dh and I are having a last push at ttc. we are giving it either a year or another mc before we give up (haven't told gp ) so i have decided to reopen the anti-testing thread!

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 14:10

Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 14:12

Cheeky!!!!
Not sure if I will stick with the 23rd once the 21st comes - I may have mentioned before I am weak willed!

4thtimelucky · 17/03/2009 14:15

11 days now! Thank you for adding me to the list! I know it totally goes against the grain of this thread but I didn't even realise there was an early first response test until I googled it last night and now I am soooooooooo tempted but trying to really remember my dates - am sure last started on 27 Feb but can't 100% remember, if it's any earlier then don't see why it's worth thinking about testing but it's doing my nut in. How do I get through this!?! The funny thing is even though not really TTC, now I am here I am so going to have to have long words with DP later, I have realised how much I want to be a mother now

nunnie · 17/03/2009 14:16

Oh no, I went off for one day, came back and the nasty witch appears to have grabbed some of you

I am very emotional today, I am crying even writing this

I think I am loosing my mind.

Got AF like cramps again, not sue till 22nd

Felt sick drinking coffee, but it was my 3rd cup of the day.

nunnie · 17/03/2009 14:18

4thtimelucky, it is better to wait just to be certain you get an accurate result. I have three first response tests, and don't get me wrong I get very tempted to just try one out. Resist it is worth it.

Hope you get your wish to be a mother, I really do.

Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 14:28

Hi Nunnie, sorry to hear you're not feeling perfect - I am having such a normal day I am beginning to think I can't possibly be.....
Housework and stuff is soooo boring - does cleaning the fishtank out count as nesting instinct????
Cheer up 23rd aint far now..

4thtime - stick with us we'll help you through - I have 3 tests stashed and am so tempted but know the rest of this lot are right - it is better and cheaper to wait!

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 14:31

4thtime, i second nunnie. those tests are only about 51% accurate 4d early (and it is 4, not 6. day5 is the day your period is due, day 6 is the day of missed period, so its no more sensitive) it takes about a week for the zygote to travel along fallopian tubes, and another week for the HCG to build up enough to show. every pg (let alone every woman) is different. when i was pg with ds it took 2w for me to get a clear bfp, with 1 of my mc's i got a bfp at 8dpo, with another 10dpo, with my ep i was 20dpo before i got a clear bfp.

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 15:08

Glad to see you both hard at it - I'm writing reports for the end of term - V. boring but it does signal the holiday!!

Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 15:38

Nunnie: 23rd March
lissie: 23rd March
Joycey29: 21st March (or maybe I'll hang on with you guys!)

4thtimelucky · 17/03/2009 16:12

Joycey, lissie & nunnie - thank you for your words of encouragement & support. Having a really rough time at work at the mo so need it this afternoon.

I do remember from my reckless days when I did tests, they went BFP in a heartbeat, none of these 3 minutes lark. Annoyingly seems DP is away with the boys on the 28th, not that I need help with POAS, maybe I will wait til the Sunday morning instead. My cycles have been pretty much 28 days for the last couple of years so I am sure I'll know by then anyway.

Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 16:33

Hi 4th!The longer you can hang on the better! If it's negative you will only spend the day wondering if it was wrong!
Nunnie - how goes the work???

nunnie · 17/03/2009 19:57

Keeping me busy.

Nipples appear to go darker then lighter then darker!
Boobs bigger, then smaller, bigger, smaller.
Constipation [tick]
Tiredness [tick]
Wetness down there [tick]
Cramping [tick]
irritable [tick tick tick TICK]
Emotional [tick]
Bigger belly [tick]
Chocolate munching [tick]
Latter two probably related

Think that is all I spotted today.

Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 20:04

Ok here goes:Symptons I spotted today

Nipples appear normal
Boobs bigger, then smaller, bigger, smaller.
Constipation [no]
Tiredness [yes]
Wetness down there [yes](Didn't know that was a sympton.....)
Cramping [yes]
irritable [hell yes]
Emotional [not today]
Bigger belly [oh yes]
Chocolate munching [choc orange, cream egg and starting a dairy milk]
Agree Nunnie, the latter two probably are related

God knows what my body is doing I don't think it knows. So tempted to test now in the 4 day zone and I know the odds are crap!!

shirleyc · 17/03/2009 21:36

heya back from work thought id drop in and say hi! Im still planning on testing on 28th although no symptoms to speak of just tiredness (did just do an 9 hour shift) real bitchiness you'd think i was due on with this level of bitchiness and sharp pains i been getting on and of throughout the day which god knows what it is!

Good luck writing the essays ladies be worth it once their completed!

4thtime im due to take my test around then to so ill do on the same day as you if you like....... keep each other sane till then?

Anyway best go tend to dh who seems to have developed deadly 'man flu' through his day and is lying in the bed demanding lemsip to be passed to him and the likes! LOL isn't it funny when men are ill such hypochondiacs!! and the dog who is standing crying at his waterbowl because clearly he cant drink water unless its freezing cold!? Spoilt they are!

nunnie · 18/03/2009 07:34

Joycey I am not sure that the wetness is a symptom, but I am just picking anything unusual now.

I have a strong feeling today that my AF is coming I have proper AF cramps today
Really annoyed now as I was sure I felt different this month and had convinced myself it was a good different

Anyway looks like I may well be having a drink soon.

shirleyc · 18/03/2009 07:45

aww nunnie im sorry to hear that! I hope af stays away for you be nice to know she doesn't get everyone!

Liskey · 18/03/2009 07:50

Hi AF not yet arrived but I'm still spotting so not too sure at the moment whats going on. I might be joining the ladies on the 23 or not at this rate!
