rainbow that sounds brilliant, could you use a digi?

Diege · 22/01/2009 11:39

Agree RAINBOW, that does sound hopeful! I have everything crossed for you
Have been having a mild panic about midwife's appointment, just in case she can't find heartbeat. Having said that, the bean is moving about like crazy today which kind of suggests it's alive

mrsdisorganised · 22/01/2009 11:41

You'll be fine and it will be lovely...

Diege · 22/01/2009 11:49

Thanks

HeinzSight · 22/01/2009 12:09

Rainbow that does sound promising! Keeping fingers crossed for you x x

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 12:54

Ditto what these wise women are saying rainbow. Is the line very thin, or same thickness as control line?

Question: are the digital ones more accurate? I just thought they were more expensive, but no more accurate???

babyblue3 · 22/01/2009 13:05

Wow... busy thread indeed!

Diege - good luck with your appointment. Its so exciting to hear the heartbeat for the first time! I am hoping that in a couple of weeks, I will be able to feel my little bean moving too

Boob - that is so incredibly rude what happened to you. I sympathize! People need to learn how to mind their own business!

Rainbow - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you... sounds very promising! My lines on the ebay cheapies were very faint in the beginning even though my beta levels were normal... keep us posted!

This will DEFINITELY be the last baby for me! Although I said the same for both DS and DD2.. I mean it this time. I think I am just getting too old for this! LOL... I love being pregnant, but the first 4 months are killer on me, and I don't think I can handle going through it again! Besides, it took a little convincing to get DH on board with #4 (even though it was his idea to begin with!), and I don't think he would be game to a fifth! Besides, We will be looking into buying a bigger car in the spring, and renovating the house in a few years to make a 4th bedroom and bath. Any more kids and I would have to give up the home I love!

babyblue3 · 22/01/2009 13:16

Oh and I did forget to mention... I also love being a part of this thread! I belong to a couple of threads on American websites, and they are not nearly as supportive or friendly. Not to mention people come and go, so no real friendships there. You ladies are wonderful

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 13:29

Aaah, babyblue, that's lovely. There is something very special about trying for a 4th, isn't there.

KatB · 22/01/2009 13:29

I LOVE this thread too, I know I joined in late but you girls brought me into the busom of your thread and treated me as one of your own

Teehee anyway, I'm 4+5 today, getting lots of niggles, heartburn, waves of nausea, sore boobs. I keep prodding my poor boobs to check they are still sore - I'm so paranoid this time. Last month I mc at 4+6 so I'll spend all day tomorrow in a state of knicker checking panic!

This one is most definitely my last. I always said I wanted to have my family finished by the time I was 30 and I'm 30 in November...I think 4 is a nice even number and it would be especially lovely if I had a boy so I had 2 of each

xxxx

babyblue3 · 22/01/2009 16:21

Hehe Kat.. its funny how odd you think you are, until you read of others doing the same thing. My DH used to think I was nuts for occasionally prodding my boobs, just to check if they were still sore! LOL... But its true, after a m/c you get so paranoid! I m/c at 6w5d so when I hit that date this time round, I spent the entire day in a state of panic! I think once I passed that milestone, I was a lot better off! The knicker checking at least beacame less and less! (although with my last 2 DC I started to bleed heavily from 16-19 weeks... and thats coming up soon so I suspect the knicker checking will begin again soon! LOL).

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 16:47

Hmm, got small amount of brown blood - not happy at all. Am 5 or 6 weeks, so am desperately trying to convince myself it is implantation bleeding, does that happen around this time?

Really feeling very sad and worried.

mrsdisorganised · 22/01/2009 17:55

Try not to worry Twig, I'm not as clued up as these other ladies about implantion, ovulation etc.....but hopefully some one can give you a bit more reassurance. Put your feet up if you can, x

Diege · 22/01/2009 18:07

TWIG, as MRSDIS says, please try not to worry (though easier said than done I know). Brown bleeding around 4/5/6/ weeks sounds like classic implantation. Is there any way you can contact an EPU just to out your mind at rest? xxx

rainbowdays · 22/01/2009 18:17

Twigs - brown blood is nothing to be concerned about - totally normal, expecially at coming up to the 6 week mark. Won't try to tell you not to worry, as that is not possible at this stage, it is inevitable.

babyblue3 · 22/01/2009 19:38

I agree with rainbow... brown blood is nothing to worry about. If you were having cramping and red blood, then I would say go to the hospital. I had spotting at 10 weeks with my son, and very slight pink with this baby... I just have a small tear in my placenta that will heal itself. In fact, the techs didn't see it at my scan this week. I know its hard not to worry.. trust me... Ive been there. Just try to get some rest and go see your doctor when you can. I don't know too much about implantation bleeding, as I never had it, so I can't help you there. Don't worry... you will be fine

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 20:00

Thank you for reassuring words. Rang the hospital and they were kind but said I needed a referral from my GP. My lovely GP phoned me back at 6.15 this evening and said they won't do scans until 6 weeks. My darling husband has just put the children to bed and tidied up all of supper, told me to rest - it is so kind it makes me cry. I'm lucky to have him and them, so I'll be ok either way [way over the top emotional smiley]

KatB · 22/01/2009 20:28

I'm so down... Got pinky blood when wiping. I know this is the end again. 2 miscarriages in 2 months isn't fun. Am gutted.

Got Drs appt tomorrow morning as it happens so I'll speak to her then.

Twig, I'm with ya chick but brown blood is usually ok. Hope you get a good outcome.xxx

theboob · 22/01/2009 20:54

oh kat
sending you >
could it just be inplantation? im keeping everything crossed for you xxxx keep your feet up and take it easy

mrsdisorganised · 22/01/2009 21:01

As theboob said..........lots of ((((((hugs)))))), will be sending out as many positive thoughts as possible your way, REST!!!!!

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 21:24

Oh Kat, so sorry, it is miserable isn't it. Lots of people have fresh blood spotting and it is still OK, so keeping my fingers crossed for both of us. x

HeinzSight · 22/01/2009 21:56

Kat and Twig, am keeping everythings crossed for both of you that it turns out OK. If it's any help, I had 5 days of spotting with this pregnancy right at the beginning. With my last pregnancy I had LOADS of spotting, sometimes it was brown, sometimes red, it all turned out fine.

Big hugs to you both x x

KatB · 22/01/2009 22:39

Thanks girls but this isn't spotting, it's bleeding like last month. Exactly the same time as last month too.. well give or take 12 hours
I'll be ok, but now I feel like there must be something wrong with me. Maybe the dr tomorrow will make me feel better.. I just had a ciggy, I quit 2 months ago.... made me feel better though.. need a bottle of vodka to go with it.
Sorry am rambling. It's late and everyone is in bed got nobody to talk to

mrsdisorganised · 22/01/2009 22:44

Talk away......we're here!

rainbowdays · 23/01/2009 08:40

Oh Kat - so sorry to hear about your bleeding, I really do hope that it is not like last month at all, but I understand that you are feeling . I hope that the dr is of some help to you today.

Twigs - hope that the bleeding stops for you soon.

As for me I am in a little flux of hope again today, but will wait to see what tomorrow brings.
