why DID you get sterilised ruby? we are almost definatley sure that we dont want anymore ................although me lurking on here all the time isnt helping things!! and i think we MIGHT consider getting dh snipped, but i would hate to make a big mistake. how long did you take to decide about getting sterilised? i was thinking i should wait at least a year and see if we still feel the same

rainbowdays...........why the change of heart?

simon cowell? oh dear! oh no!!...............

Hya Greedy.
At the time we were sure that we didnt want anymore babies. DD was about 20 months old DS2 was 2yo, DS1 was 6yo, and everything seemed sooo hard, as they were all poor sleepers and expert trantrum-throwers. We thought about it for prob 12mnths, and there was no way that DH would have his bits tampered with , so there as only 1 option.
It is only really the last 6mnth that I have felt so broody. I am waiting for appointment at hosp to discuss the reversal. So nothing happening at the mo..

Ruby ? I?m hoping that it isn?t too long till you are in the good company of your 2 good buddies

Jemimap ? hopefully AF will arrive soon and you can get busy on making baby 4

Adie ? how are things with you? Getting close to O exciting

Diege ? how is bump coming along

Greedy ? has the broodiness cover come yet???

Rainbow - how is the 2 ww going?? Any weird and wonderful symptoms?

Tilly ? how is everyone feeling now? ? how is your 2ww?

Nemo ? how is your bump?

Ready for another coffee ? welcome are you ttc or just thinking about it right now?

I?m feeling really down, thinking that it is probably a silly idea to even think I might manage to get pregnant after needing fertility treatment with the other 3. Still what will be will be and I am eternally greatful for the 3 DC I already have. I?m guessing I?m feeling it more this week as 2 friends have just had babies in the last week! Anyway ? hoping everyone is well

Squidgy, thankyou for your support .Sorry that you are feeling low (((sending you huggy-vibes!))) also am so grateful for the 3 beautiful, healthy kids that we already have, but it doesn't take away the overwhelming desire for another, does it ? On a positive note, my friend who is currently expecting, had IVF for DS1 (who is now 6yo), and conceived naturally this time. So you never know !

tillyblue · 10/11/2008 18:19

Oh Squidgey my dear, dont be down.
If it helps.. all my friends who have had IVF have conceived naturally and, in complete surprise, their last child. Anything is possible. And you could obviously go through the fertility process again?
As I said I have Pcos and last pg was a mc but I have decided to go again. Anything's possible . Keep me company!

Anyway am publicly electing as club secretary..Squidgybrain, for her efficiency and memory skills.

Ready4anothercoffee - well of course the practice is always nice and you just never know what will happen ? wouldn?t it be nice to get pregnant without having the witch come and visit!!

Ruby ? no having 3 doesn?t take away the desire ? although I do count my blessings and realise that I am blessed with having 3 healthy happy children. Thanks for the huggyvibes ? it helped. I am just feeling so hormonal ? which is unusual for me!

Tilly ? thanks for the encouragement. We certainly couldn?t afford to go down the IVF route again, clomid would be an option (and I have some in the cupboard ? what do you mean everyone doesn?t have clomid in their cupboards?) I wasn?t ovulating when I got pregnant via IVF or clomid ? and I am now ? so it isn?t out with the realms of possibility ? just not feeling like that today. It is PCOS I have too ? isn?t it a biatch! I would be delighted to keep you company thank you for the election of club secretary ? good job you didn't elect me as treasurer as I may have raided the club funds and spent all the money on pee sticks?..I can tell it won?t be long till I give in and start weeing on things???.

Have just found a great site that explains the powers of the various pg tests www.ovulation-calculator.com

It says you can test at 10dpo for 25m/U hcg... I will be 10dpo tomorrow. Oooh!

(I will sneak off to collect eldest 2 from Guides via Supermarket under cover of darkness)!

How are you all today ladies?

hoping operation peestix goes well!!

I bought 100 cheap pee sticks from ebay for last time, they are still in date til next march and I have about half of them left, so POAS from 10dpo is an absolute must for me, afterall I wouldn't want them to go to waste would I?!

I am post-ov now, but not exactly sure days.

squidge - glad you have accepted club sec role, so you can keep us all on track as to who is testing when...

How is our carrot doing today - not too much puking I hope?

tilly - hope that you get your two lines tomorrow!

greedy - I really think that you will be changing your minds at some point. I have not really changed my mind, just wavering a bit as to the sensibility of it all.

ruby - yep you deserve a 'good' baby as long as I don't get my first terror in return

hi and welcome R4AC

operation peestix!!

Rainbow.. you need to check how sensitive those peesticks are. I have just learned this tonight..
The earliest one was from earlypgtests.com at 10 dpo using 20m/U,
next was Clearblue Easy at 12dpo for 50m/U.
the rest are all about the same at 14dpo.

Didint get tests from supermarket just a large bar of Galaxy and its now gone!

Adie when do you go on the romantic break? Cant believe you are one of 7, how fab!! How old was your Mum when she had her last?

Evening ladies, just about getting a wee chance to come on and catch up with you all! Busy, busy days!!

Squidgy sorry you are feeling low at the mo, its not fair that our emotions are all tangled up with our hormones and can dictate the way we feel. Look back to one of your earliest posts on this thread and you said you were soooo excited about ttc and try and capture that feeling again. This is going to be the anythings possible club...I like that motto!!!

Tilly yes I'n number 4 of 7. My mum had her first at 26 and her last at 36, not a bad decades work!!! Its only since I have had my own children that I realise how hard she worked and how tough it must have been at times. Although she insists that she is reaping all the rewards now with all her family round her fussing over her and dad and keeping them young!!

CD9 today so getting a bit of practice in . We go away on Friday come home Sunday but beginning to wonder if its worth it as am cleaning the house from top to bottom as PIL coming to stay while we are away. Also the guilt of leaving the kids has propelled me into cooking enough food to feed an army, to leave for over the weekend. Why do I feel I have to do that?? MIL is perfectly capable of cooking delicious, nutritious food for them; it just makes me feel better somehow that they need me or something? Will I feel better while lounging in the jacuzzi in the hotel just because I left a shepherds pie for them to reheat?? Probably yeah tee-hee!! ANyway really looking forward to relaxing although know I will miss them all loads.

Tilly are you going to do a sneaky test tomorrow? My name is Adie and I have a poas habit!! I have been known (and it pains me to admit it) to have tested when I was having my period!!! Now what do you make of that and to the outside world I seem like a sane rational person! Its this ttc business it sends us all a bit silly Good luck for that...remember anythings possible!

TILLY ? good luck with the finding the fancy stix! I hear you on the feeling a bit scared! I think that a large bar of Galaxy was the better purchase ! pee stixs don't taste so good

ADIE ? You know when describe our little club like that it sounds like we know what we are doing! It is strange I wouldn?t say I?m feeling low ? just weepy. I?m trying to be brighter today! Wow one of 7 your house must have been full of noise and fun when you were growing up! How lovely that your mum appreciates you all too. How many grandkids do your parents have? Must be the weekend for romantic breaks ? DH and I are off for the weekend too ? will catch up with some friends we haven?t seen for a while on Friday in Glasgow and then across to Edinburgh to book into a swanky hotel (on a cheap deal) and out of a nice meal ? I can?t wait! I hope you enjoy your break. Im soothing my conscious about leaving them by baking some shortbread and buying a large tub of celebrations to send with the kids to MILs. I did have to LOL at you peeing on stixs when you have your period! I am bad but possibly not that bad!

RAINBOW - yes it would be rude not to test from 10dpo when you have cheap pee stix ? when will you start POAS? I do hear you on the sensibility side of things, I do think you know I have 3 kid that go down by 8 and sleep till 7.30 they are all eating independently and only 1 to potty train I must be mad to want another (I also have horrendous pregnancies) but sensibility doesn?t come into it does it?

When are you thinking about starting the peeing thing?
Hi tilly, have you surcummed to temptation and bought stix today? Or do you have super-strong willpower?

Tilly - just want to reassure you that my pee sticks are 10miu, I initially got sent the wrong ones by the company - lousy 25miu ones, but once I complained they sent out the early test ones immediately So I can test from 7dpo no probs. The baby I miscarried last year gave me a positive at 7dpo!!!! So I would say go find a good sensitive test and pee!!!!

adie - am jealous of you lounging in a jaccuzi at the weekend . Also ... My name is rainbowdays and I have a POAS habit!!!!

I just have a little problem now, I don't know how many days post ov I am - so when do I start testing! I either ov'd early on weekend of 1/2 Nov or I ov'd last Friday, not really sure. With irregular cycles it is not possible for me to go by "when af due" as it is so irratic. Probrably ov'd last friday, so does that allow me to start poas from next monday!?!?!?

Rainbow - next monday sounds good to start testing! So that is me you and adie all admitting to being a POAS addicts!
