dh and I are having a last push at ttc. we are giving it either a year or another mc before we give up (haven't told gp ) so i have decided to reopen the anti-testing thread!

Hello, please can I join you? You seem like a nice bunch and I love the thread title.

I just started AF about an hour ago and feel very blue . I succumbed to testing on CD26 and the test didn't work properly - only half a line in both windows! What a load of rubbish.

I will not test this month unless i have really good reason to i.e. my period is actually late!!

hi mummycat, welcome to the non-testing band! dont feel bad about testing early, we've all been there. in fact i once tested on 5dpo just in case!
sounds like a pants test too. was it clearblue? if so you may get a free test if you call them and complain.

scorpio, how are you holding out? have you ov'd yet? im on CD7 and need to do my post period test. tis shit. i should get them on the NHS

i'm holding out ok, i cant really tell if i have ov'd but there maybe a reason for that CP is staying very high though.

that sounds good scorpio! you do tend to be v fertile after you have been pg/bf.

well, hopefully! Dont think im worlds most fertile women, but tbh have never been natural for so long, have always had to stop hormonal contraception to get pg before. But i havent used contraception since Feb 07 now and i got pg almost straight away after period return following mimi, so who knows???

Hi Ladies, can I join too?

Af is due tomorrow and I am itching to test. Sorry if tmi but I've had brown tinged discharge since Saturday and have fully expected my period to come early as I think I ovulated slightly earlier this month. Could this be implantation bleeding? I am this close to rushing out and buying a pregnancy test, somebody shake me!

Is there a chance a bfp result would show yet or shall I just wait a few days. It's all I can think about and I just want to know one way or the other. Keep rushing to toilet to see if af is here but not. I have had a slight crampy feeling too since saturday, could be period pain but I remember having the same when I was pregnant with ds. Think I know what the answer will be but shall I test or not?

you would very likely get a bfp result today if you are pg, yes, but best to waot a few days to save the money and also to get a very clear bfp - there is nothing worse than a faint one.

Hold out until Thursday, i reckon.

Oh god, now I really want to do one! What about one of those digital ones that say pregnant/not pregnant? That way I wouldn't be squinting at a line! Are they as sensitive as first response?

no, i dont think they are, but tbh if your sure your period is due tomorrow then it should work now.

Although you should really save the money! And just wait!

Just read back to beginning of thread. Sorry to hear about your mc Scorpio and can understand why you wouldn't want to test early. Will try and hold off for a few more days, even though it will be really really hard! When are you testing?

helips I had loads of pg symptoms including exhaustion and nausea on Thurs, Fri and Sat of last week, but I wish I had just waited until my AF arrived or was at least late. Tests can often be difficult to read. Think about it. If it says BFN will you be satisfied with that? If it says BFP and then turns out to be CP, you'll be gutted, and if the line is faint then you'll stare at it for ages and torture yourself with what ifs and maybes.

Stay strong and I promise I will too in 28 days time

You are right mummycat1, it makes sense to wait a few more days and I told myself at the beginning of my cycle that I would wait until af was late. However, the closer I get to af being due the more I want to test. The suspense is killing me, how can I wait a few more days! Will try my hardest not to secumb (sp?) I'm off to sainsburys later and how I'll do a shop without buying a test I don't know, but I will try
