VeryAnnieMary did anyone ever hear the Andrea/Robbie Williams rumour? I mean it's probably untrue - but it could rival those shudder childbirth stories.

OH and I are at it pretty much daily but I can only assume his swimmers have no tails as they can't seem to find my egg. Either that or I've got to stop swallowing!

VeryAnnieMary · 14/05/2009 08:33

Hellova long route to take....

I didn't hear the rumours What were they?

skihorse · 14/05/2009 08:57

I've got a meeting in 4 minutes so I don't have time for the whole story but basically: Angela, Robbie, bum-sex, anal-prolapse, ambulance, hotel staff holding/carrying said prolapse whilst paramedics try and get her on a stretcher, doesn't want to shag Robbie again.

skihorse · 14/05/2009 08:58

PS I'm not sure that one was in Heat... maybe they'll do a photo special?

VeryAnnieMary · 14/05/2009 09:27

I don't want to be Andrea Corr any more.

laurielou · 14/05/2009 09:46

Morning ladies!

I'm very impressed donttry - 8 nights! That is certainly Olympic standard.

I pride myself on knowing all kinds of celebrity nonsense, never heard the Andrea Corr story. What kind of magazines are you reading?

Cosmosis · 14/05/2009 09:56

8 nights in a row??? Are you mad???? that really is dedication to the cause!

I am currently torturing myself with symptom spotting and wondering if I really feel queasy or imagining it. I'm sure I'm imagining it because I really don't think we'll have struck lucky this month and besides, another week till period due! why does ttc turn you into a mental case?

wildfig · 14/05/2009 12:25

Ooh, even I hadn't heard that one! (Wasn't there a V-Beck story about a champagne bottle and, er, an emergency ambulance too? They never show this stuff on the Ambulance Chasers on Sky Three...) I know there were many gloomy medical rumours about Andrea Corr and a certain vertically challenged Irish rock messiah figure.

Am v glad it's not just our house that has an obsession with cheap police-related shows, VAM - my m-i-l came to stay for a weekend and was horrified by the way she was settled down for a whole channel-hopping night of Police Interceptors, Border Patrol, Traffic Cops, etc. I like to think of it as watching my taxes being spent; would also be on for a channel of Ultimate Education, where we can watch hellish teenagers being educated against their will, and thank God this isn't yet a problem for us.

cosmosis what symptoms ya got? We'll rate them for you.

wildfig · 14/05/2009 12:28

(when I say 'even I', i don't mean I am a super-informed, in the know type person, so much as a gossip-fixated schadenfreude addict who spends far too much time on the internet.)

Cosmosis · 14/05/2009 12:40

We always joke about programmes about serial killing Nazi sharks, as that seems to be the bulk of programming on the documentary channels.

wildfig I don't really have any I am making them up ie if I burp I think oooh wind - that's an eps, or if I need a wee, ooh that's an eps. Dur, no, it's just you've had 3 coffees (decaf obv! ) and 3 glasses of water this morning!

VeryAnnieMary · 14/05/2009 13:16

I'm symptom spotting too - and I'm still on my period. Have clearly Lost It (if indeed ever actually Had It).

Cosmosis · 14/05/2009 14:09

ah well, glad to know someone's more mental than me.

donttrythisathome · 14/05/2009 15:12

I took a HPT after my period last month.

Now that is mental...

Oooh must run and research the bum antics of Ireland's most tax efficient rawk god and the tinwhistle tootler!

Hi all - you really brightened my up my lunch break today!

I'm fast approaching 35, 7 months off BCP just started TTC.

TTC #1 (excluding a "what the hell" month over Xmas & New Year!) UCL 27/28 CD 20.

I've lots of friends with toddlers - feel that I missed out over the whole baby mates thing but while they were all podding, I was busy getting divorced so it would be nice to have some people at a similar stage to talk to and keep each others spirits up!

I'm freaking out a bit. Over Xmas we were active over my fertile time but then AF arrived 8 days early (which never happens) and really painfully. Now at 20 days I have some spotting and cramping and am wondering if the same thing is going to happen which would be wierd - not loving the thought of having to talk to my elderly male doctor about these things!!!

Oh - light yellow walls (not redecorated yet since buying the house) in a suburban shoe-cox, 2 cats, 3 chickens - all mad!!!

Lovely DH, 40 yrs, met him in Jan last year on the internet, one whirlwind and 9 months later we got married

Can I come aboard?

Aussieng · 14/05/2009 21:32

Oh - I meant shoe-box!!!

Good start!!

VeryAnnieMary · 15/05/2009 08:47

Welcome to the mad-but-beige house, Aussieng! You'll need to tell us who you look like (remembering it's the internet so you can bluff all you like!) - preferably the star of a Sunday night ITV drama or an ex-celeb involved in a medicalised sex scandal.

skihorse · 15/05/2009 08:52

Aussieng sounds like you'll fit right in - you've got cox on the brain clearly!

What are your thoughts on gin?

Aussieng · 15/05/2009 15:32

Gin and I are very good friends.

So cox on the brain and fond of gin... makes me sound like Jodie Marsh!!

Hmmmn - not very happy about that so I'm gonna say that I look like Jodie er Foster

Cosmosis · 15/05/2009 15:47

Ah if you like the gin you definitely sound like one of us, welcome

donttrythisathome · 16/05/2009 10:56

Aussieng welcome to the ginhound thread!

What's BCP?

I met my DP on t'internet too - great isn't it!

I will forever see you as Jodie Harsh...

skihorse · 16/05/2009 14:03

haha I also met my OH online.

So, gin-addled, pissed internet-addicts chatting up boys online whilst stroking our cats and ignoring our biological clocks right?

wildfig · 16/05/2009 14:41

Hello, aussieng - welcome welcome welcome!

Sorry to segue straight into a rant but...

I am FURIOUS. I have my PERIOD! AGAIN! Despite the fact that we brought the D-game this month and shagged not like rabbits but a pair of rare breed turtles, I still feel swizzed, thanks to some weird counter-intuitive reasoning that says the less likely, the more likely, if you know what I mean. It was a day late, which is just enough to feel exciting, so am even more disappointed than normal.

Thank God for my mother and her 'spare' co-codamol tablets [retires to couch in not-unpleasant period pain/codeine fug]. Blimey, there's another nice image to add to the list...

Am planning on having a nice night in with a large G&T, some saag aloo with extra paneer, and the eurovision song contest.

skihorse · 16/05/2009 15:59

wildfig CD1 is always the worst - I end up weepy and dejected and snuffling chocolate.

I hope you're feeling a bit better tomorrow about it all.

We got our game in this month but because nothing has happened so far I'm not feeling positive anymore iyswim. someone needs to slap me!

Aussieng · 16/05/2009 20:03

Lol skihorse - I loved that summary. What a great tagline for a movie! And just the kind of group I should belong to! Big fan of meeting people online. Unfortunately for my DH, when we met I had just had the Norovirus and he fell for my "just naturally slim" line

Donttry BCP - Birth control Pill. kick me if there is an "official" anacronym that I'm supposed to use!

Don't worry about the rant wildfig. AF sucks anyway - much worse when there are extra reasons for not welcoming it. Enjoy the gin and Eurovision - be interesting to see if it is the same without Tel.

Still not sure what is going going on with my body so being good and sticking to lime cordial still but for some reason I have been burping like crazy for about 3 days which I'm not too impressed with!

Have good weekend all.

donttrythisathome · 16/05/2009 20:31

Really sorry wildfig Are you sure the eurovision won't push you over the edge though.

After all, there's no Irish singing turkey on it this year.

He's off in a tax haven bum-bothering Andrea.

Ok, that joke's getting tired now.

I was supposed to be out tonight, but am in bed with tooth ache. Owey!

Naturally am turning that into another "symptom".

ausieng now thats a film I'd like to see.
