MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

twig, all sorts of things can delay a period. Travel, change in diet/exercise. stress, illness, recently a new female living with you.....lots of things.

I'm cd16 already quite happy here, just relaxing about it iyswim.

ScorpiowithabigS · 24/02/2009 10:08

I wish i could still BF. She asked for booby last night, in her own little way

rainbowdays · 24/02/2009 10:09

Twigs - glad that you are going to docs, hope they are sympathetic and do blood tests for you. The doc won't be able to much other than blood tests at the moment, it is to early for scans etc. Obviously the doc will suggest it could be a random annovulatory cycle that can happento anyone at any time, but they also may suggest early menopause, but put your fingers in your ears and sing lalala louudly if they do that, it is not happening right. Warning: the people who get negative urine pg tests while pg sometimes also get negative or low blood tests, so hcg test may not be helpful at this point. If they do a test make sure you know whether it is a qualiative or quanitive hcg test. Anyway I hoe the doc is helpful to reassure you anyway.

mrsdisorganised · 24/02/2009 11:54

Hello all,
Thought I wasn't getting too wound up about ttc, have just found out my best friend is pg and made me cry, I am so pleased for her and feel sefish as I already have such wonderful dc's but obviously am more obsessed about this than I thought this can't be healthy.....need some ideas to focus on something else. Soory about the 'me' post but like you all I have no one to get it out to! Dh isn't really interested, 'wants me to be happy', seem to have lost a 'close' friend lately, well actually she gave up on me when I became pg with dd4 (can't have dc's and 'doesn't do kids') She keeps asking to meet up, saying give me a phone on (usually) Saturday afternoon so we can do something in the evening, then isn't in when I phone, or forgets, or ignores the phone...give up! Rant rant rant! Sorry again, but it's all been annoying me! feel better now.

Twigs I hope your gp can shed some light on you cycle, xxx
Scorpio, I hated giving up bf, especially when it's out of your control. x

ScorpiowithabigS · 24/02/2009 13:52

mrs - i think no matter how many children we have, if we are 'maternal' women an announcement of a pg is something to make the heart strings go , even worse when you are ttc and just cannot wait

Booking DHs flight today, and got a guide book for him on Thailand. I am sooooo i may not let him go anymore and spend the money on shoes AND a bag. So There.

DH & I are doing very well at ttc im cd16 already

mrsdisorganised · 24/02/2009 14:58

Just re-read my post ....oh dear, teach me to write when I'm all emotional.... and I can't spell anymore !

babyblue3 · 24/02/2009 15:03

MrsD - I think its very normal to have "belly envy" when we are TTC and everyone around us suddenly turns up pg. I remember when I was TTC DD1, it was horrible! It took DH and I almost 2 years to conceive. In that time, my best friend, several close relatives and seemingly everyone in town was getting pg! It will happen for you... in the mean time, don't beat yourself up about being sad/envious.

Kat - glad things seem to be headed in the right direction for you.

Twig - hopefully your cycle is just a little wonky this month with nothing to worry about. Who knows... maybe you just OV'd late and a BFP might come about soon In the meantime, a trip to the docs would be a good idea too.

Ready4 - you having amazing strength to hold out all night! I am sure I would have brought the baby to bed with me AND plugged them in! LOL... I still bring DD2 to bed with me if she cries in the middle of the night. Just am too tired to stand at her crib and try to soothe her. I too really miss BF. For me it was cut short at 10 months when I had abdominal hernia surgery. I am really looking forward to BF DC4. Hopefully it works out (I have only had the fortune to BF DD2... the others didn't work out very well).

Hello to everyone else How was your spa weekend Diege??

Ready4anothercoffee · 24/02/2009 22:17

aaaargh, my boobs!!!! and my poor confused lass

I'm off for a hot bath in a mo, as long as she doesn't wake, again! ATM she's settling better with the beaker that has held very dilute juice in all day today so that's me off to buy a second tomorrow. TBH, the only thing keeping my resolve going is the promise of 2 blue lines very soon. after all, I have to get my moneys worth from my MBUD

Twig- second the hope of a late BFP. hope all is well.

Sorry to hear she is still trying, bless her. 10mths is really good going though.

How is everyone else?

twiglettini · 25/02/2009 14:16

Hello Ready, how was your second night without feeding, hope it went ok.

MrsD, it's rotten, isn't it and especially if it is your best friend, you can't distance yourself from it. ((hugs))

Hi Rainbow, Diege, Scorpio, Baby and everyone else.

Still no AF. Spoke to the GP yesterday who was lovely, but didn't really have anything to suggest. She just thought it was a blip in my hormones, never mind that I am SOOO regular, even after the erpc and previous mc (I know, I know, I've bored you with this before). Anyway, she said to bring in a urine sample for them to check if still no AF after 2 weeks. I've not tested for last 2 days, so am feeling very good. Am not planning to test until friday (and obviously on some level feel that if i wait until Friday I should be rewarded with a positive , but do know that these things don't really work that way!) Have no preg symptoms or impending AF symptoms. Will keep you posted.

Hope everyone's feeling ok today. x Twig

twiglettini · 25/02/2009 14:20

Kat, didn't miss you out, but you disappeared from my post, sorry. Just wanted to add that I'd be going for it straight away (but I am a bit older than you), it's hard not to when you really want another bebe!

babyblue3 · 25/02/2009 14:51

Morning ladies!

I feel like such a slob! LOL... was so tired last night after work. I came home, made dinner for the kids, and went up to bed! I was asleep by 5pm... got up at 8 for a bit when DH came home, and back to sleep. Felt great when my alarm rang at 6am. I can actually function at work today! LOL.. Thank goodness for DD1 who took care of the baby for me. I think she will be asking me for a raise in her allowance this week! LOL

How is everyone today?

Twig - glad you went to see GP. If they are not too worried, neither should you be. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Friday

Hello Mum2... welcome to the chaos How old are your other DC??

Today I am quite awake... but bored stiff! LOL.. I am trying really hard to stretch out what little work I have, so that it fills my day and I don't look like I am just sitting here... sigh... I HATE my job right now!! LOL... darn modified duties!

Thread is a little slow today...

Katonahottinroof · 25/02/2009 19:45

Hiya, well I spent the day in hospital being prodded and poked . Just got home as they lost my blood so had to wait another 2 hours while they took more and got the results....

My HCG has only gone down to 72 (from 90 a week ago), am gutted as I was convinced this big bleed would have done it. I have to go back on Friday and start the saga again

The doctor says as they've never seen any evidence of anything in my uterus (Ihad another scan today)his best guess is that it's ectopic but is sorting itself out and I'm reabsorbing it slowly.

So guess I'm not trying again yet

Oh Kat... How awful for you That must be beyond frustrating! Has your bleeding and cramping stopped, or is it still ongoing? Maybe by the time it does stop, your HCGs will be normal again and you will be ready to start trying again. I know it seems like forever, but hopefully it will only take another week and things will be right again. Hugs...

I am looking forward to my 19 week scan on Wednesday. Can't wait to see my little bean, considering its still a rare occassion for me to feel any movement. I felt the others at 16 wks, so this one is being stubborn and making me wait!
