Hi everyone,

Shirley, how are you doing? Was thinking about you today.

Well, I've had a lovely day today. Went out for lunch with an old friend and wandered around Portobello market beforehand. Was wonderful to get out the house and do something different for a change.

No other news really - oh apart from I'm very confused about temping, and slightly concerned. I'm now on CD 16 and my temperature hasn't gone up yet. As it's my first month of charting, and helpfully I didn't start until CD10, I don't really know what to expect. I always thought I ovulated around CD14 as I have a 28/29 cycle but maybe not. I'm hoping I'm just ovulating late and not that I've missed the boat for the month. Ah well, I guess I'll soon find out.

Hope you've all had good Saturdays?

shirleyc · 28/03/2009 20:40

Hi everyone, well today is/was cd 31.
I started bleeding yesterday afternoon only medium this has carried on all day whilst ive been at work. Kept an eye on it through the day not had any cramps or anything, just got home from work used the loo and had a smallish/medium clot, TMI it was dark red and quite stringy so i think thats it for me this month. Im assuming ive just miscarried, i was def pregnant 3 out of 4 tests def positive, the one from this morning had a medium/strong blue line.

I've not had any cramps or pains and the bleeding certainly isnt heavy, ive only used 2 panty lines today. Because ive been focussing on the bleeding ive not paid much attention to feeling sick, although have had a few waves od nausea.

So questions, do i just wait and test again in a week or so just incase?
Do i count yesterday as CD1 again and start again?
I've never been pregnant before to my knowledge and working today sorry guys but its been hell, trying to work and not think about our loss. DH is ok and suggesting we get a doll for the dog to get used to for when we do have a baby, such as making him leave it alone etc etc.

anyway enough about me how are you all doing? Hope you've all had lovely days and enjoyed your saterday. I9 have tommorrow of finally i really need a days rest to get over all of this!

Joycey29 · 28/03/2009 21:17

Hey Shirley! I really don't know enough about it! Hope someone else is more helpful - just wanted to say I would be as clueless as you! Take care!

shirleyc · 28/03/2009 21:18

thanks joycey i appreciate your reply anyway.

nunnie · 29/03/2009 09:20

shirley, I would advice you to count it as cd1 and join the Dec bus. you can still test in a week to set your mind at rest.

I have never had a MC, last month I had a possible CP but I can't be sure. Easier to tell myself that it was a CP though, as that gives me a little hope that at least something happened and their was a connection.

Hope you are OK today [hug]

shirleyc · 29/03/2009 10:19

morning nunnie, sorry about your CP thats really sad how are you feeling about it?

Rang my local maternity unit who was really nice. Said it sounds like a miscarriage and yes it would be classed as a period and so i would ovulate as normal. So bleeding started day before yesterday so am now on cd3. She said she hoped to see me on the unit soon how lovely. Also for information she said i dont have to have cramps or big clots for it to be a miscarriage as i have only had 2 clots (abit smaller than my little finger nail)
She said if i dont have AF in a months time then i could be pg and have had bleeding which can happen.
Know what your saying about connection i know safely in my mind that we can conceive so onto next month.
Feeling emotional of course but no point dwelling over it.
Decided next month not to test too early and this being my first month i am not going to get as obsessed about it all. Its to much.
What CD are you on now?
Baby dust to you for this month!! x

Biccy · 29/03/2009 10:41

Hi everyone, don't think I've posted on this thread before, but not sure!

But, shirleyc, I'm really sorry to hear about your MC/CP. It's such a rollercoaster. I have had 2 CPs (BFPs on CD28 then AF on CD35). Both times I had BFNs 2 days after the bleeding started. I think because you haven't got very far if you are no longer pregnant it doesn't take long for your body to return to normal hormonally. And then you know where you are, rather than if you get BFP next time around, wondering whether you are 4 or 8 weeks - if you were only at the 4 week point it would take a while to see anything on a scan, and this may just add to your worry.

Basically, if you haven't already, I'm advocating splashing out on another test.

All the best for this month. xx

nunnie · 29/03/2009 10:52

I feel OK about it shirley tbh. Sorry to hear about you MC I would probably have felt worse had I got a bfp.

Join the Dec bus with me I am on cd7 today, so I can start the all important process of bonking like crazy very soon .

I have been taking EPO and green tea for the last week so I am hoping I will be flooding with CM this month (not too much though that could be embarrasing ).

I have decided totally after last month, I am NOT testing early. I am aiming from now on to test when AF 3 days late at least.

shirley as Biccy said, do a test next week just to be sure, then join me in the not testing early seats on the DEC bus.

shirleyc · 29/03/2009 12:03

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your support. Nunnie im exactly the same as you not testing till af is late next time!

Biccy as for the test etc later in the month, i do have a digital test left but not planning on using it. If and i say if very lightly i am still pregnant i will know in a week/couple of weeks as i would be far more symptematic. So for now treating is as a new month. I do feel slightly sick but apparently thats hand in hand with miscarriage so ignoring that now.

I feel ok at the moment, midwife says its ok to have a drink as long as im not drinking lots. Will get a friend to buy some of the cheap tests on ebay, dont want to ask DH as he feels ive got to obsessed with it all this month and hes right. Will wait and see, hope your both having a lovely day. Im resting, doing housework and resting again and so on, no more clots so far today (sorry for the tmi!)

Oh and as for the Dec bus im already on it! lol. gotta keep my hopes us and keep smiling!

Liskey · 29/03/2009 13:28

Hi

Sorry to hear your news Shirley sounds like your being very sensible - and its very easy to get obsessed about this. (Poor DH knows all about that - haven't told him its day 11 yet but been to Meadowhall and bought some new underwear )

I'm trying not to get too depressed today - was fairly down yesterday. Today was my due date before I had mmc.

shirleyc · 30/03/2009 09:49

morning ladies, how is everyone today?

shirleyc · 30/03/2009 09:51

Liskey how are you holding up today? Hope your OK. Here for you if you need to chat. Take care

Liskey · 30/03/2009 17:42

Hi Shirley Cheers for that.

Been keeping busy today been to the gym - despite having a day off work. Not been as bas as i thought it would be - lots of hugs from DH and he keeps promising it will happen

How are you doing?

PistachioLemon · 30/03/2009 17:59

Hi Liskey, was thinking about you today, glad to hear you've been able to take the day off and it's not been as bad as you thought it would be. Are you back at work tomomorrow?

Shirley how are you doing today? You sound like you're managing to put a brave face on it. Hope you're ok? How's the smoking going?

I think I have some good news about my oving - had some EWCM yesterday AND my temps went up this morning so I'm hoping that means I did/have ov'd. If it is ov, then that would be on CD17/18 which is later than I thought it would be, but took advantage of DH just in case .

Liskey · 30/03/2009 18:20

Hi PL. Thanks for that - yes back to work tomorrow its a bit stressful at the moment as big office move planned for end of April but no details supplied yet.

Went to GP today and saw lovely dr who's been brillant with a referral to someone. She agreed if I haven't conceived in next few months to go back - though as I have got pregnant once before she doesn't think we will have any problems. Thats helped me feel more positive as well.

Sounds like ov to me as well - so I'm sure your DH was pleased to be taken advantage of....Now no testing to early!

PistachioLemon · 30/03/2009 19:09

Thanks Liskey I certainly hope so. Actually, more EWCM this evening so I'm hoping to seal the deal (so to speak) tonight. Wish me luck ladies!

Glad to hear your doctor's been so good. Mine was quite disinterested when I told her I was thinking of ttc! But I was speaking to a midwife friend at the weekend and she was saying that it was best to get drs opinion quite early if you don't conceive. Although she did qualify that by saying that some doctors won't help until you've been trying for 6 months/a year depending on your age!

Liskey · 30/03/2009 21:19

lol I'm sure their's no complaints from your Dh! Keep practising....

Actualy my last post didn't come out as I meant it - doctor has referred me to someone re something else and agreed if I don't conceive to refer me re infertility in a while.

I'm 35 and untl I got pregnant last year (after trying for 18 months I wasn't going to try with referrals re infertility - knowing it can cause a lot of stress) however after getting prgnant once I'm getting a bit obsessed with it.

shirleyc · 31/03/2009 07:42

hey guys, Liskey was thinking of you yesterday, i'm glad you managed to do some other things, i totally understand how hard it must have been for you. I hope work goes ok and the move goes smoothly. Good luck with the referral lets hope they can help you out Bring on your BFP it seriously sounds as though you deserve it now!!

pistachio smoking kinda fell of the wagon over the weekend, all to stressful. Sooooo lets hope you have ov'd and and managed to 'seal the deal'! I know its not my place to say but if i can offer one bit of advice it is really dont test to early. Wait till after af is due and try to not get to obsessed with it. It's easy for me to say but if i hadn't tested early i would be thinking this was AF and nothing else. The knowing sometimes is harder.

My promise to myself is not getting to obsessed with it this month, it is only month 2 and gosh did i have a huge learning curve on month 1. Seriosuly wishing you all the luck for a BFP this month! along with everyone else.

Im good thanks taking things nice and slow, doing nothing today, pottering and discovering these games on DH laptop!

nunnie · 31/03/2009 13:50

Morning ladies.
I have cramps again and what feel like butterflies fluttering in my belly now! What on earth is going on with my body!!

Biccy · 31/03/2009 23:24

Nunnie, are you ok? Just thought I'd ask as nobody's replied... no idea at all why you'd start having cramps again just after AF... most odd. Was AF normal in every other way? Was this the one that you thought might be CP?
