KatB · 09/01/2009 21:33

I would have been due in August Mrs Org As long as I'm preggers by then I'll be fine

Diege · 10/01/2009 11:08

I know it's tough when you have in mind your due date from a mc. I would have been due 12th Feb, with miscarried pregnancy in July. Being pregnant has really helped though, and although things will seem a little strange coming up to the date, for me personally it was important to at least aim to be pregnant by time of MC due date. Not that this is necessarily easy to plan!

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Nothing exciting planned here - just the usual grind of cleaning, ironing etc..!

babyblue3 · 11/01/2009 03:38

Just wanted to wish everyone a good week! I am off tomorrow morning to the airport. I am praying my flight isn't delayed as it has been snowing all day here and doesn't look like its going to stop anytime soon! I am taking a quick breather, and its off to finish packing. I have been running around all day trying to do laundry, clean the house, get everyone organized and pack. We have a 7am flight, and it is now almost 11pm. I will be up all night by the looks of it! Sigh...

Diege · 11/01/2009 11:55

Good luck getting things ready BABYBLUE and enjoy your holiday! Agree that the packing/prep is a nightmare, however much pre-planning/lists etc you do! Hopefully you'll come back refreshed and not feeling like you need a 'recovery' holiday on your own in a padded cell like I usually do .
Hope everyone else is well and enjoying the weekend

Hello, can I join? Am ttc after mc in Aug at 11 + 5 weeks. Conceived 1st or 2nd month with first 3 dc and 2 mc, but has been 4 months now, which I know is not long in real terms, but feels long to me.

Glad I'm not the only 40yo, Rainbowdays.

Have only just found mumsnet yesterday and have posted on a couple of threads, but this seems like a very nice friendly place to hang around... is that ok to join you???

Twiglettini · 11/01/2009 17:00

ps forgot to mention am a complete POAS addict. Some cheapy ones arrived yesterday and am treating myself this month by having a go every morning!! - so disappointing coming up BFN, but I can't stop myself

Congratulations to all the pregnant lovelies - hope we all join you soon x

KatB · 11/01/2009 17:10

Hi twig

I'm pretty new and am enjoying having somewhere to rant and show my obsessive TTC side. If anyone in RL saw it they'd think I was crazy (I probably am slightly).

POAS wise, I have a load of ebay cheapies and have tested twice - DUH was only CD20 and CD22. Obv BFN!! I'm stopping now, no testing til Thursday at least! (AF due Friday)
Hope you get your BFP soon.

Twiglettini · 11/01/2009 18:27

Hi Kat, I'm impressed at your restraint! What is DUH??
Good luck with the BFP too!

rainbowdays · 11/01/2009 19:27

hi and welcome twigs, good to have someone else upping the average age of us mad ttc'ers!!!!

I am still getting BFN's, but no sign of AF yet so, just waiting, my cycles are irratic, so too soon to get too excited yet, but I am past the average length of my cycles, so just have to be patient for the next few days. If AF arrives this week I will be consoling myself by buying more ebay cheapy tests, and might even try out some opk's for a change!, last time I bought them and then found out I was pregnant before I got to use them!

Hope you had a safe trip baby blue.

scorpio1 · 11/01/2009 19:34

rainbow - are you BF still? We are as well, though just morning and night now (and also ) Good luck for you!

Twiglettini · 11/01/2009 19:54

Am a bit annoyed as I bought some 25mIU/ml tests, then saw some cheaper 10mIU/ml ones, which are obviously more sensitive, which is my excuse for POAS every morning so that I use up the 25s and can buy the superior 10s! Does that make sense?

Also have never used OPKs, when are you meant to use them, how accurate are they? I naively thought that you were meant to BD before ovulation, so once the OPK revealed you'd ovulated - it was all too late (obviously quite embarrassed that I can get to 40 with 3 children and not have this straight) but can see myself enjoying getting obsessive with more sticks and wee (sorry - that sounds a bit dodgy doesn't it...)

Anyway, am keeping my fingers crossed for you Rainbowdays - are you POAS every day?

mrsdisorganised · 11/01/2009 20:24

Lol Twig, welcome by the way! Well I have 4 dc's and know nothing about OPK's etc so you're not alone....

Hope everyone is ok and has had a good weekend

rainbowdays · 11/01/2009 20:46

Scorpio - yep still BFing, but several times a day, can't help but shove the boob in his mouth when he asks for it . I got pg while BF-ing before, so no reason for it not to happen again is the way I feel about it.

OPK's - they show a positive approx 2 days before OV, so as soon as you get a positive opk you are supposed to go from every other day to everyday of getting jiggy with your dh/dp at that point. APPARENTLY! (how we could possibly get that much sex in with 3 other children around I don't know

And YES I am POAS everyday

opps I seem to be in a very mood tonight.... we will see what happens tomorrow

Twiglettini · 11/01/2009 21:31

Hello Rainbowdays and Mrsdisorganised, am embarrassed enough to admit that I have half an eye on Celeb Big Brother as I type ooh how exciting first time I've used a little face person!

Kudos to you MrsD for going for 5!!
Thanks for the OPK info, Rainbow. Do you have any recommendation for where to buy cheapy OPK sticks. Also v glad to hear you are POAS daily too (I'm not the only obsessed loon here!!! ) hurrah second little smiley face person

mrsdisorganised · 11/01/2009 22:31

lol at smiley face causing such delight!!! (I was the same, sshh don't tell anyone!).

rainbowdays · 12/01/2009 11:09

Twigs - for my cheap internet sensitive tests I used :this company, and I will be using them to order more and opks this month if I don't get my bfp this week.

Update for today, BFN but still no af yet. But my af is occasionally later, so won't get thinking anything until the weekend. Last month I am convinced I had a chemical pregnancy, and I think this lead to me ov-ing late this month. I got a dot of colour on the pg test this morning in the right place at ten mins, so not really within the right timeframe. I will just have to be patient.

theboob · 12/01/2009 12:21

keeping my fingers crossed for you Rainbowdays

well I looked at my chart and I am now in the 2WW ,have loads of tests in and really want to test lol

baby dust to you all

Twiglettini · 12/01/2009 13:21

Thanks for the link, Rainbowdays. Am trying not to be too obsessed (who am I kidding - I am completely obsessed), so am thinking I'd not do OPK and stick with EWCM as a guide for now - (ask me afterr AF arrives and it might be a different story.)

I thought 10 minutes was ok for a test result, it was after 10 minutes that it was potentially not accurate??

Question: is a chemical pregnancy when you are very early days preg and test before period is due, then lose it so that it seems like a normal period? sorry to show my ignorance.

Theboob - Good luck with the 2WW. When is your AF due?

(had a couple of moments of slight nausea this morning and reading FAR FAR TOO much into it)
