dh and I are having a last push at ttc. we are giving it either a year or another mc before we give up (haven't told gp ) so i have decided to reopen the anti-testing thread!

ive got two

Hey stop talking about testing.

No early testing here, remember?

OracleInaCoracle · 20/02/2009 22:19

DO NOT TEST!!!!

the liklihood of getting an accurate result at this stage is about 40%. the later you leave it, if you are up the pole, the more likely you are to get a bfp. you still wont get a scan before 6w at the very earliest, and if you test now it will make for a v long pregnancy. and if its a bfn then you will be gutted. then you will tell yourself that its because you tested too early. so you will test again in a few days. and if you get a bfp you will feel daft for getting upset for no reason.

it is seriously not worth it!!

lissie- I am UP THE POLE!

Very clear bfp last night-16 dpo!

So excited-good luck to everyone else.

i did an early test and got a bfn trying not to get too dishartend tho coz im not due on till nxt sataday i think!!! will try again on friday morning!

OracleInaCoracle · 21/02/2009 18:55

hope, if i were you would wait until the saturday. its far, far too early to get an accurate result at the mo. leave it for as long as poss unless there is a medical reason for you to test sooner rather than later. eg I had an ep and lost a tube at 6+4, so i have to test at 14dpo, because i am slightly higher risk.

sorry about the bfn though. that really sucks.

its hard not to to but im now thinking that im not preg at all-

OracleInaCoracle · 21/02/2009 19:01

i know, but remember that you are only about 7dpo. it takes at least 10 for implantation to occur and hormone levels to build.
