Katonahottinroof · 03/02/2009 13:56

I have no idea when I OV'd and I should be 6+3 going by LMP. Nothing seems to make any sense... I thought about that 'twin' scenario too Scorpio....

Cornwall is beautiful am V jealous! I quite like living here though we're kind of in between city and countryside, in the middle of Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle. DH wants to emigrate but I can't imagine leaving my Mum!!! I'm so sad LOL I'd have to take her with me but then my Gran would have to come too

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 13:57

it's pretty yes, but am so far down in cornwall that we have no decent shops, & it takes a million hours to go anywhere!

Snow has started to melt...wondering about going i ntown to get a pee stick....

Nemoandthefishes · 03/02/2009 14:00

Diege you arent far from me[knowsley] so just down M62

Quick hello to all and just to say had 20wk scan yesterday and I am expecting another little girl so will have DS 5.dd1.3 and dd2 2 when dd3 is born[weird to type dd3]
hope everyone is ok

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 14:02

Congrats Nemo - and also your poor ds with all those girls

Katonahottinroof · 03/02/2009 14:03

YEY another pink bundle! I'm the same as you in that I have a DS then 2 DDs, I'd love another boy but then again another girl would be fab too so I can honestly say I'd be really happy with either! (normally I'm lying when I say that lol)

DDs are lovely though, have you been scouting the baby name threads yet? I love that page!

Nemoandthefishes · 03/02/2009 14:06

lol kat yes posted a thread this morning as dh doesnt like names i like

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 14:06

Sometimes i particularly would like another dd, then other times a ds, so either here too i guess

I like Dexter & Mason at the moment; & Eloise, Esme and Lacey.

Katonahottinroof · 03/02/2009 14:06

Oh Scorpio missed your post - so sorry. Why don't you get a digi then you'll be less likely to use it before Sat due to the expense? I agree RE the evils of ebay cheapies.... they are SO bad! I wouldn't be in this situation if I didn't have any as I wouldn't spend loads of money on proper tests lol.

sweetkitty · 03/02/2009 14:06

hello all am always lurking on this thread to see if theres anymore BFPs

scorpio - have you POAS yet?

nemo - fantastic news another DD

hope everyone else is doing OK too

Katonahottinroof · 03/02/2009 14:09

My imaginary DD3 will be Anna Sophia (Sophia after my g.grandmother). if I have a DS he'll probably be James after his Dad (BORING) or Finlay because I like it

I like Dexter it's lovely. Lacey is my fave out of your girls names... I love name threads LOL

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 14:09

sweetkitty - lol @ you lurker No i havent POAS yet, since i knew i was testing far too early debating when to. Will be - anyway.

Kat - oh i dont know! Will feel such a waste if expensive test & bfn...thought i might just get tesco tests, 2 for £5? or do you think a CB be better? Am going to sed DH out for one later as we need nappies later anyway; i am not lazy just dont drive & town 15 minutes walk away and too cold.

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 14:10

DS2 is Jamie....i like James too. I nearly called Mimi Lacey but Millie had already stuck!

babyblue3 · 03/02/2009 14:18

Well... its snowing here AGAIN! We are going to miss the big storm that was predicted (up to 25cm), but are still going to get another 5cm. I am soooo sick of it! One day I will have to post a pick to show what the front of my house looks like!

MrsD - so sorry to hear that DH is no longer on board. I agree with the others though. When your youngest gets a bit older, he may begin to feel broody too! LOL...

Kat - limboland is awful! But I do think you would have felt some pain at some point if it were ectopic or incomplete m/c. Losing a twin happened to my trainer. She bled and thought she m/c early on, but started having pg symptoms few weeks later. When she did not get her period, she went to doc and found out she was 3 months along! Hope it works out for you!

Heinz - How did your scan go?? Do you have to do the 2 sets of bloodwork with the nuchal scan as well? We do... one at the time of the scan, and one between 15 and 17 weeks. I go for my second set on Monday. Only after that, can they give me the results of the scan. I'm nervous! The baby wouldn't let them measure easily, so I hope the results won't be messed up causing me unnecessary worry!

Gee... my posts are always sooo long... sorry!

babyblue3 · 03/02/2009 14:39

Congrats Nemo! I can't wait to find out what I am having! Hoping for another DS, as I already have 2 DDs... but would be happy with either. My DH and I can't agree on any names either... especially boys names! DD2 is Sofia... love that name I like Isabella right now... DH not so much (we are Italian so they tend to be ethnic sounding names).

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 15:00

Those of you who are done at 4 - i have always thought i would like to egg donate when i have finished having my own babies - do any of you think that too? I will be 26 at most i expect, so in theory should have good quality eggs to offer. Do any of you who find pg easy and birth easy think about surrogacy? Could you do it? Anyone know how easy/hard it is to donate - could i just go to GP and say i want to donate?

I think i could egg donate for sure; unsure on surrocagy.

Diege · 03/02/2009 15:01

Agree, love the name Lacey!
Congrats on having another dd NEMO - that's lovely news. Assume you have scans etc at the Womens?? Was there when I lived in Liverpool when pregnant with dd1 - trasnferred mid-way, but have heard it's a great place to give birth as you get private room after etc..
Well after much argument and pot throwing me and dh (well dh) have decided on the first name Benjamin. Not massively keen myself, though I'm not offended by it and I love 'Ben' (I like more unusual names like Noah and Theodore, even 'odd' ones like Felix )but after me naming the 3dds, he wasn't backing down on this one. Had the say on the middle name though (I'm Welsh and wanted to uyse my dad's middle name, 'Llewellyn')so (for now at least), it's Benjamin Llewellyn .

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 15:02

if you like Ben, what about Benedict? We like Max too

Diege · 03/02/2009 15:14

I love Max!! (but dh says it's a dog's name ). Ditto Benedict, though maybe a tad religious it being the pope's name and all (my mum would be pleased her having converted to Catholicim ).
I think dh is set on Benjamin, and while it's def not my first choice, is a 'grower'. Will never get my Matilda Grace now!
Oh and re: egg donation etc, I think that's a wonderful idea. I'm too old, or would consider it myself. Surrogacy?? If I had good pregnancies and would be a host (ie, their sperm and eggs) then yes - think it's a real gift, but not sure if my eggs iyswim?, unless for close family member. That's great to be considering such a generous process though.

Diege · 03/02/2009 15:15

LoL, just noted the contradiction there re: my eggs. Odd that I'd be happy for them to go to make someone else's baby through donation, but would feel bonded to a baby growing inside me with my own eggs???

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 15:19

I would only be a surrogate with someone leses biological baby; as i would see their embryo being put in and i would see the disassociation.

Re donating my eggs - well i wouldnt know it was successful, although i have to leave my details that the child can access at 18.

I have always thought of it - and as 4 is my lot, i may be able to help other/s have a baby too. I always wonder if its more beneficial 'linking' with someone if it helps them get discounted ivf or something...but then i would know the baby was biologically half mine...odd.

I really want to donate; DH is fine with it, says its up to me.

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 15:21

plus im 24 now, hoping to be 26/27 when donating - so young, viable eggs i guess.

I have easy pgs and births, but not sure if surrogacy is a step too far. Would do it for a family member and 2 close friends of mine.

Katonahottinroof · 03/02/2009 15:37

I went through a phase of wanting to donate my eggs but as we have asthma in the family (hardly that significant) I learnt that it might be a problem, plus DH wasn't too keen on the idea.

I think it's a fantastic thing to do. I wouldn't do surrogacy simply because I don't do pregnancy all that well but if I had nice easy pregnancies and the baby wasn't bio mine then I would def consider it.

Nemoandthefishes · 03/02/2009 15:55

I would donate eggs but am an overweight asthmatic and DD1 also has very bad asthma.

Deige I love Ben and Max[although max was dhs dogs name] I am just hoping we manage to reach an agreement before DD3 is born as we had nathan and Sam picked for boys names but DH is always a nightmare with the girls ones.

Nemoandthefishes · 03/02/2009 15:56

meant to say will be at the womens..had all the gang there even though whiston is actually closer for me.

Diege · 03/02/2009 16:04

I may be making this up NEMO, but do you and I have the same due date?? [stalkerish emoticon] I'm 21st June (by scan), one day ahead of my LMP date.
