So I was thinking either;

Mid 30s TCC; the Lushes Lounge

Or

Mid 30s TCC Gin Palace

gotta keep the booze induced typo in there for the new thread I reckon.

laurielou · 22/06/2009 11:32

Oooo I like the Lushes Lounge.........

skihorse · 22/06/2009 11:37

I like the Gin Palace

We did indeed have sex in the right hole this month AND he didn't use condoms!

triggerhappybaby · 22/06/2009 12:04

'The Old Lushes' Gin Palace' or maybe 'Ditherers Anonymous' or even 'Bide A Wee While Rest Home for the Terminally Undecided'

triggerhappybaby · 22/06/2009 12:11

amendment Bide A Wee While (But Not Too Long) Rest Home for the Terminally Undecided

Aussieng · 22/06/2009 13:45

Hi all - gosh I missed a lot this weekend!

V excited at all the POAS going on - sounds a bit kinky that Fingers crossed for ya!

Sorry about the job *Cosmo". But hopefully it will be an opportunity. I'd panic to be made redundant - house with hardly any equity and some debts from a small (self inflicted ) isshooo with UK immigration last year but in other ways I'd love the chance to say "all bets are off" and start from scratch, sell the house etc etc. And I'd defo not let it change any baby plans and also my main concern about TTC is the compatibility of being a mum with my job so that one would be solved (otherwise I am trusting that once baby arrives my inability to not alwyas put my job first would be cured....)

Thinking of a new thread - what has happened to our founder?

wildfig · 22/06/2009 13:58

Hee. Little do they all know that TCC stands for The Cocktail Cabinet.

What has happened to donttry? Is she still in Ireland? Also, come back liskey and julia1969 and pistachiolemon!

Did you see the Indie lifted a whole section of AIBUs for today's paper?

triggerhappybaby · 22/06/2009 14:22

Thank god they didn't do this thread!! What would that say about this generations Thirty-summats

Cosmosis · 22/06/2009 14:34

S'alright, the daily mail are eyeing us up for the next article on evil non-mothers.

wildfig · 22/06/2009 14:43

yeeeees, that did occur to me. Maybe we should go for something a little more secret squirrel, just in case there are any lazy Daily Mail hacks, a-lurkin' and a-smirkin'? (and then a-cuttin' and a-pastin'?)

triggerhappybaby · 22/06/2009 14:43
skihorse · 22/06/2009 17:58

I am a fucking spanner and do not deserve a family.

So I nipped in to Boots and bought a clearblue digital response (13 euros!!!)... and promptly screwed it up. I got the error message.

OH came to meet me from work with the test... and it's def a blue line... but I don't trust it. I'm going to try and POAS later if I can hold in my wee for 4 hours.

wildfig · 22/06/2009 18:04

Here, let me look into this crystal ball... [jangles bangles, waves crone-like fingers]

You are pregnant! Accept your fate, mum!

wildfig · 22/06/2009 18:07

PS can't believe you only got one test - do you, perchance, work in a scriptwriting office? I haven't felt dramatic tension like this since Laura Palmer's killer was revealed.

skihorse · 22/06/2009 18:08

Hang on, I'm going to upload a pic of the "successful" peestick. OH decided to ruin the day by talking of the_day (i.e., childbirth!)

skihorse · 22/06/2009 18:17

i40.tinypic.com/fuw6qo.jpg

Trying to get a decent pic here.

wildfig · 22/06/2009 18:21

Yup, that looks like a BFP to me! Congratulations! [clinks]

Aussieng · 22/06/2009 18:23

c'mon - that is totally a blue line!

skihorse · 22/06/2009 18:24

... and I can't even have a sodding G&T to celebrate. sadly hands G&T to wildfig

wildfig · 22/06/2009 18:31

And just think! You didn't even have to go on a stupid diet. Result.

Nocoffeenoworkee · 22/06/2009 19:49

Holy fooking shit, you're SO preggers!!! Congratumalations Preggershorse, we are loving your work!

And the latest in the nocoffee house is that I am now 3 days overdue with excruciatingly sore nips and absolutely no other symptoms whatsoever. Had a BFN this morning so not getting hopes up [looks round shiftily, gets hopes up a teeny bit]

SkaterGrrrrl · 22/06/2009 20:37

YAAAAAAAAAY skihorse!

[runs around thread shrieking]

Big boo to the BFNs.

No need for me to POAS as I have AF, am not too bleak though as I have a lovely festival to go to in July... PLUS rumours of a family holiday early next year for parents' anniversary, somewhere tropical and fabulous so I am kind of hoping I'll be able to make that.

Enjoy Glastonbury, Sarah my DH is off on Weds.

Loving the glutton emotcon, dudes.

Anyone feeling scientific and want to help me figure out how long my luteal phase is? [thick emoticon]

donttrythisathome · 22/06/2009 20:58

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skiarse so happy happy happy for you.

And yes I'm squealing and may break out the baby dust but this is so fantastic!!!

Anyway, the ole lush herself, the drunken typo queen is back from the travels and there are so many things i want to comment on, but me dinner awaits downstairs, and himself is whinging about being a computerwidow!

So, quickly, OMSL laughing at all you wonderful wimmin, sorry about the BFNs and AFs. And Cosmo tis true there's never a good time to TCC, so go for it. Sorry about de job by the way but impressed by the really positive attitude and proaction. And cheesecake.

Gimme some stats on your cycle skaterrrrrr and will apply my vast ignorance to misleading you about your LP.

skihorse · 22/06/2009 21:09

Thank you everyone. Well as a terribly irresponsible woman I went to the stables and rode my horse and it was wonderful.

laurielou It sounds hopeful for you too!

I'm just in shock, we've been trying 8 months and I think I'd just got to the point where I thought "it's not going to happen, I'm shagging a 23 year old for NOTHING!"

OK, someone needs to open the Gin Lounge/Appreciation room/whatever.

SkaterGrrrrl · 22/06/2009 22:01

Cheers dontrythis, I was clearly asleep in school Biology.

Okay, I came off the pill end of March. My last "pill period" started 5 March.

Nothing for ages so did test but BFN. Then:

Period beginning 24 April - 30 April.
Period 19 May - 30 May.
Started again yesterday, 21 June.

Heeeeelp.....
