Good Morning Ladies

Rainbow - I agree... go to the GP and get it sorted. It will take a load off your mind. Besides... right now it could just be due to stress. When I feel too much stress, it usually throws AF off for me... sometimes almost a week!

Yes... its quite cold here now. I live in Canada (southwestern Ontario - not up North). We have been going thru quite the cold snap. With the wind chill, the temps are going into the -20s to -30s. The snow piles next to my driveway are taller than me right now (I'm 5'6" so not short!). Nasty winter! Just makes my morning sickness worse and gives me pressure headaches!

So how are all our new carrots feeling? The morning sickness doesn't usually kick in in force until 7 weeks... so hopefully you still have a little 'feel good' time! I'm glad all your announcements seem to be going well with the family.

HeinzSight · 21/01/2009 20:46

Hi all, sorry I haven't been on for a while. MASSIVE congrats to the new carrots

I'm 10+5 today and still can't believe it. I told my family pretty much straight away but we're waiting until after nuchal to tell our DC, DH's family adn world.

It's astonishing how some people can react to a pregnancy announcement!

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 08:57

Hello all
Good news HeinzSight 10+5 sounds magnificent!

Rainbow - how is it going? Have you managed to make an appt with a GP you like? Babyblue is right, the anxiety really won't be helping and it would be good to have some answers.

Hope you are feeling OK (((rainbowdays)))

My news: nothing new really, not having any preg symptoms, but have to believe it is real as no AF and still getting faint lines (though didn't test this morning). Actually have got vague lower back pain on right hand side - but don't remember this as preg related - anyone else have this???!!

theboob · 22/01/2009 09:46

morning all
twigg i have no symtoms other than feling tired,i am also getting the cramps and twinges too, well i ahve told people other than DC's and the omg jokes have already started,i had a huge paddy on facebook as someone commented on DH status that we should get info on contraceptionsome people just make me so
had all the other classics eg,football team, keeping the school in buisness but after my outburst they have calmed down, people need to realise that their comments can sometimes hurt and why should i have to justify how many children i have
sorry rant over a very me me me post
how is everybody today

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 09:52

theboob - that is SO rude (of them, not you). You are entitled to feel really annoyed.

I don't think people will be surprised when I tell them, as they know I had mc in Aug/Sept and have always wanted 4 (being one of 4 myself).

Have a good day.

rainbowdays · 22/01/2009 09:58

Theboob - rant away, at least we all know here that comments like that, are not really that amusing. I am lucky in that my family are all supportive of the idea of us having another one, and so I am safe not getting comments from them, in my mother and toddler group there are a few already with 4 chidren, so I won't be looked at strangely there either. It will just be dh's family that will start the comments, but they won't be told for ages if we do get pg.

Twigs - back pain can be early pg too. I get more back pain with af and labour and early pg, than eanything else! Apart from the tiredness that is, are you suffering from that yet?

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:16

theboob - oh poor you. i got loads of that with number 3, lots of people thinking she was an accident, did we not have a telly, etc etc. this time i will not announce in RL until i physically cannot get away with it (prob about 10 weeks, lol)

i have only just got over a weird viral thing - today is the first day in 8 days i have felt well. still managed to have sex though am cd22 today - its really dragging this month it feels.

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:17

I am one of 3 girls; so slightly bigger fmailies are not abnormal to my parents - i sort of hinted the other week that we would like another - Dad said it was great and Mum was lke oh why dear? lol. Will be no issues there - though PIL will tell DH again to tie a knot in it

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 10:19

Hello Rainbow - how're you doing?

I think I'm tired all the time, but have not noticed the drop dead weariness I remember from before yet...

Just wanted to know:

Who thinks they will be done at 4? I know it is not always possible to say for definite, but I am 100% sure we will stop at 4 - what do others think...??

MrsD - are you stopping after 5???

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:21

I will be done at 4. I have a stepson too, so that will be 5 between us. Will be sad, but will cherish every minute of the next pg.

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 10:24

Hi Scorpio - x-posts - glad you are feeling a bit better. Too right about cherishing the pregnancy, labour, birth, baby, child etc etc...

Diege · 22/01/2009 10:26

Morning! for you the boob - that's so rude and so unnecessary - You're so right - how does it affect anyone else?? Doesn't stop the comments though. My friend who is mid-20s was actually asked by her consultant if all her children had the same father when she was expecting no.4 - I mean how can people get away with such comments!
TWIG, back pain very normal as ligamants are already starting to stretch out...you are just entering the 'worry zone' .
HEINZ, grerat to hear from you - your pregnancy seems to be going so fast!!
Hello to everyone else - this is such a lovely thread .
Midwife appointment this afternoon! Quite excited/nervous as will be the first time I get to hear heartbeat

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:26

dc4 has no hope though - he/she will be my baby forever

I would really want another HB and to BF again, to make me feel 'done' as a mother, if that makes sense. will never ever moan about being pg this time

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:27

Diege - oh wow!!!! Hope it goes well!

Diege · 22/01/2009 10:29

Oh and no.4 definitely then last for me - finally feel during this pregnancy that it's my last and not a twinge of wistfulness for another after the sickness this time!

Diege · 22/01/2009 10:30

Hi SCORPIO! I'll remember that about no moaning when you have no.4 on the way

Twiglettini · 22/01/2009 10:31

How exciting, Goog luck, Diege - let us know how it goes [big thumbs up smiley]

ps. feel very at home here with all of you - thanks. Not told anyone in RL, so lovely to share these things with you all x

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:33

am big moaner in RL

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:34

it is a nice thread isnt it

mrsdisorganised · 22/01/2009 10:36

Wow busy thread this morning!! Hello all

TWIG I think if I have no 5 it will be my last due to the fact it would be another c-section.....so the choice would be taken away from me and actually I'd prefer that. Hope you're back feels better....rest lots

theboob agree that was very rude! People are obviously jealous because you know what you want We've just bought a 9 seater VW and the amount of people that are making comments about it is ridiculous....and they all think they're funny the fact is I am one of 8 children and my youngest siblings are still in school so thinking logically, they all do the same clubs etc it makes sense to have a bigger vehicle....(sorry thats my rant for the day!)

mrsdisorganised · 22/01/2009 10:37

Just read Diege ...it'll be lovely to hear it x

theboob · 22/01/2009 10:39

oh brilliant diege
i have promised DH that we will stop at 4 but.......i jus dont knowi promised after 3 ,i will still cherish every moment of this pregnancy
scorpio ,glad your feeling better and fingers crossed for you ,when will you test?
rainbow ,have you made a doctors apt? hope it all gets sorted soon

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:45

i never promised after 3 - i told him i didnt feel like this was enough - he went mad lol but then he asked me for dc4!!

rainbowdays · 22/01/2009 11:05

Me stopping at 4 - definitely. When dh and I met we talked about children and we said we wanted 4, firstly a boy named William, then a girl called Aoife, then a boy named Ronan then a girl called Catherine. We had the boy, girl, boy but did not use those names!!! so I still need my last girl!!!! It will be amusing if I end up with a boy, but would love a sister for my dd!!!! Dh was difficult to pursade to go for no.3 but now loves it, but has also been / is hard convincing him for no.4, but so far he is going along with the plan. Due to my age, I will definitely be stopping at 4 (if we get that far).

I have not made the doctors appt yet, but partly because, my new hpt's instead of saying don't look at test after 10mins, it says don't look at test after 30mins, and I got a definite faint line at 20mins today. So big question is - is it an evaporation line, like I have been getting for the last 2 weeks or is it something else. I figure I will know more in a few days, if the levels are actually rising? I feel like I am grasping at straws, but also a bit scared if I go to the doc's and she tells me this is peri-menopause.

Sorry this is a very me me me post, feeling a bit today due to hormones.

mrsdisorganised · 22/01/2009 11:11

Oh Rainbow ((((((Hugs)))))) I've been feeling all month, keep crying at every available oppertunity so know how you feel. Don't give up hope it's sounds positive....
