Hi all! We had a lovely picnic by a stream with my dog I have still not done any school work So am panicking a little but I'll live! I went Pram hunting yesterday and have about 4different ones I'm keen on so might look again in a few weeks to see if I can narrow it down! I'm due the 30th november so have a while to make my mind up!

I'm glad everyone on here is well-we will have two more babies soon, you have to stay with us though! Xx

summerbird · 30/05/2009 21:05

definitely crunchy, i want to see through all the other BFP's and fully proficient frolickers! good luck with the pram shopping, we ended up going with the model that two of our friends recommended and we got to have a go on theirs first, it is a minefield!

Ladies, just to make it clear if you don't stay until i get my BFP i will cyber stalk you all throughout the world of MN's forever!!!

Well i'm half way through the two week wait. Becuase i had a HCG trigger shot before the IUI i've had fun peeing on a variety of pregnancy tests and turning them positive and the results of my experiment are that the internet cheapies are just as good as First Response. The clinic said not to test until 16 dpo DP actually laughed when they said it and commented that they obviously didnt know me very well but apparently it takes 14 days for the HCG shot to get out your systems do there is a big chance of getting false nedgatives if i do test before. Other thing is that as the trigger shot is a big dose of the pregnancy hormone there is no point is stmptom spotting becuase chances are its not PG symptoms its the shot grrrrr so actually the trigger shot has taken all the fun out the 2ww!!!!

Anyway i'm waffling now ....

PL hows the 2ww going for you? Do you think u've ov'd yet?

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and WOW what an exciting week as by next weekend we should have two more babies. Dawn and Summer will be thinking of you both

D xxx

PistachioLemon · 31/05/2009 10:29

Hey MAF, I'm so excited for you, I have a really good feeling about these Euroswimmers, and can't wait. So when is real testing day?

And LOL at practising peeing on sticks. It's good to know that the cheapies are just as good as FR - I've got a stash of the internet cheapies hidden in a drawer but whenever I use them I'm certain they're not working because they've never given me a BFP. By my reckoning I should be at least six months gone by now!

Well, both FF and TCOYF say I have ovulated so I suppose I'm definitely on the 2WW. No symptoms yet apart from a fair bit of wind , but that could very well just be the hummous!

How's your garden by the way? We've been getting lots of spinach and lettuce and things like that. Not long til the strawberries and raspberries are ready - can't wait!

summerbird · 31/05/2009 15:11

PL and MAF you have brought the 2WW and crazy symptom spotting back to this thread - hoorah! i am soooo biting my nails for you both so get in there!!

Dont worry i aint going nowhere, i want you all on BFPs so we can have jelly and ice cream parties

OP posts:
makingafamily · 02/06/2009 19:27

Anyone heard from Dawn? Maybe Jelly had put in an early appearence

PL I'm going to try and upload a pic of our greenhouse to MN. Our tomatoes have gone wild but i managed to kill the rocket doh

Summer, how you feeling hun?

PistachioLemon · 02/06/2009 20:00

MAF you must have the magic touch. My tomatoes as still pathetic. The ones I've been growing from seed are tiny little things, and the ones I got as seedlings are growing but not that much. Maybe I need to put them in the ground now and give them a healthy dose of compost and tomato feed.

Everything else is loving the weather (the roses are out, daisy thingies are out, herbs are in my tummy as is spinach and lettuce, strawbs and rasps are well on their way) apart from the peas which are also pathetic, so much so that I think I'm going to take them out and replace them with something that deserves the space! Oh but the nasturtiums (sp?) have turned into triffids.

Ooops sorry, it seems I've mistaken this for a gardening thread - sorry guys!

Back to babies...

So MAF how are the sticks going? Any symptoms? I know they may just be the trigger shot, but I'm curious!

I hope Dawn is okay and Jelly has just put in an early appearance.

Summer any signs of softening cervix or baby?

BubbaP · 02/06/2009 20:35

Hi girls

Just a very quick one from me....

I wanted to wish Dawn and Summer all the very best for the big day. PLEASE let us know when you have some news to share - I know you will

All fine with us, got our 20 wk scan this Friday.

MAF and PL we'll all be holding hands with you during the dreaded 2WW.

xxxx

PistachioLemon · 02/06/2009 20:43

Hey Bubba, good luck for Friday.

summerbird · 03/06/2009 08:28

Hi guys - well it is D-Day today - eeekkkk!! I woke up with a couple of twinges in the night and lay there thinking omigodomigodomigod - but then i turned over and they went away

otherwise i am feeling absolutely fine. i went to yoga last night and everyone was giving me hugs as i left, it was quite bizarre! but lovely.

i think dawn is fine, i heard from her on Monday and she was all set for Friday so unless Jelly has made an early appearance then she is prob having a well deserved rest. Mind you it would be better for her if Jelly did come earlier to avoid all the induction i think

MAF and PL how is the 2WW going? How cool would it be if you both got BFPs as i am giving birth!!

Bubba how is your little bean? The 20 week scan was our last milestone to get through, it is a bit nervy but once you see that little thing wriggling around it is amzing, i remember being fascinated by my babba's spine!

My DH is well into his garden too, we have a small garden but he has got tomato plants and potato plants in little gro bags all over the place, we are so like the Good Life!!

Well am off to get ready to go to the shops and do some last minute jobs, i will allow the babba to make an appearance this afternoon after i have been to the council offices to get a parking permit

oh and i managed to shave my legs AND paint my toenails this morning!! How many other 40 weekers can say that!!

OP posts:
PistachioLemon · 03/06/2009 08:56

Ooooohhhh D-day Summer, that's so exciting!
Shaving our legs AND painting your toe-nails, I'm seriously impressed. I only manage toe-nails about twice a year and I'm not pregnant!

If it happens today GOOD LUCK!
LOL at allowing it to make an appearance after you've got your jobs done.

My Mum was the same with my sister, she took me and my brother to school, went to the shops, sorted a few things out, called work and told them she wasn't coming in because she was in labour and then drove herself to the hospital. She gave birth half an hour after arriving and my Dad arrived half an hour after that, having got caught in traffic! I'm not sure I'm going to be quite as calm.

summerbird · 03/06/2009 09:26

Your mum worked right up to her due date???? Mucho respect for Mamma Pistachio!!

OP posts:
PistachioLemon · 03/06/2009 10:11

Yep, she's hard core.

summerbird · 03/06/2009 14:21

Right i have got the parking permit, back home and had lunch, done my jobs. Babba can come now!!

OP posts:
PistachioLemon · 03/06/2009 14:42

Any signs?

summerbird · 03/06/2009 16:19

Not really unless you count being really groggy and tired, not sure if that is down to all this heat we have been having.

My MIL said when she went into labour she thought she just had wind pains - so now every time i get a twinge or a windy pain i think this is it!!!

OP posts:
makingafamily · 03/06/2009 18:16

Oh Summer so excited for you. Come on lil summerbean

PL i'll trade you strawberried for some of my tomatoes as i've not every had a flower yet let alone any fruit

Bubba Good luck for Friday

Right update! I'm NOT getting excited and neither is DP and we are waiting to test on Saturday as then it will be 14 days after trigger shot but i am still testing positive which has to be better than testing negative at this point. AF was due today and no sign yet Official test date according to the clinic is monday so are not even thinking that we could be pregnant until then so ladies please no possible excitment until monday?!?!? A friend of mine said today that things could be promising and im worried things could be jinxed I'm an idiot i know.......

PL any symptoms yet. I'm still constipated???

PistachioLemon · 03/06/2009 18:19

I think you're going to get a BFP MAF... ooooh how exciting! Still testing positive, constipation, yep, I think you're pregnant!

No symptoms for me apart from being very very hungry. But I think that's the nerves, not a baby.

Will defo swap strawberries for tomatoes.

Summer you still hanging in there?

makingafamily · 03/06/2009 18:52

PL I'm also constantly hungry but thats pretty normal for me. Went to fat club on monday for the first time on 2 months and got a bit of a shock

Sshhhhhh no talk of BFP's

When would AF be due?

summerbird · 03/06/2009 19:41

OK MAF i promise no talk of BFP's at least until Monday. But i am keeping everything crossed for you - although in my case that may be a touch impossible over the next few days - specially if summerbean makes an appearance LOL!!

PL still here - DH is making a super hot chili tonight - i cant wait!!

OP posts:
DawnAS · 03/06/2009 19:45

Hello all,

Yep, still here!! Jelly is still as active as ever - although I'm not quite sure how because there can't possibly be any room in there now!!

I repacked my hospital bag again today, removing loads of unnecessary stuff and putting it into another bag that will stay in the car and that way DH can take away dirty clothes and bring in new ones, if things don't happen quickly.

I think Jelly may have dropped further though as my "lady bits" are really quite painful at the moment, almost like I've pulled a muscle!! Only managed to BD once. It was just too uncomfortable and strangely (for 39 weeks PG) I couldn't really get in the mood!! Odd (not!!)!! Still taking the raspberry leaf tablets though, so hoping that maybe that is softening things up a little so that the induction works quickly.

MAF, I'm saying nothing but !!!

Pistachio, keeping everything crossed for you aswell honey!!

Summer, so no twinges for you yet then? I still haven't had any Braxton Hicks so I'm guessing that I won't get any - it would almost be nice to have some, just so I can sort of getting an idea about the feeling, but hey, this PG was never going to be straight forward was it?!

Anyway, need to go and think about some films to choose to put on the laptop to watch in hospital - that's for when they give me a break from making me march around the hospital trying to get the induction to work!!

Probably be back on again later!!

xxx

PistachioLemon · 03/06/2009 19:54

Awww okay MAF no more talk of BFPs (but I won't stop hoping ).

Dawn so glad you're alright. Painful lady bits doesn't sound nice. You sound really organised though.

Summer LOL at the super hot chilli - enjoy!

Well, I'm CD24 today so based on last month, AF would be due Saturday or Sunday BUT I've been a bit irregular lately as the month before was 32 days so if that happens again it could be as late as Thursday. Honestly, I used to be as regular as clockwork until the TTC stress!

So how's everyone else? Where are you all? Come back!

summerbird · 04/06/2009 10:15

Oh yes i have had the twinges, coupled with Braxton Hicks for the last two weeks but my MIL said she had that with DH.

Every time i get a twinge i think this is it! but then it isnt

40+1 today - woo hoo!

good luck for this weekend dawn we are all virtually holding your hand telling you to puuuusssshhhhh!!
