MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

Diege - with our weather here, you can never tell! I was happy that the snow cover melted quite quickly, even though it has still been cold the last few days. It is supposed to warm up by the weekend. Spring is so unpredictable. Whe DD1 was born in May, I went to the hospital in shorts because it was so warm, yet the very next year, we had a late frost in May and it killed all the flowers I had just put down Oh well... I know what you mean about not wanting to do much. I have been trying to get my Spring cleaning done, and just am not in the mood. But I know that if I don't do it soon, I will be too big to do it later! LOL... my LO seems to have gone through a growth spurt, since I have put on at least 6lbs in the last 3 weeks. Considering it took 5 months to put on the first 6lbs, I am not impressed! How is your little man coming along?? All going well with your midwife appointments?

How is everyone else? Kat - AF sort itself out? Ready - how was the pouncing??

Diege · 08/04/2009 14:26

My LO has also been putting on a growth spurt I think! Measuring one week ahead, and I am the same weight I was at term with dd3 . I am trying to be inspired by your effort to Spring clean - you're right, the longer we leave it the worse it will get! Have you found yourself getting more tired thgis time around, esp with work?

ScorpiowithabigS · 08/04/2009 14:56

I'm still here, somewhere, lol. Not really thinking of ttc much at all at the moment, though DH is home in a week and we must decide.

babyblue3 · 08/04/2009 16:21

Diege - I am totally exhausted! I am about 8lbs away from being the weight I was at term with DD2 (and we WONT even say how many lbs OVER my term weight with first and second DCs!!! )... so you are not alone! I work from 7am to 3pm, pick up DD2 from daycare, go home and cook, feed the DCs, and usually pass out in front of the telly for an hour or so. Dh comes home at 8pm and takes over. By then, homework is done, and DCs are ready for bed. I don't remember being quite so knackered with the first 3. Like I keep telling DH... I am getting too OLD for this!! LOL.. I am only glad that the preparation of Easter dinner will be shared between myself, my mum, and my sister. I have a tonne of baking to do before then though... just not enough hours in the day, and certainly not enough energy to keep me going!

Diege · 08/04/2009 17:52

Hi SCORPIO! Good luck with reaching a decision for this month
BABYBLUE, same here re: tiredness, esp in evenings! Makes me sure this is def my last!! In other pregnancies I was blooming at this stage, but am finding it harder to sleep, have v.bad heartburn that I didn;t have till a lot later last time, and am finding my 4 hr 20 mins commute a day a real killer . Have 5.30am starts for work, back for 6.30pmish, and then am comatose until about 9 when I drag myself up the stairs... Am able to recover thurs/fris when work from home, so not too bad. Off/wfh for 2 weeks now, then another 2 weeks of work before taking hols owed and then mat leave. I can't wait! Do you have a date set to take mat leave yet?

babyblue3 · 09/04/2009 13:36

Diege - haven't quite decided when I will start mat leave yet... but most likely it will be about a week before my due date... maybe July 17th?? I have decided to spread out some of my vacation time. I am taking a week off in May with DH, and am now taking one day per week (either Monday or Friday) to give myself 4 day work weeks. It helps.

Wow! a 4+ hour commute That can't be fun while preg. Do you drive or take the train? I am lucky in that sense. I have a 20 min drive in to work with little traffic because of the time I start and finish.

So, my lot all came home with runny snotty noses yesterday Here we go again! At least everyone is in good spirits so far. Looks like I have a cold to look forward to on Easter weekend. Sigh...

Diege · 09/04/2009 15:17

Hi BABYBLUE! Bad luck on colds front...at least this should be it before 'proper' spring takes hold??
Wow not sure I could work so late before birth, though see how breaking things up with hols to give shorter weeks will work. My commute is really the reason why I'm finishing so early (well, taking my hols owed, then proper mat leave starts week before due date). I go by train, and while it's quite nice once I'm sat down, it's the changes and waiting about that can be a bit draining.
Hope you have a great Easter! Let's hope we can get some rest, though I'm not holding out much hope!
Hope everyone else is ok - any test dates coming up?s

Katnkittens · 09/04/2009 18:39

Heya guys!
I'm back, had a lovely time and af was very light but lasted for 7 days sigh...

Who knows whats going on, CD10 today and I'll BD the next few days as if everything is normal. No idea when to expect the next one though!

Hope everyone is well.

xxx

Ready4anotherMiniEgg · 10/04/2009 14:49

Hey all!

Crazy weather, one day it's nice, the next foul...

The dc's and I have had a lovely time away visiting a friend for 2 nights, although they were little b**rs aboug settling down to sleep.

Re pouncing:

Sunday night, and monday night, although the EWCM had just about gone by then. I've kinda conviced myself that there's a good possibility, so long as I actually ov'd, so I'm trying to not get myself too hyped up.

check my dates for me, cos I'm driving myself nuts here:
Mon 23rd march: DD2 stopped being on demand all night and became 1am and 5am
Thurs 26th bf stopped
Sun 5th EWCM

So I'm guessing AF due 19th/20th? (checked my stash of tests and they're 10mIU not 25 as I thought)

Kat, hoping everything is back to normal, hope everyone else is well.

DD2 and I are now offf to our secnd home - the local MIU/ out of hours

xx

ScorpiowithabigS · 11/04/2009 13:27

ready i would say those dates sound good

DH home on Wednesday, yay! Have almost forgotten about ttc, lol.

When i was pg with dd (dc3) i used to say about having 4, and he always said no...we agreed on dc4 very soon after the baby was born (his asking to confirm, actually ) but he still used to rib me about the cat having one more baby than me, and i used to call him Daddy 4 and he would pretend he had the snip lol and we used to and still do tease each other like that.....well just to get a reaction yesterday i called him Daddy 5 and he just laughed and didnt say NO LOL

think he must miss me

I will be due period end of next week i htink. not at all hopeful at all, wasted month. But will carry on next month, hoping for Jan 2010 baby

Diege · 11/04/2009 18:12

SCORPIO, sounds like you're being really positive - I think you are destoined to have (at least) 4
READY, agree dates sound v.good. It's always been the day after EWM when I've actually ovulated (and conceived); think for many people EWM is a warning thing to get ready
Kat, hopefully things are back to normal for you
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the BH weekend. I've missed you guys!

mrsdisorganised · 11/04/2009 19:03

Hello!

Sneaked onto mn for a minute, has been a chaotic holiday but good, girls back to school on Tuesday.

Scorpio so good you sound happy! Good that DH is missing you too!

Ready, agree that your dates sound good, so lots of luck to you that everything is back to normal!

Kat, the body is so infuriating, I never seem to know whats going on and when I think I've clocked it I'm wrong! The month I concieved flummoxed me completely, and was so flukey I still can't/won't quite get my head round it until I see the beanie on the scan screen (no date as I am going to book in next week, 11 weeks, didn't want to go too early IYKWIM), so my sympathies to you but you'll get there!

Hi to Babyblue! Hope you're trying to take it easy.....

big waves to everyone else!

babyblue3 · 12/04/2009 00:04

Wow... MrsD... are you almost thru your first trimester ALREADY??!! Why does it seem like everyone elses pregnancies fly by, and mine only seems to crawl??!! LOL

Glad everyone sounds well... Have been trying to enjoy some of the nicer weather, although it is still quite chilly out here.

Its been really hard that DH is not home as often, spending a lot of time with his dad. We had a bit of a scare on Thursday. His dad took a turn for the worse, and was air lifted to bigger hospital. Its horrible! The hospital is almost an hour away from us, and all the rest of the family... but the only one with beds available that could handle his situation. He didn't look too good and was back on the respirator. I think it really sank in for DH that he may lose his Dad. He was just shattered. The siblings got together with mum to talk about his wishes for funeral/burial. All very emotionally draining for me. We spent the entire day at the hospital... by the time we got home, I was soooo tired and had a pounding headache. Sigh... He seemed to be better yesterday, but I think he is getting more and more tired.

On a happier note... would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter

Diege · 12/04/2009 11:25

Oh BABYBLUE that must have been so hard for you and family . Hoping you find the strength to get through the next few weeks, whatever they bring xx
MRSDIS, agree, where has you first trimester gone! . How are you feeling?
Hope everyone is coping with the chocolate-fuelled behaviour of LOs (unless it's just my lot ). Really hot here! (sorry BABYBLUE!).

Ready4anotherMiniEgg · 12/04/2009 13:27

Thanks everyone, I thought kept getting all confused! This next week is going to drrrrraaaaag

So pleased you're feeling happier Scorpio, I'm sure you'll get your 2010 baby

Wishing you a peaceful Easter and strength for the coming weeks Babyblue

MrsD, that's flown!

It's not just your lot Diege! mine were up at the crack of dawn to eat the eggs they got on the Egg Hunt at Blenheim yesterday They were bouncing off the walls! Thank goodness the walk to church burnt off the excess

Happy Easter everyone

babyblue3 · 12/04/2009 15:57

Haha... my lot will be bouncing off the walls soon enough! They were up pretty early, but showed remarkable patience in waiting for DH and I to get up (at 8am). I was up til 11pm hiding chocolate eggs last night for the older 2, and large plastic eggs filled with cookies for DD2. They had so much fun hunting around! It's only 10:30am here, and I am knackered already! I spent a good 6 hours baking Easter bread yesterday, and today I have to prepare my share of Easter dinner at my Mum's house. Dh was at the hospital til midnight last night, and left shortly after breakfast this morning. His dad seems to be doing better... but its such a roller coaster of ups and downs. I am looking forward to the distractions today. Tomorrow, the DCs and I are home and DH is back to work. Hopefully the weather will be ok (its only been about 7 degrees the past few days) and I can spend the day at the park.

HeinzSight · 12/04/2009 21:49

Hi all,

sorry it's been ages and I'm only going to be able to do a quick post

Babyblue, so sorry to hear about what you're going through with your FIL, so sad. As others have said, sending you adn DH strong vibes.

I'm 22 and a bit weeks now already . I had a scan a week or so ago and baby is good, didn't find out the sex, want a surprise this time. Their only concern is my placenta is a tad low lying and they also found a small fibroid near my cervix, so they need to scan again at 34 weeks to rule out another section. Am hoping that won't happen.

I'll catch up soon properly... promise. But in the meantime want to say hi to MrsD, Scorpio, Kat, Ready, rainbow, diege and everyone else xx

Katnkittens · 13/04/2009 01:13

Wooo think I had EWCM today on CD13 got in some BD tonight so keeping fingers crossed! Was starting to think I was never gonna OV again....

Kids all off school loopy on chocolate so I feel everyones pain!

Got a diagnosis for DD2, she has absence epilepsy, she's having about 20 absences a day so they got her an EEG the day after her appointment! We got the letter on Sat so have to wait until Tuesday to make an appt to get her some epilim. It's affected her schooling loads, she was getting confused all the time and we didn't realise why until a couple of months ago when I clicked.

Anyway, hi to everyone xxxxx

rainbowdays · 13/04/2009 13:55

Kat - great chatting last night!
Good to get a diagnosis for your dd2, it is easier to deal with something when you know what it is. Is there epilepsy in the family, is that how you worked out what was happening?

Hienz - great to hear that you are doing well, I can't believe you are already 22 weeks, time is flying so fast. I hope that the placenta moves for you and that you get to rule out cs.

Babyblue - hope you got some distraction and some rest yesterday, it is so hard for you on this rollercoaster and supporting your dh.

Ready4 - hows the 2ww going?

Hi to everyone else!

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/04/2009 13:58

hi rainbowdays - where are you in your cycle at mo?

I'm coming to end of month now, but wasted month. Heres to next time!

Will be 2010 for me now.

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/04/2009 13:59

Mimi is 1 on Saturday!

rainbowdays · 13/04/2009 21:56

Scorpio - is Mimi having a party? Also when is af due for you? You have longish cycles don't you?

ScorpiowithabigS · 14/04/2009 08:45

yeah im a 34 day er , lol. Next monday, maybe?

We are going to the zoo in Paignton for mimi's bday with friends, and a cake

Ready4anotherMiniEgg · 14/04/2009 11:34

Hi everyone,

I sooo don't do waiting I got away with it with the others because I wasn't so aware, or as activly trying. gah. am sitting on my hands!!!

Happy birthday for Mimi on Sat!!! Ds is 5 on Mon, I can't believe my pfb is so old

Good to hear of your DD's diagnosis Kat, hopefully she'll be able to begin gettiing herself back once she's stable on tablets.

Bloody knackered here, my lovely SIL came to stay last night with her dh, plus her 2 DDs (13 & 21), so lots of booze was consumed, and several fragile heads the next morning I'm such a cheap date, one glass of wine, and that was me giggling in the corner well, one shouldn't harm any potential beanie, me thinks.

to everyone

ta-ta, I'm off to wash up all the coffee mugs [ooooh, I've gone all welshy now!]

mrsdisorganised · 14/04/2009 11:52

Hello!

Well dd's all grudgingly off to school, I am left in a bombsite of a house inside and out! Dd4 sleeping outside in the sunshine and I should be tackling all of my 'to do's'!! Feel very sick still and tbh don't even know where to start....

Glad everyone sounds relatively happy atm.

Ready.... waiting is rubbish I found it hard not to jump on any tiny symptom, just keep sitting on those hands!

Scorpio...hope Mimi enjoys her birthday, sounds fun!

Hello to everyone else.
