Guys we need a new group! Wouldn't let me post in old one.

MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

Oh it also means that the week I go away without DH I will go on CD16 so that's good for me MUCH better than going on CD12 which would have pretty much ruled this month out

rainbowdays · 19/03/2009 09:57

Hey Kat - we are cycle buddies this month!!! Will Scorpio only a day ahead of us!!!!! Well this will be an interesting month. Lets see if we can get a hat-trick of pregs for Christmas.

I feel left out not being the oldest, I grew up being Middle child, until I was 14 then I became a BIG sister. Interesting that it is the middle child that is not communicative. Reinforces my belief that I must not leave dd as a middle child, but have another so that there are two middle children!!!!

Ready4 - are you weaning now? I am going to start weaning with seriousness in the next month. DS is unbelievably a year old, in two weeks time! this year has flown by.

How are all the pg women here? These pg sseem from my viewpoint to be going quickly - do you feel that?

mrsdisorganised · 19/03/2009 10:29

Hello!

Having a sneaky sit down after a horrible night of dd4 with scary high temperature and dd1 being sick continuously...[knackered emoticon]!!! The sun is out now and the day is sooooo much better than the depths of night, esp as dh is away!

How is everyone? Keep my fingers crossed for the 'hat trick' Rainbow!

Seeing as you're all talking bout you families....I too am the eldest, of 8, youngest sister is 10 which is a bit weird as she is primary with my girls! Aways wanted four but for some unknown reason couldn't stop the broodiness, although seriously will have to make this one my last.....provided it stays put

Going to tackle some washing and make the most of the sunshine... x

Katnkittens · 19/03/2009 12:30

Yey! I have cycle buddies I'm sad and I worked out if I fall preg this month bubs will be due 23th Dec EEEK!!

This AF is SOOOO normal so far which is fabby. No cramps (normal for me) and normal bleeding. So happy. Can't believe I'm sharing this TMI but hey we're all about TMI haha.

Mrs D sorry to hear your dd4 been keeping you up, it's so lonely and awful when you're up at 4am with a poorly DC. Hope she's better soon.

I know what you mean abput broodyness. If I am lucky enough to have another sucessful preg, I may ask for my tubes tied as practically I REALLY dont want more than 4 but dont trust myself LOL

Chalkpink · 19/03/2009 13:25

Hello,
Well, a lot has happened since I last checked in. Massive congrats MrsD. That's fab news.
I hope you dont mind me joining you?
I would like a close age gap between DCs 3 and a 4th but its getting wider by the month. DD1 and DD2 are 16mths apart then there's just short of 3 years between them and Ds. Was really hoping I could have about 2 year to 2 and a half year gap between DS and the next one but it hasn't worked out.
I'm the eldest of two but dont really speak to my sister. DH is one of 4 but theres a big gap between his sister (10yrs) and his younger brother (6 years) but he was and still is very close to him so tends not to worry about age gaps like I do.
Here's hoping this is a lucky month to those ttc'ing.

babyblue3 · 19/03/2009 17:27

I guess I will also add to comparing families

I am eldest as well. My only sibling, a sister, is 4 years younger and we have only become close since we both married and had children. My initial idea was to only have 2 or 3 DCs. My first 2 are 16 months apart, and much as that works very well for them, I don't think I could do that a second time. DH only wanted 2, so I had my tubes done. Then along came DD2! She is 8 years younger than DS1. We didn't want her growing up 'alone' so decided to have one more. There will now be a 21 month age gap between DD2 and DS2, which is perfect for me. Having the older 2 is a huge help. I don't think I have the patience for 4 under 4! The age gap between the oldest and youngest will be 11 years.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for that hat trick as well! That would be a very nice Christmas prezzie to your families

Got to run... I see my OB for the first time today. Hopefully my preggo brain will remember to ask all the right questions!

twiglettini · 20/03/2009 11:32

Hello everyone. Not been round for a while as trying to stay away from mumsnet. Not our thread, but some of the others have been adding to my anxiety about ttc, so have managed to stay away for a while. Anyway, finally cracked today and had a sneaky peek at this thread and HAD to post to exclaim loudly at your fabulous news, MrsD. I'm so pleased for you (especially since we both had the sadness of being preg with our sisters, then miscarrying).

We've had a bit of a sad month where we didn't manage to have sex at the right time due to DH feeling too much pressure - cue huge tears and sadness from me. Am twitchy due to being 40 and feeling old and that time is really running out. After excellent chats with good rl friend, she's managed to calm me down and I'm trying to get things in perspective. So period due in a week, but no chance of preg for me.

I'm going to try to stay away from MN and have stopped temping in order to try to take it easy re ttc (easier said than done), so won't be on for a while, but wishing you all good luck.

mrsdisorganised · 20/03/2009 19:43

Twigs!!! Was a bit worried about you! Sounds like you need a break away atm, lots of hugs to you and hope you come back soon MN does become a bit obsessive, I've not been on as much anymore, mainly on this thread for catch ups, joined a due in nov thread but can't keep up and it's not the same

Hope everyone else is ok, this thread is quite quiet now?! x

Ready4anothercoffee · 20/03/2009 23:34

Hello everyone

Rainbow, I am going to make a serious effort, due to several reasons, partly because she is such a pig at supper time, she then has no room and ends up being sick and partly because I am fed up with being an all night buffet. My only worry is her milk intake atm, she has a big bowl of porridge, then one or 2 sips from a milk beaker mid afternoon then that's it. I've been out tonight, and might carry on, but think on reflection I am too tired, but I'm trying to not obsess over it, the whole weaning issue was clouding my whole day

fingers crossed for a hat trick, hope everyone is well

ScorpiowithabigS · 21/03/2009 10:31

I won't be having a 2009 baby as DH leaves in a week, which will only be cd12 for me and too early (i ov on 19 usually) so thats us out. Kinda pleased i get another month to try and work my mind out.

ScorpiowithabigS · 21/03/2009 10:33

Ready - you could try cheese sauces, grate cheese on lots of things, in sarnies, over beans, etc. Mimi has cut right down on formula this last week or so as well. (i know you are BF still)

Do you really want to stop BF? You dont sound like you do, and stopping before oyu are ready would be horrid. I still miss it terribly, i would give my right arm to feed again.

Katnkittens · 21/03/2009 13:46

Hi, I only really regularly post on this thread and it's quite relaxed so I don't get sick of MN. Sometimes I go on the baby name threads because they can be so funny.

Nice to hear from some of the missing unhinged ones

Not much going on here. AF still here and I have a sore throat and swollen glands courtesy of DD2 so am lying about feeling sorry for myself

Got a dancing comp to go to tomorrow so need to pull myself out of my pit to get things sorted for it.... sigh

rainbowdays · 22/03/2009 21:09

Twigs - I know you said you won't be on here for a while, but just wanted to say thinking of you anyway. I hope that you get some peace while not ttc over the next week or so, and that af is kind to you this month, so that you feel ready for ttc again soon.

Kat - how'd the dance comp go?

Ready4 - I have managed to cut down to just one b-feed in morning and one before bed at night for ds2. I am having to resist the urge to feed during the day as all my instinct is to just give him a boob during the day, but I know it is more for me to relieve the pressure than him wanting or needing it! I don't know how long I am going to continue breastfeeding for now, I guess I wish I was pg first, so that I know it wont be my last time . I am just glad to be getting a full nights sleep again now too, it makes a difference for me. How are your weaning attempts going or not?

ScorpiowithabigS · 23/03/2009 10:41

I like this ttc thread, becuase its not really ttc iyswim, but its acceptable to suddenly start talkign baout your CM and CP, lol

Well my period was horrendous for first day or 2 but it all stopped now and i guess i am offically 'normal' again . DH will be away when im fertile so we are out this month, but enjoying the breathing space.

Also means no 2009 baby for me, next availabe is Jan 2010 if i get pg next fertile time. Mimi will be nearly 2 by then(21mths), i didnt want the gap to be more than 2. Thinking i do want one more than i dont lately, DH and my friend have both said to me its because im scared, which i guess i am.

babyblue3 · 24/03/2009 11:42

Good Morning all
I am back to work today after 11 days off... it was so hard to get up at 6am! DD2 is still waking up at 4am EVERY morning to cry her head off. This morning we gave in out of sheer exhaustion and brought her to bed with us. Yesterday, we let her cry it out, and she cried on and off from 4 til 5am! To me, it would make no difference about her sleeping in our bed... but with a new baby coming, I can forsee some serious jealousy issues if this continues. So for now... I will be sleep deprived! Sigh....

How is everyone else??

Scorpio - a 21 month age gap wouldn't be too bad. Thats the gap I will have between DD2 and DS2. I think it will be a little easier than the 16 month gap between DD1 and DS1! Besides... now you don't have to worry about going into labour around Christmas!

Kat - Hope you are feeling better. How was dance camp?

My DH and I have finally settled on a name for the baby... which is a huge relief. We went through countless name books, before settling on a name I had suggested to begin with... LOL. I have also been doing a little shopping for the baby, here and there, to stockpile some boys things. 17 weeks to go! LOL

ScorpiowithabigS · 24/03/2009 13:50

I am a weirdo, offically i think.

Saw a girl in town who is my age (know her from school) and she is now apparently pg with her 6th, walking up town smoking (big bump too) and in the past i have heard her call her 3rd boy a C* and all sorts of stuff, her DH doesn't work, but yet i am jealous???????? I wanted my baby, you know

babyblue3 · 24/03/2009 15:43

I know exactly how you feel. It took DH and I 1.5 years of TTC ( not to mention countless invasive and uncomfortable procedures to figure out our fertility issues) before DD1 came along. I'm sure that is a short amount of time for some, but to us, it was an eternity. At the time, I worked as a diet clerk for my local hospital. I delivered meals to maternity patients and would just be of all the teens who obviously had not planned their pregnancy, and were too busy painting their toes or talking on the phone to tend to their crying babies!! Seems so unfair! People who don't appreciate their DC seem to get pg so easily, and those of us who really want them, end up with m/c or not being able to get pg.

rainbowdays · 24/03/2009 20:07

Scorpio - you still sound very sad, but also it does sound like you will be wanting to try again. We can all understand the jealousy.

babyblue - oh 4am is not a fun time to be dealing with crying children. I am finding even my 6am start hard, I must just be soft or something! Remind me why am I ttc again????!!!!!

Ready4anothercoffee · 24/03/2009 23:02

Scorpio, I've been there (((hug))). at the family centre we go to there are about 7 women who are all expecting, all within a couple of months of each other. one is with an unplanned 7th, another is expecting her 8th, and seeral more are expecting either 1st, 3rd or 5th ones. I can't go there much atm, the green eyed monster bubbles deep within. Btw, a 21mth age gap works well, that's what I have between DS and DD1.

I am on the second night of trying to wean DD2 again. Last night I caved at 1am, which all came up again as she hadn't really the room for it, then she had a feed at 6. tonight, she's been ok, a bit restless, but hopefully the hot water bottle will cure that, and I'll relent at 6am again to relieve the pressure in my left boob, which is currently twice the size of the right

Babyblue, now it's getting lighter, can she be persuaded to play in her cot with a couple of toys? 5 am is no fun.

Hope everyone else is ok.

mrsdisorganised · 25/03/2009 10:53

Hello all!

Had a week of sick dcs, nasty bugs doing the rounds but all clear now (fingers crossed). Dh in a accident on Monday, ok but a bit shaken, left for work today but won't be back until the end of next week i suspect So not really been that great! Onwards and upwards and all that!

Ready I feel so sorry for the boob soreness, it's horrible but it will go! Had it badly with dd4 as we both weren't ready to stop bf.

Scorpio you're not a 'weirdo'! Just a normal emotional woman, we all know those feelings and yes it makes it harder looking at others who perhaps shouldn't be pg or have so many dcs.x

Rainbow and babyblue I don't know how you manage the early mornings to work with dcs to deal with too
Hope everyone else is ok.....Hi to Twigs if you're lurking kat hope you're feeling better!

babyblue3 · 25/03/2009 11:42

Well... finally got a decent nights' sleep!! Hooray! DD2 went to sleep at 10pm (which is late, but I'm usually still up so I don't care), and slept ALL night! I feel soooo much better today. Still can't figure out why she is being so grumpy during the day though. It may be her molars coming in... or terrible twos early... either way, it tiring!

Awfully quiet here lately...

Hope everyone is well! Anyone POAS???

ScorpiowithabigS · 25/03/2009 13:08

thankyou my lovelies

rainbowdays · 25/03/2009 20:13

babyblue - yay for a good nights sleep for you. As for POAS, I will be P on OPKs soon rather than the important sticks. Is there anyone here waiting to POAS yet?

babyblue3 · 26/03/2009 11:18

Well... I'm 2 for 2!! Another good night sleep (except for the cat howling half the night... bugger got himself locked in my DDs room and I didn't find him there til morning). Hopefully DD2 is over her little phase.

Helllooooooo where is everyone??

mrsdisorganised · 26/03/2009 12:14

Very quiet I agree Babyblue! Haven't got much time, I help run playgroup on a Thurs but wanted to say hi.....any ideas for constant nausea anyone...can't keep eating!!! Seriously though! Will chesck in later to see if theres been anymore thread movement! x
