TTC - Clomid Thread

Hi just wondered if people ttc on Clomid wanted to join this thread unless i have been stupid and missed one.

We are due to fertility clinic on 22nd and expect to go on clomid again.

We have 2 dc. Ds1 is nearly 9 and was concieved without fertility help. THis was a big surprise as have PCOS and was told would never conceive naturally.

Ds2 was conceived after 1 course of clomid 50mg. My day 21 test was awful and still no period after 45ish day. Was put on progesterone to induce bleed. Didnt happen as was pregnant.

Was also on metformin but not currently, waiting for all clear next week. I have dodgy lft generally on medication and also bfing.

Ds2 is 1 now and still breastfeeding. Hoping this will not hinder any treatment as really want to continue this too. I am now 33 so fertility decreasing too.

I dont have a cd currently as all up the shoot so waiting to see what happens really.

Hi Ladies how we all doing? Still feel nothing Bloated still- or ive been putting on weight!- bad times!
Still got the tender breast problem- is this just the clomid?
I dont know when im going to test im not actually due til tues by the looks of it. it was only today someone suggested to take an early test in a few days- oh my lord the thought of even looking!!

Any advice girls need some cheering up!

I assume that they do just give a period if you arent pregnant.

I'm good thanks, looking forward to Wednesday to get my blood results to see if I have ovulated, hopefully I have at least then the clomid is working.

Hey paddington I have felt the same way you are but I was just assuming I've put weight back on, haven't had sore boobs though but have read of women who have had sore boobs when on clomid, what dose are you on?

paddington how many days are your cycles?
I've never found the early ones any good, i wouldnt bother and wait untill you are due your af as you could be disappointed for no reason, decision is yours though obviously.

i have to take something to induce my first af but after the first lot of clomid mine came naturally but 35 days first time and 27 days last time and i'm on day 27 now so clomid does mess your af up!!!

Well still no signs of anything really slight ache in stomaach sore boobs and just really tired oh and a bit of discharge (sorry tmi!) Oh i hate the waiting game!!!

Wow been very busy on here (well actually i have just been completely crap and avoiding mumsnet and contact with the outside world).. I now know why as period arrived this morning. Actually feel better now its here as any worries i had about taking clomid and not realising pregnant have gone. Start 150mg tomorrow days 2-6 and then scan day 10 with blood tests day 21 i think. IT would be funny if it did work this time as I would end up with another christmas baby.

Stac - if uyou ovulate on clomid then if not pregnant period should come as the natural progesterone levels fall, fingers cross that you dont get period though

My GP is a nightmare about phoning with test results so unless I phone and harrass him I wouldn't find out but the consultant at the hospital wants my bloods done cd21, cd 28 and cd 35 so I will be able to ask the nurse if I have ovulated when I get my bloods done and if not then I'm going back to the docs

How are you feeling now? Thats good to hear that if you ov then you get af naturally the progesterone makes my mood really crap, hoping for af or at the least ovulation, sick of waiting lol

Hello All,

Paddington Don't test yet and I promise I'll wait too! I keep thinking about it all the time, but my AF is not due till Sun and early testing always upsets me. I tested 2 days early last month and a flash of colour showed up in the preg window staight away and then then test didn't work properly and had a bit of a line in both windows, but not a complete one in either. So I was still confused. My AF was slightly late and the nurse at the FC suggested CP as I was feeling pretty ropey just before AF too.

Stac I'm still tired - Sunday was the worst - I just couldn't lift myself to do anything and that is just not me at all!

Well just got my blood results - had it done on CD20 as CD21 was a Saturday. My progesterone level was 112 which is pretty high so fingers crossed.

Am very anxious and being a stresshead - which makes me wonder if my AF will come. Not being very tolerant of DD's tantrums. 5 days till AF and I just can't relax. I hate this time of the month, but it helps that lots of us are at this stage together.

Have so much to do and organise today, but am not getting very far with anything right now!

Had tiff with DH - he is over tired and over worked and says that I'm nagging him. I think the nagging was necessary this time or he would never get stuff done!

Help - I can't take my mind off of TTC. I have tons to do at home and work, but it is all being pushed to the back of my mind I'm afraid!

Well still no sign of AF and no AF signs either [hmmm] Still feeling all the symptoms of being pg but too scared to test as the disappointment will kick in yet again oh i dont no what to do!!!!!

A few us keep the list going, it's just good to know where we're all at then you know who your cycle buddy is lol, looks like you and Awen are the closest at the moment.

Mummycat thats a great reading for progesterone, know how you feel about the tiredness, although I went mad yesterday and scrubbed the kitchen from top to bottom, goodness knows whats going on with my brain. Trying to study but can't stop thinking about getting results tomorrow.

lisylou Hold off testing until af is due then at least you know it will be more acurate, I know it's hard especially with all the success stories on here at the mo

When is AF due Lisy?

Awen I have to mentally force myself not to find out EDDs each month otherwise I would go insane!

Umm well thats a very good point first month was 35 days then last month i started spotting on day 27 and AF came properly on day 29 so who knows what it will be this month!!!!!!

Big congrats Ray hope its a sticky one, its defo a lucky thread so Im gonna stay put and hope it rubs off on me.
Its a bit of a nightmare at the mo DH dad is staying with us ( long story )so not exactly feeling relaxed and in the mood if his next door . Gonna try and be very quiet and see what happens.
Cant wait till my scan on fri to see if I have any follicles as not had one before.

Dunno about anyone else but I had a really bad day sunday ( crying and just down in the dumps ) I wasnt sure why at first but maybe subconciously its coz it was mothers day and as I have no DC it affected me. It probably didnt help when my 4 year old niece asked me "why wasnt I a mummy yet" and "when I was going to have some babies". Bless her but it got to me and had to swallow the lump in my throat and say "Luck has not come my way to give me a baby but hopefully next mothers day I will be a mum"
God Im blubbing again

Aww Clairebear it will happen for you chick, I have been getting really emotional since taking the clomid maybe its that thats causing you to feel so down, if thats the case don't worry it passes. xx

Well I should have phoned GP for appointment today but forgot as its a school day/ rushing DD to nursery plus just discoverd car is 2 months past MOT! Oh lordy what an airhead. I feel tired at the moment - training hard for my half marathon, end of term and waiting for AF which I don't think is going to happen. MUST phone GP tomorrow. Hearing of everyone else here going through your cycles I feel time is standing still for me and feel bit frustrated. Sorry for moan.

Hearing some of you ladies saying you have sore boobs, I just remembering when I had clomid last time and fell pg I had horrendously sore boobs. I remember going for a run and having to wear 2 bra's (bit mad considering I'm only an A cup
