TTC - Clomid Thread

Hi just wondered if people ttc on Clomid wanted to join this thread unless i have been stupid and missed one.

We are due to fertility clinic on 22nd and expect to go on clomid again.

We have 2 dc. Ds1 is nearly 9 and was concieved without fertility help. THis was a big surprise as have PCOS and was told would never conceive naturally.

Ds2 was conceived after 1 course of clomid 50mg. My day 21 test was awful and still no period after 45ish day. Was put on progesterone to induce bleed. Didnt happen as was pregnant.

Was also on metformin but not currently, waiting for all clear next week. I have dodgy lft generally on medication and also bfing.

Ds2 is 1 now and still breastfeeding. Hoping this will not hinder any treatment as really want to continue this too. I am now 33 so fertility decreasing too.

I dont have a cd currently as all up the shoot so waiting to see what happens really.

Clure have you decided if you will take provera for af? or did you already start and I missed it when I was offline lol. I've had cystitus, hate it!! Its the burny feeling when you try to pee then nothing comes out nightmare, superdrug do cystitus relief sachets which seemed to help me

paddington you sound peeved chick, best try to wait til af is due then test, the waiting around is the worst part

lisa dont give up, i tested the day before my period with a clearblue (up to 4 days early) and got a negative, then tested the next day and got my positve. also got lots of cm like you said to, so fingers crossed for you

hi ever one hows everone doing well i am going to start takeing provera on the 9th of april. so hope that it help me so i can start clomid. can someone help me is their any side effects and can it make the clomid not work as good am on 10mg of provera and 50mg of clomid. i only on 50mg of clomid before when i fell preg with my twins. didnt need to take provera the first time can effect me geting preg?

Well no AF again and still no signs i'm feeling very fustrated at the mo. i just want to keep testing but i am stopping myself!! day 31 today and day 35 is as long as i've gone on clomid.

millymolly my understanding of provera is that it gives you a shot of progersterone so that brings on a period which you need in order to take the clomid. I'm not aware of provera actually having a negative effect on the clomid, otherwise it probably wouldn't be prescribed alongside clomid

stac I was hoping my period would appear naturally and really wanted to hold off on the provera. have had such a mad busy week that haven't been able to ring GP at 8 am to get an "on the day" appointment, however am going to give them a ring this morning and see when next appt is.

Thanks for all your advice on cystitis. I went to bed early with a hot waterbottle, having drunk few large glasses of water and cranberry juice. It's really weird because this morning I feel a lot better but still a bit tender "down there". I will get in some of the sachets when I pop out later just in case. Think also i'm a bit run down.

I dont think there are any side effects with regards to using provera with clomid, the progesterone would naturally be in your body when taking a period anyway its just a synthetic way of inducing it for you.

They said I didn't ovulate on cd 21 blods but have taken cd28 bloods so probably waiting for af as I doubt I'm pregnant this month, have to see the consultant on Monday to see what next move is as the progesterone is making me soo moody. xx

It depends on whether the woman has high LH levels. A woman with elevated LH may consistently get positive tests or get erratic readings. Most women will show some kind of line in the result window of a test since LH is always present ? it is important to note that a positive result is as dark or darker than the control line. The Clearplan Fertility Monitor notes that it is unreliable for women with PCOS. It's a good idea to check with one's doctor for suggestions on home monitoring

I had my day 9-12 scan today and there are 2 follicles ( size 20 and 24 ) Doc said this is great so lots of bding over this weekend which is lucky as we are away for a romantic weekend. woohoo.

Hi ladies well i have some news i definitely did ovulate and when i had my 1st blood test i had a level of 11 progestrone but good estrogen and results from my actual cycle day 21 test doc is very happy progestrone of 92!!! Anyone got any ideas on how good this is. I know that they look for anything over 30. Had a fright earlier thought i saw some blood but im not 100 percent but really got to me.
How is everyone doing?

Well fingers crossed for you paddington, no sign still i'll go buy some more tests tomorrow then test first thing sunday morning, i got a feeling i aint dont no why. mind you dont no why my af hasnt appeared either. 35 days is tuesday (longest AF) so if still no signs of AF and if neg pg test then i will ring gyny on weds and see what they say

Sgibbo - hello of course you are welcome but i dont nkow about the injection, sorry. Is this our first you are trying for? Tell us a bit about yourself. I am ttc #3 and 33 with diagnosis of PCOS. Currently on clomid 150mg cd2-6.

I am having freaky real dreams at the moment, not had this before on clomid so am finding it unnerving as not sure when i wake if I am awake ifkwim. Also been quite.. urmm 'emotional'.. This period is still going on too, hpoing will stop soon as full of cold too and tired out.

AWEN.. good luck! I had freaky dreams too this month & managed to get a bfp. I also had bad headaches, severe back aches & felt real dizzy when i used the steam/sauna rooms (stupid using them i know, but i didnt think i would fall pregs). Apart from those symptoms i had nothing else (still dont),not even sore nipples etc. Oh yes ..& i had spotting! (& i still do.I may even be back on the bus next month, touch wood i will need too though).

Morning girls I had odd dreams too- infact last night i slept walked for the first time in my life scared the life out of my partner at least i woke myself up! I also had terrible back ache and feeling bit dizzy about a week ago.

sgibbo Welcome to the thread, sorry I am the same as Awen and haven't heard of this reatment but I am quite new myself, but you'll get lots of support on here regardless.

I still feel crampy but I'm starting to think I am imagining it because I want af naturally lol, who knows!! For the first time I actually would like to get af, but looking forward to seeing consultant on Monday, anyone any idea what I should ask? It's not that I am expecting to be pregnant within 2 months of clomid but I'm not being scanned and the progesterone really isnt agreeing with me so I will peobably focus on that stuff.

lisylou is your AF due on tuesday? It's so tough waiting. Are you tempted to test? I think I held off testing last time as I think I didn't want to be disappointed and was also in denial. Its a case of if you test now and get a negative, it could be a bit early to test and you could leave it a few days and try again, on the other hand the suspense is tough!

This is mad, quite a few of you are willing AF not to come and I'm hoping it will come (so that i can get on and take clomid) Got to ring GP on Monday at 8 to get an appointment later that day as I'm teaching all day.

Hi Clure, my AF cam on day 35 on first lot of clomid and on my 2nd lot i started spotting on day 27 then it appeared properly on day 29, i am up to day 32 at the mo and no signs of AF, so am not sure whats going on. Am feeling really tired all the time, alot of discharge and slight back ache??? god nos whats going on. Done test thurs and was negative

lisylou you could try another test, I would maybe hold off another couple of days if poss. Though your symptoms sound promising? x

Yeah they do sound promising, but just dont understand why the neg test. and if not pg dont understand why i havent come on, its slowly driving me mad i think, i just want to know either way.
