Twiglettini · 26/01/2009 20:40

hello Rainbow, how are you feeling?

Oooh, that's quite exciting what your dad said. Was that completely unprompted? Can he give you any idea of timescale .

I have no preference for sex of a child - just want to HAVE A BABY - sorry, didn't mean to shout!

Look after yourself theboob.

mrsdisorganised · 26/01/2009 20:44

Me too Twig...if I ever get pregnant thats exactly what I'll be telling all the ...'so you'll be wanting a boy now....' busybodies!!!!

KatB · 26/01/2009 20:48

You think I'm ok to ttc this month having fallen pregnant the last 2 months and mc both times?
Dr says it's up to me but suggested I might like to wait for one AF - I'm too bloody impatient for that!!! Emotionally I'm ready as the losses were so early.

I have always fallen pregnant really easily - 3 happy accidents are testament to that! It's just getting my little beans to stick that seems to be the problem!

KatB · 26/01/2009 20:50

Oh and I'd be happy with any sex but a little boy would be extra special after 2 dds. My 'little' boy is coming up 13 and is a bath shy, stinky, grunty thing! He's still very loving and cuddly though but I miss having a 'little' boy smashing the house up with cars and swords

mrsdisorganised · 26/01/2009 20:50

I think if you've checked it out with the doc and he's left the ball in your court(so to speak), you say you're ok....so why not, might be a bit confusing with dates, I would......

mrsdisorganised · 26/01/2009 20:51

did that make any sense....

KatB · 26/01/2009 22:23

Yea that's pretty much what I was thinking, I'm just scared of it happening again but I would be just as scared if I waited 1 month or 6 years.
Am trying to do a poster presentation and I'm so bored... am at uni for 9 in the morning which means getting the kids up and out for 7.30am not fun. Plus dd2 is being a little minx at the minute... kids, who'd have em?

mrsdisorganised · 26/01/2009 22:28

TBH Kat I would start again now, your body will decide when it's ready to keep another LO (hope that doesn't sound insensitive) and you will always have worries, thats the bit I hate about pregnancy...I'm a nut who has to get all baby stuff out the house until I know the baby is definately coming home! Good luck on deciding when to start again...I know it's hard

Don't envy you...hats off to you at uni though, I don't have the brain capacity at the moment!!

mrsdisorganised · 26/01/2009 22:29

can't spell any more either.....

KatB · 27/01/2009 00:08

Hmm well, I'm supposedly nearly finished uni, got 3 more weeks of lectures, then loads of time off to write my dissertation and revise for my finals in May. Then I am supposed to get a job.... apparently... might have a baby instead though, seems more appealing.

KatB · 27/01/2009 00:12

Oh and - I always forget what I was actually going to say!
I was going to say that I agree with you mrsdis, I know more than most about genetic mutations and bodily functions (more than I care to know but those lecturers love to freak me out). I'm just gonna keep going and one day I will get past 5 bloody weeks!

Diege · 27/01/2009 09:26

Just a quick pop in to say hello - have been thinking of you both KAT and TWIG.
Sorry about af RAINBOW , though you sound nice and positive for this month
Good look SCORPIO, I have a good feeling for you!
Hello to everyone else - haven't had a chance to catch up I'm afraid as we have had the house of sick and lumpy sheets over the weekend - dds only just recovered now.

Have 19 week scan today - very nervous - and then off to London for overnighter and nmeeting tomorrow. Will post when I'm back on Wed night.
Love to all xxx

mrsdisorganised · 27/01/2009 11:03

Hello all...just checking in!

Diege hope your scan goes well for you today, x
Kat...did you manage to get your work done!? You will get past 5 weeks....
Hi Twig hope you're ok today x

Hello everyone else! Bring on the end of January...I hate this month!

scorpio1 · 27/01/2009 11:11

Diege - hope scan goes fab! finding out gender or not? We always do, too impatient. Plus me & DH have real issues deciding on names - we need that 20 weeks!! I like nicknamey names, DH likes more 'proper' names, less americanised than me....IE he wanted to call Mimi Eleanor. And he always goes on about calling a boy Cain

I hope this is lucky month too - but i doubt it. Never is!

babyblue3 · 27/01/2009 12:17

Diege - hope your scan goes well. Hope baby cooperates for you if you are looking to find out the sex.

Kat - I would go ahead and start trying if you are ready for it. I am pg right after my m/c... and my doc uses the first day of m/c as LMP date. So far scans are showing thats pretty accurate. Don't let a silly thing like dates stop you. Even when we know our dates, our little beans will come when they are ready anyway!

Twig - how are you feeling?

How is everyone else? I was let out early from my class yesterday, and decided to go to the gym (after all those thoughts on being FAT!). I jogged on the treadmill for 45 minutes (getting some curious looks too). Today my legs are sore! LOL... had myself a great nap on the sofa afterward! LOL... Does that defeat the purpose??

Another day of class today... another day of getting up at 5:30am At least tomorrow I can sleep in. DD1 and DS have the day off school tomorrow, so I also took the day off. Looks like we are in for another snowstorm (15cm), so it works out well!

Well... class is starting... will check in with you ladies later...

Twiglettini · 27/01/2009 13:30

Hello everyone. Have now told a number of lovely friends in RL, so am feeling loved and supported there as well. Have seen GP this morning and she booked me scan for fri am to check it has all gone. Last time I had a post-mc scan they suspected a molar preg, so had to have erpc and histology - so relieved when it all came back normal. Anyway, not looking forward to scan, but am hoping all will look clear and normal [fingers crossed emoticon].

5.30, babyblue - ooh, don't envy you that, you really deserve your lie in tomorrow.

Scorpio - sorry you sound so pessimistic - you've had 3 lucky months before, it will happen again, fingers crossed for you this month.

Hi MrsD, rainbow, diege, kat and everyone else - how're you all doing?

scorpio1 · 27/01/2009 14:26

Twig - glad you have osme RL support. At least your GP is being very throuogh - i really hope its all clear for you

Whenever we ttc, it always takes a good few months, and i never think it will ever happen, then it does I would like to have a baby this year, really....

scorpio1 · 27/01/2009 14:27

have any of you had/got a puppy? Wondering if it will be like having a toilet trianing 2 year old in the house again.....

Twiglettini · 27/01/2009 14:28

me too

Twiglettini · 27/01/2009 14:29

ha ha x posts. meant 'me too' to wanting a baby this year - sadly, don't think it is going to happen now.

ooh puppy, how exciting.

scorpio1 · 27/01/2009 14:31

i mean of course a baby any year, any day really but you know how you think of an ideal for you? Well this year or early next year would be great

Yes, we have been thinking of a puppy for a long time now, but i have never ever had a dog before, DH has and says go for it whenever, but im worried about training it, will i have enough time for it, the baby (both mimi and dc4) with it?

babyblue3 · 27/01/2009 15:10

Twig - hopefully your scan shows that all is clear and you can start getting to work on baby making

You ladies who want 2009 babies still have a couple months to go! Hopefully the carrot bunch will get bigger soon.

Puppy and 4 kids! LOL.. thats a houseful! Dogs are lovely, but are babies that don't grow up I have a cat right now... and since being pg, he just LOVES me! LOL

scorpio1 · 27/01/2009 18:36

arrgghh my boobs are really sore, I hate PMT.

mrsdisorganised · 27/01/2009 18:55

I feel your pain scorpio....sore boobs, craving for chocolate...optimism out the window!
