ww hun?? How have you found the IUI's??

PL what CD are you on now?? Any signs yet??

crunchy have you decided on a pram yet??

Big hello to everyone ive missed!!

I am patiently waiting for ivf which is in september, am starting to get really nervous and am soooo worried incase it doesnt work but i am having my acupuncture and am thinking about hypnotherapy to chill me out!! I know it seems a bit far fetched, but i am such a stress head and i want to do anything i can to make this work!! DP is working away for 6 weeks so no chance of BDing , so am quite enjoying time off for a change and not desperatley hangiing on to every little symptom on the 2ww!!!!

xxxx

summerbird · 05/06/2009 11:17

welcome back vix you are doing so well hun, i am staying on here after bambino arrives as i want to hold your hand through IVF and all of our other TTCer. I like your idea of acupuncture and hypnotherapy. One of my PG friends swears by reflexology as she reckons it is the secret to her healthy pregnancy, slightly different circs but it could work for you too. And you make a good point on DH being away, at least it will give you time to relax and take a step back from it for a while. Keep with us though

i went to the MW this morning and babba's head is just about fully engaged now so it is ready to rock and roll i will try and keep up to date with you all every day so when i go AWOL you will know why

Did anyone watch Big Brother last night (I know MAF did!!). I dont usually watch it but figured that if i am gonna be bored for the next few days i might as well keep up with it! Havent got a favourite yet but i loved Rodrigo (was that his name?) the one whe was first in the diary room - i thought he was really sweet with the challenge he was set (painting his face too even though he didnt need to! - aww)

Hi girls

Hope all's going well for you Dawn, been thinking of you all day today.

Great news Summerbird that you're almost ready to go... yes, we'll know what's happening if you disappear off here for a few days!

Massive welcome back to Vix, totally understand you lurking but not posting. You stick with us though. Really interested to see how you get on with the accupuncture and hypnotherapy.

Well we're just back from our 20 week scan and it all went well. Our little bub is fine and growing nicely. Both the sonographer and the midwife were happy with everything. The midwife just said, "see you in October"! So we can relax a bit more now!

Be keeping up to speed with developments on here over the weekend....

((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))) to you all!

summerbird · 05/06/2009 19:18

bubbap that is amazing, i almost shed an overly hormonal tear for you it is such a relief to see the wriggler on the screen, it is much bigger isnt it?

Mr and Mrs Summerbird are still here, we were going to go out tonight for a meal but have decided to order in a takeaway instead, i am limiting DH to one bottle of beer (albeit a nice Jennings beer!! smiley face from Mr Summerbird) in case he has to drive tonight!!

Exciting times for us all

oh crapola PL i agree with bubba get yourself a bottle of vino, maybe some smoked salmon and blue cheese or unpasteurised cheese and get troffing.

yep the summerbean is a lazy bugger, i have just done a mammoth hoovering and housework session and all it has achieved is me being knackered!

i might get virtually hammered with PL tonight

OP posts:
PistachioLemon · 07/06/2009 09:55

Thank you, I had a right old pity fest yesterday...was miserable and cried a lot (well a lot for me anyway) in between trying to concentrate on stupid bloody revision.

What made things worse was that DH was going to a party in the evening and I couldn't go, AND I think the friends whose party it was are expecting but haven't announced it yet. Suspcicious behaviour includes (a) talk of getting a Volvo when they usually get about by motorbike/fast car (b) extending their house to add on more bedrooms and (c) unexpectedly getting engaged when I know at least one of them has vehemently been opposed to marriage. Anyhow, DH was under strict instructions to look for other pg signs like not drinking and not smoking so I'm waiting for him to get back this morning and report back!

Anyhow, I had a really good sleep last night and now I feel better about it. I've decided that after my last exam I'm going to be a bit healthier and I'm definitely going to book a few days away (to co-incide with next ov of course) so that DH and I can just relax for once. That's the plan anyway.

So how is everyone else this morning?

Any news from Dawn? And Summer is bubs still hanging on in there?

MAF how about you? Any news? ? I really hope it's good news for you... not long now to find out. I'm crossing fingers, toes and EVERYTHING for you.

Morning to everyone else!

summerbird · 07/06/2009 11:43

Morning PL i know how you feel, we had a few months of that before i got pg, i remember one Sunday when i think i must have cried all day when AF arrived, poor DH was making me cups of tea and bringing chocolate hobnobs to cheer me up it is crap when you feel out of control of it all.

HOWEVER well done on waking up with the positive mental attitude, you do get to a point when you think 'right that is it for this month - onwards and upwards'. And i agree that booking a few naughty days away with DH is the way forward

And yes guys i am still here, no signs at all other than the usual pains i have been getting for the last two weeks, however my MIL said that she had the same pains for two weeks before DH decided to make an appearance, it is like mild dull period pain coupled with Braxton Hicks contractions, i get all excited thinking this is it but then they go away when i move about not long now though.

I did get a message from dawn last night to say that she wasnt even in labour yet so i think it could be a day or two for her, she had been induced but it hadnt started by that point. Who knows she could be with jelly now!!

MAF remind me when you are allowed to test? Is it next week? I am thinking of you anyway and keeping everything crossed (although not quite everything!! )

Happy Sunday everyone and masses of babydust for all **
