dh and I are having a last push at ttc. we are giving it either a year or another mc before we give up (haven't told gp ) so i have decided to reopen the anti-testing thread!

Hmm woke up this morning TMI - some spots of blood and suspect AF is on its way so think i'll be out of the testing

shirleyc · 17/03/2009 08:04

aww Liskey im sorry! Im hoping it might be that 'implantation bleed' for you that people talk about.

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 08:10

morning everyone! liskey, crossing fingers that the witch stays away!

shirley, it is typical that you ov 14d after your period starts, so the best day to have sex is 13d after your period started. it looks like (by my calculations) that you might have missed it, but ov is a tricky thing and you never know. try the ovulation calender in tools if youre not sure

aww ok i thought so! never mind at least when AF comes this month i can work out my cycle days! Not gonna get down about it, there still may be a chance

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 08:22

exactly. you may have ov'd early or late, its not that uncommon at all!

OP posts:
kerryk · 17/03/2009 08:23

af started with a vengence this morning

i forgot how bad i get them when not on the pill.

surprised to have got it so early but at least i am out of my misery having to wait to test.

never mind though, i quite like the idea of a xmas baby

do you think since next month will only b my 2nd month trying i should just jump dh as much as possible or should i try taking temps etc (would be willing if there was a good chance it would work)

i dont understand any of the temp thing though so could someone please talk me through it?

Liskey · 17/03/2009 08:27

thats the spirit Shirley
I already thought I'd had one implanatation bleed on day 23 so don't think it can be unfortuntely. Ah well theres always next month

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 08:28

aw kerry, i sorry she got you. i think you should just jump dh as much as possible. i dont really like temping, my sleep pattern is v erratic so its impossible for me to accurately temp. but heres to a xmas baby!

Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 08:52

Hi guys! Not a good morning in general!
However, think of the money you saved not testing!!!
Xmas babies are great as you don't have to worry about any of the preparations and no one minds. Also you can forget someon on the card list and blame your hormnones.Think I AF may be on way too - funny griping today...
will keep you posted.

shirleyc · 17/03/2009 09:40

aww Kerry next month it is then! I rather like the idea of a xmas baby too. As for temps etc thats not something im even thinking of doing, makes the whole process rather technical i know it can happen without all that plus i dont think it personally would add to much pressure when u already want something.
Joycey i hope af stays away for you too.
Planing on jumping on tonight as tmi alert been to the loo and seem a bit egg white substancee if that makes sense so im thinking maybe ovulating now had a slight pain in my right ovary area last night does that mean anything?? symptom spotting.......
Anyways gonna Chomp on a cream egg drink my coffee then carry on with housework!
Just given up an online game which i have been addicted to for 3 years and so have soo much more time on my hands so here comes clean house, positive mind, baby making and im thinking a nice bottle glass of red wine tonight sod it!

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/03/2009 09:43

Lissie - nothing here, cd37, but cramping abit?

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/03/2009 10:02

No, scrub that - i have a period!!!!

Notintheknow · 17/03/2009 10:03

Damn, AF started this morning for me too so the first response is safe for another month. My cycles seem to be completely irregular which is a bit disheartening. Also, I started using ovulation sticks for the first time this month and got a positive 11 or 12 days ago, but I thought periods always came 14 days after ovulation - does that mean the sticks aren't working? Bugger, this is all going to be rather hard work isn't it. Was so much easier with DD1

shirleyc · 17/03/2009 10:03

aww scorpio not you too.

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/03/2009 10:04

No im very happy actually!!!!

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/03/2009 10:09

although this next month is a non-goer as DH will be in Thailand when im fertile.

shirleyc · 17/03/2009 10:13

aww not another one oh well still next month! In that case we will all be having a drink tonight lets enjoy

Scorpio im glad your happy! Lets stay positive i've given up for this month so im not too fussed, id like af to stay away but hey if it comes then it comes. I'm thinking positive as dh didnt want a kid till he decided on the 2nd March and he could have not decided ever so its all good.

Chins up girls!

shirleyc · 17/03/2009 10:52

omg kid sounds like a donkey mean little one.

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 12:10

pants, im sorry a few more of you are out.

scorpio, its a good thing. your body has adjusted v quickly. that is a v good sign re future fertility.

notintheknow, not every woman has a 14 day leutal phase (the bit between ov and period) but as long as its over 10d you dont need to worry too much. OPK's can be a bit deceptive too, you have several LH surges during your cycle. check your CM and monitor ov pains, and you should get a clearer idea.

Well to look on the bright side with AF turning up left right and centre- we all get to stay chatting on this thread without feeling we are hijacking it!
Nothing here yet but got a bad feeling still holding out hope as just realised I haven't drunk any coffee today - I usually crave it first thing and mid morning.......
Nunnie - how you doing? Worried in case you have fallen off wagon - temptation is a bad thing!
Hugs go out to all you girls who need one...

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 13:18

joycey, what a lovely post. are you a 23rd gal?

OP posts:
Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 13:24

I am a 21st girl but after today think might wait and join you guys on the 23rd as gives more chance og BFP. I hope......

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 13:25

sounds sensible to me!!

OP posts:
Joycey29 · 17/03/2009 13:26

God Lissie, you have converted me!!! I was convinced I would test early and now am considering testing late...... you put Billy Graham to shame!!!

OracleInaCoracle · 17/03/2009 13:43

the later you can leave it the better. imagine seeing a thick blue line.
