Guys we need a new group! Wouldn't let me post in old one.

MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

Kat - hope that the hosp trip is ok and that they are treating you with the tlc that you need.

Twigs - both my mum and my sister had pregnancies where they were preg with negative tests. (their other pg were all detected as normal with pg tests!) My mum was looking after me when I was about a year old and I was ill, the doctor came to the house and while there my mum was so upset she told him she thought she was pg, he agreed to examine her a few days later, as she was still having negative tests. Internal exam by doc confirmed pregnancy, she was 4 months by then! My sister was 3 months pg and no af and negative tests with her 2nd child and was eventually confirmed by scan at 3 months pg!!!!! So I am sorry I can't reassure you either way. But if af does not arrive soon I hope itis for a good reason of being pg rather than af just being plain horribly delayed.

Ready4 - yep it is definitely harder emotionally to concieve while trying!!!!

I am feeling a bit better today, but due to having headcold and feeling generally rotten dh let me go to bed for the afternoon, so I slept all afternoon, it was what I needed.

mrsdisorganised · 22/02/2009 20:00

Thinking of you Kat x

Twig...very of your lovely bike trip today! We haven't managed that yet, dd3 still has to learn to ride without stabilisers!

DH has started taking existing old extension down to make room for new larger extension he's been at it all weekend, can't wait for it all to be built, my kitchen isn't big enough to 'swing a cat' and when the ext is up it will become a laundry room....[excited emoticon!]. I seem to have been inside most the day doing housework and cooking
Trying very hard not to 'think' about ttc as this month is taking forever, if I go by my usual dates af is not due till 4th march, but I'm pretty sure I ov'd around Cd 11, usually it's Cd 18, not sure if that changes things.....
Babyblue are you ok?

Scorpio, dh must be home now so i hope you're getting a well deserved break...any luck with the shoes

Rainbow...hope you're ok, it's tough when you know some one who is pg the same time as you should have been. Hope af isn't too bad x

Good luck on the 2ww Sandy...

Hello to everyone else

babyblue3 · 23/02/2009 01:56

Hi Ladies... my computer has had a virus the past few days so no internet for me. My dad came by today and was able to get at least the internet running. I am not impressed as I have lost ALL my music collection... darn kids! DS was using the computer Tuesday night, and decided to surf on some game websites... what a disaster!

Anyway... Tuesday went by pretty well. Had a little bit of cramping on and off all day, but was very relieved that it never amounted to anything. I was very surprised when I got a phone call from the genetics clinic early Friday afternoon. My prelim results came back ALL CLEAR!!!!!!! Baby is just fine and I can finally relax! Thank God! I will get the rest of the results back in couple of weeks (including the sex). Dh and I took the kids out for dessert on Friday night to celebrate. I can't even tell you what a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

Anyway... haven't had much of a chance to catch up on the thread... so sorry about the me post.

Kat... how are you feeling?

Diege.. how was your spa weekend?? I am green with envy!

How is everyone else??

rainbowdays · 23/02/2009 08:09

Babyblue - YIPPY!!! so happy for you, great that you can now relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Did you find out the sex of the other children before they were born?

ScorpiowithabigS · 23/02/2009 09:32

Babyblue - glad the tests came back clear, what a weight from your mind!

DH is home, ewcm started yesterday so im happy

ScorpiowithabigS · 23/02/2009 09:33

Well i said to DH about new shoes (not £) and that he is going to thailand and i am fab wife etc ...we wil lsee.

sandy4 · 23/02/2009 10:39

Hi all!

Ace news about the tests, babyblue!

MrsD - my af is due around 4th march also! but cycle has gone a bit wierd this month.

Kat - hope all is OK with you.

Scorpio - have you bought those shoes yet??

ScorpiowithabigS · 23/02/2009 10:54

oh ffs more silly little bitches going on to DH - 'i know i shouldnt say but you are looking very fit lately, naughty i know! xxxxx'

Oh Really . We Shall See.

HeinzSight · 23/02/2009 12:27

Babyblue, that is such FANTASTIC news, I'm so happy for you, bet you're glad that's over with, your next shock might be that you're having a boy!!!!!!!!

DH is starting to feel v frustrated at the job market , there really doesn't seem to be much out there for him. I hope it doesn't start to make him feel down. I still can't believe the timing of his redundancy. He was doing so well in that company adn had been there for over 4 yrs, new boss comes in from HQ (Finland) and seems to be getting rid of everyone, regardless of their previous successes. On the upside, this is giving us a much needed and overdue lesson in budgeting, I almost feel like I'm on a mission to see how little we can spend, strangely empowering! But on a serious note, the less we spend, the longer his redundancy pay will keep paying the mortgage.

sandy4 · 23/02/2009 12:47

Scorpio - a louboutin kick up the backside should sort out those 'ladies'!

ScorpiowithabigS · 23/02/2009 13:01

Sandy - do you love the shoes too? LOL

Heinz - so sorry abotu your dh, its so hard out there at the moment, it really is. Have you checked energy providers, best internet deals, shop online (tesco thread on here), etc? I am master of budgetting , and we save the rest for rainy days and niiiiice things also you could ebay some things, we do from time to time. What is he doing re jobhunting? Is he in a senior role - i often think that must be harder to find a new job in a higher up role iyswim. DH is a builder, that trade has been hit hard, but there is stuff around; DH is lucky as in on councils list and has many contacts. I hope he finds something soon, big or small.

babyblue3 · 23/02/2009 14:39

Heinz - would love for this baby to be a boy! lol.. My DH keeps telling me that only a boy would cause his mamma so much stress! LOL.. guess I will find out soon enough. I have my 19 week scan next week, and if that can't tell me, the final results from the amnio will in a few weeks. Hopefully your DH will find something before he gets too down. Things are bad here too. We are lucky that both of us have secure positions. However, we are trying to tighten the purse strings too. We did alot of renos last year, and I don't want to go into this mat leave in debt.

Scorpio - good luck with the ttc this month Whats this about new shoes??

ScorpiowithabigS · 23/02/2009 14:40

i posted them a bit down the thread I always find out the sex of mine, im so impatient!

babyblue3 · 23/02/2009 15:29

We kept the sex a surprise for the first two... but DD2 was a surprise (since I just had my tubes done the year before), so we figured enough with surprises and found out what she was. This time we are even more impatient! LOL... Hoping for a boy to even out the lot!

Katonahottinroof · 23/02/2009 16:13

I couldn't find out the sex of DS (13 years ago they didn't really do it), then found out with DD 2 years later and again with DD2.
The next one DH doesn't want to find out but I do... I'll win

Feeling loads better today, I've never known cramps like the ones I had yesterday, I felt like I was in labour! Still having a steady bleed so taking it as a period, am feeling hopeful that my levels will come right down when I go for my blood test on Weds

So happy for you babyblue!! Can't imagine how relieved you must feel... I don't think I'll be getting any tests with the next one as I'm enough of a stress head without them! Even if I got 1 in a thousand I'd be thinking that I would be that 1 LOL Didn't have any with the othersbut tbh I think I was a bit ignorant of things that can go wrong.

Oh and scorpio, loving the shoes And kick tose girls into touch! My DH was out with his work people last christmas and he told me that one girl of about 19 from work BLATANTLY thrust her chest at him and asked if he liked her necklace then got her friend to ask if he was interested in her!!!! Fully aware of the fact he was married with 3 kids!!! He was a bit embarrassed and I thought it was funny

OP posts:
ScorpiowithabigS · 23/02/2009 16:28

i just never ever would dream of telling a married man i thought he was hot like that, maybe i am a bit conservative or something!

HeinzSight · 23/02/2009 19:34

Not conservative at all Scorpio, it's downright rude to hit on a married man. It's only happened to DH a couple of times, thank goodness as he hates that sort of thing Re his job, yes he was pretty senior and on a decent wage, you're right Scorpio it does seem at the moment more difficult to find something I'll come to you for budgeting tips. I've started doing a weekly meal plan to stop me spending ridiculous amounts in Tesco!

Kat that's great news, good sign that hopefully your levels will be back to normal.

babyblue, really looking forward to you finding out the sex!!!!!!!!! Exciting. I was SOOOOOOOOOOO shocked to discover we were having a girl last time, I was utterly convinced we weren't capable of 'producing' girls! Still can't believe it now and she's nearly 18 months!

ScorpiowithabigS · 23/02/2009 19:38

Heinz - same here, as we had our 3 boys between us, i said to dh is there a point in finding it out, it will be a boy...well he said to and there SHE was, lol!

There is a tesco thread on mn that gives money off coupons. Go onto sites and compare costs for electric, gas, etc. Also if you have sky etc broadband package is sooooo cheap through them. Car insurances can be shopped around for, all sorts of things really

It is very hard to find jobs lately, there are so many applicants for each job.

Katonahottinroof · 23/02/2009 20:34

Tell me about it, I'm looking for graduate jobs and there are hardly any! Especially since we live in the North East and I can't relocate. Hope he finds something soon!

OP posts:
mrsdisorganised · 23/02/2009 21:31

babyblue so happy for you! Exciting finding out the sex too, we never did wanted it to be a surprise, although we would have had to go private as the don't offer to tell you in our local hospital...

Sandy nice to know some one else is on the same 'wait' as me although I'm afraid I'm not overly positive about it! Good luck anyway, not long now!

Scorpio can't believe some women have the 'nerve' to do that!

Heinz I hope things get easier soon, must be a nightmare atm for you.

Katonahottinroof · 24/02/2009 00:49

Guys this is like a proper AF now, if my levels are down to neg on Weds would you say I could try again with this being CD1 or do you think I should wait for another AF?

I'm sick of waiting now but dont want it to happen again!

OP posts:
Ready4anothercoffee · 24/02/2009 00:52

babyblue, so pleased for you, and that your lo is safe. sending you lots of blue vibes...

Scorpio, they have a bloody cheek. Hope your dh manages to keep them at arms length.

Really hope your dh finds something heinz, I really feel for you. last year dh was laid off on the 4th jan, it was an absolute nightmare.

Tonight I bit the bullet and have not fed dd2. she's had a terrible cold, and for the last few nights thrown up after feeding, so tonight, she's had one feed, that went all over the floor, and then about 7-8 oz from her beaker!!! really hoping I don't plug her in during the night if she wakes, I'm just so used to doing so, I often wake and don't remember getting her

gosh, I'm looking forward to af [if I manage to keep my resolve]! I'm really sad to be stopping, but also really relieved. It'll be nice to have my boobs back, but I'll miss the closeness. here's to bf the next one

rainbowdays · 24/02/2009 08:25

ready4 - did you manage not to plug in dd2? It is sad to stop bf, but I know what you mean about getting your boobs back! Here's hoping you don't get af back for a long time but instead get pg straight away!!!!

Kat - there is no reason why you can't try again immediately, so long as you are emotionally ready for it. I can understand you feeling like you have waited long enough.

Twigs - is anything happening with the af arriving or not?

Heinz - it is so hard with dh's out of work. My dh has been out of work each time I was pg and when the baby was born. Last time I had to leave and go to another country to work while pg, I spent 6 months away from dh, ds1 and dd. But I could get work while dh could not. It was very hard on us all. This year dh has work until June, then we will have to wait and see if any jobs turn up again. He is already applying for jobs and we are just waiting for the first rejection letters. Last year he applied for over 100 jobs, and only got 5 interviews before finally being offered the job he is currently in, which is covering someones maternity leave. It is ironic that we are ttc#4 when my dh could be out of work again, but we have done it before and survived is the way we look at it. However this is the first time I have not had work too, I am currently unemployed and no work available here, I would have to leave to go elsewhere to get a job, but it has not come to that yet. Sorry this is very me me me, I just meant to say I understand the worry and also know what you mean about economising.

OK I should get myself organised for the day, mn is not good in the morning!!!

Ready4anothercoffee · 24/02/2009 09:14

yes I managed, but have been up for almost all night. she wouldn't touch the beaker in the night, but has a ounce with her porridge.

coffee coffee coffee... laters

twiglettini · 24/02/2009 09:45

Oh, well done, Ready, that is sooo impressive as it is so much easier to just give in in the middle of the night when you are exhausted.

Rainbow, you poor thing, how terrible for you to have to work away. What an amazingly strong woman you must be [impressed emoticon]. I really hope your dh finds something beyond June (although, given your past experience, maybe he has to be out of work for a bit for you to conceive no 4??! - hope not). Also thank you for your encouraging 'neg test, but preg' stories - how amazing it happened to your mum and sis, sadly, don't think it is the case for me (see below!)

Heinz, how worrying for you. Fingers crossed something comes up really really soon for your DH.

And the best news of all, Babyblue - well done you for getting through this horrible couple of weeks and what a fabulous result. So glad you are finding out the sex, cos we all want to know .

Hi MrsD, Scorpio, Sandy - good luck on the wait.

No AF for me, I've asked my lovely GP to ring me this afternoon so I can talk it through with her. I've never been late, except when I'm preg, but I've done 4 tests and all deffo neg - different brands as well. But am a bit pleased with myself as I didn't test this morning - just think I would have been disappointed again. Anyone any idea what the GP might suggest? presumably I can ask for a blood test to check levels of hCG, anything else?

Don't feel at all preg, so am annoyed that it is probably a weirdy cycle - really could do without that when 40 and ttc
