Here Dd2 has won the battle, and got fed last night.She's screamed for 2 nights, and Dh was so tired he was scared he'd be a liability at work (coach driver). I guess she knew in my heart I wasn't ready to stop. I was really hopin af was on it's way too, as I'd been quite crampy Any ideas for getting Af to come, so I can get cracking?

Poor you, Ready, completely understand how you fed her again - it is SO hard if they (and you) don't want to stop.

My period arrived this morning. Don't feel too mis, just glad it didn't make me wait any longer (and glad I was waiting until Friday to test again). Here's to a lucky month this month. don't think I'm going to join any ttc threads, though.

ps, Rainbow, I wanted to ask you something about temping. I want to start temping to check i ovulate. I used to do it before DC1, and it was easy to wake at the same time and put a thermometer in my mouth for 2 mins, now I can't imagine doing it at all. I get woken at different times and get children's feet/hands/fingers shoved in my face before I've woken up, so no chance of lying there serenely with a thermo in my mouth. how do you manage it with little children around?

Hello! Just wanted to say hi as have been awol since the weekend. Haven't had a chance to catch up properly as work crazy and house engulfed with workmen at the mo'! Just wanted say BABYBLUE how pleased I am about your news - what a relief! FWIW I was one of the 1% who never got a full result for amnio (culture failure) but had my early results to go on, and consultant said he had never seen anyone with good early results go on to have 'bad' second ones.
Must get back to work, but will try to have a good read through later.
Oh and spa was wonderful - seems a lifetime ago [sigh]

Twigs - It is difficult doing temping, but ds2 frequently wakes at around 1 am, so if I have been asleep for 3 hours then I take the temp then while waiting to see if he will settle himself back to sleep. If he wakes anytime between 3 and 5am I dig dh in the ribs to go sort him out if necessary, then I have my alarm set for just before the kids get up and take my temp then or anytime after 5am. If I have had to be up during the night then I take the first temp of the night at around 1am ish, if I have managed to stay in bed then I take my temp on waking in the morning. We do have our children trained not to come into us in the morning before their clocks say it is "morning time", therefore I do not often get disturbed by the older two before my alarm. I have found that I can still get a pattern from the temps, but I just note what time the temp was taken and adjust if necessary.

Thanks Rainbow, will give it a go. There was such a lovely pattern when I recorded it before, but don't expect I can be as disciplined as I was then. Do you use a mercury thermo, or an oral digital one?

twigs - I use an oral digital one. Much easier to read when half asleep

cd19 today apparently just had to go and count, lol, have made good effort , especially as i missed DH over the weekend, lol. Although i cannot really pinpoint much ewcm, but a high cp again?

No results yet. They told me it would be about 3 weeks... so I expect I will learn the sex from my scan first.

When I used to take my morning temps, I never really saw much of a pattern. Even my OB (who made me take temps for 3 months while we were struggling to conceive DD1) said they saw no pattern. Very frustrating! Best of luck to those doing that now

Thank goodness its Friday... what a long week! Its pouring rain here and 8 degrees... but supposed to drop suddenly this afternoon till it hits -15 tonight with a -22 windchill! ICK! Or should I saw BRRRRR!!

Trying to work out where I am in the month I think I must be about CD28 so not long to go, usually 32 days, have decided not poas until after af due date as I always get disappointed and it's a waste of money!

Just been told to do a preg test in a couple of weeks tomake sure I'm showing negative.

Probably going to wait until next AF before I try again just to be boringly sensible but feeling excited

Well I had an odd night last night! Do you remember a few wks back I mentioned I'd sent an innocent text and it had gone to the wrong person. Well this person was horrid to me last night, I'll call her T

I'll try and keep this as brief adn uncomplicated as i can!!! Basically there's a group of friends whom I've known for 8 yrs or so, they're all pretty close, but one (T) has fallen out spectacularly with each one of us, I was first 8 yrs ago, this was due to her son and my son having an accident in teh cloakroom, her son came off worse so she didn't speak to me for 2 yrs - nice. Anyway, over the past 5 yrs or so she's been incredibly apologetic about it, so we moved on.

So her closest friend (N) amongst this group and her had their (inevitable) fall out in the SUmmer and it's been continuing ever since.

I hardly see T but see N frequently because we're Mums at same school, also N texts me frequently to catch up and see how I am/tell me how she is etc T never does, despite me over this past yr texting her to see how she is, without a reply.

SOOOOO a month or so ago, a few of us start talking about arranging a surprise party for one in the group, so i and N get in touch with T who categorically says she doesn't want to be involved and has plans anyway.

All along, I have made my position clear, I'm not taking sides. Last weekend was friend's birthday so N and I go round with some pressies and cards. An hr later T turns up on doorstep (she lives 2 doors away from birthday girl!), Niamh goes to door too so I get up and say hello, I get a v abrupt hello and a stoney look. what have I done????

So last night is surprise party for birthday girl, N and I go round ehr house and collect her, bring her to venue, and low and behold, T iS THERE!!!!!!!! Stoney faced when N and I walk in with birthday girl!!

About an hr later I go to the toilet and T comes in and calls me back in as I'm leaving as says in a sarci voice 'thanks for telling me about the change of venue, that was really nice, thanks mate'

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY would i tell her about teh change of venue, SHE DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT AND SAID SHE HAD PLANS THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG I SO BADLY don't need this. I REALLY am such an unconfrontational person and I think she knows it. But WHY have a go at ME? I'M not the one who's fallen out with her!!!!!!

In my book, you don't have a go at a pregnant woman???

Heinz - what a terrible stress on you. Its rough when our friends get so childish and we are caught in the middle. I wouldn't stress too much on it. She is gonna be a brat no matter what you say or do. And soon enough, people will realize this and stop asking her to come around.

This weekend has gone by too quickly. I feel like I have been fighting something... sigh... will these bugs not leave me alone already! Just want to sleep ALL DAY!

Ok.. I have a really silly question to ask . This week I will be half way through my pregnancy, and my BBs are still KILLING me! More the nipple than anything else... and its really annoying. I also find that the whole BB is sore when I first wake up in the morning, or if I change my sleeping positions at night. I have NEVER experienced this in any of my other pregnancies. Usually the sensitivity was done after the first 2 months. Anyone been through this?

How is everyone else doing? Looks like I am getting a cold... sigh... understandable with the way our weather keeps changing. Better than the flu!

On the plus side... been feeling my little bean moving around now on a daily basis. Still more squirms than actual kicks... but I will take anything at this point! How are all the other carrots doing?

BB how exciting!! , my boobs hurt all through my last pregnancy on and off, I sympathise!

My boobs have stopped hurting completely now YEY. Feeling much better and less exhausted so looking good! Hoping AF will be early or on time this month... I'm going to a dance festival with the kiddies for a week at the beginning of April so no BD for that week. I don't want to be out of the running for another month! If AF turns up on time I'll be going on CD 16 which is fine (just)...

I am so happy that things seem to be almost back to normal for you Kat. Hopefully AF will co-operate... a dance festival will certainly make your 2ww go by faster

So tomorrow is the big day for me! My scan!! Since I still have not heard back about my final amnio readings, I am hoping the scan will tell me the sex. LOL... I have my whole family sitting at the edge of their seats already! LOL. Anyway, I know the day will pass slowly, since the scan isn't until 7pm, but at least I will be able to breathe some relief after it is done. Hopefully it will show a healthy little bean, with all parts as they should be. Even my mum seems to be coming around after her initial disapproval of this pg. Today she was asking if there was anything we needed to buy for the baby. Even offering to buy us the double stroller! Definite progress.

Heinz - has your 'friend' tried to contact you again?? Hopefully she will smarten up and either start treating you better, or do you the favour and leave you alone.

Well think the arrival of af is imminentso no exciting news here......on the up side we're going away for a two night break in Edinburgh tomorrow without dc's, first time leaving dd4 for two nights so a bit nervous, she'll be fine though it's always the parent thats 'childsick'!

Babyblue...how exciting to feel your lo, and having the scan too....
