Hi all, having a better day today, fingers crossed long may it last!

rainbowdays sorry to hear about your row with DH, we're the same, we hardly ever argue and I hate it when we occasionally do. Hope it won't be long before you're kissing and making up

Nemoandthefishes · 05/01/2009 22:41

congrates duchesse

heinz agree with scorpio am another who suffered horrendous pnd with ds and was under psychatrist had a cpn and social worker visit weekly tried to kill myself and self harmed. Since than had both dds and both times I had medication ready for as soon as they were born. I came off meds this time to ttc and will have some ready for when this baby is born. Try and pull in whatever support you can get.

Hope everyone else is ok..well I just made this pregnancy very real as I have bought a pram from ebay. DD2 was 2 today so think her seeming 'old' [i know in real life she isnt but to me she is as this will be my biggest gap yet] spurred me into action..lol

babyblue3 · 06/01/2009 16:45

Hello all. Wow... things got busy in the few days I was away. My DC are all suffering from a stomach bug, so it has been busy around here. I have been sick myself, but am still on duty! LOL... We are leaving for a one week vacation on Sunday, and after all the mess I have been cleaning this week, it will be well deserved! I just hope everyone is past their ailments by then.

rainbow I know what you are going through with DH. We had a big fight this morning too. Must be something in the air! He stormed out to work without saying goodbye. I was so angry! I am sick and still have to be taking care of sick kids and running a household... and all I asked of him was to get the baby ready for daycare and to pick up some groceries this morning so I have something to make for dinner... and he began to grumble! But when he is sick... he is the biggest baby and needs to be pampered! Anyway... sorry for the rant. Hopefully you and DH work things out soon. If mine tries to give me the silent treatment tonight, he will get an earfull!

heinz sorry to hear about all the issues you have with PND. I can't say I understand, since I have been lucky enough not to have it. But I am a good listener if you need to talk. As for the Bfing.. I was only successful with DC3. I tried hard with the first 2, but never quite got it. With DD2 I was stubborn and determined! Hopefully I can have repeated success with #4!

diege thanks for the laugh! the whole 'feast or famine' things describes me and Dh to a T! LOL... unfortunately for him, he is also in the middle of a terrible famine! Haha... but he can't say I didn't warn him! I told him to enjoy the feast of babymaking while it lasted! LOL... How was your first day back to work, by the way? They don't know you are pg, right?

duchess welcome and congratulations!

How is everyone else? I have less than a week to go before I hit my 12 week milestone! Woo Hoo! Then I can relax just that little bit more.

theboob · 06/01/2009 17:02

hello all

i had a bit of a wobble today at college.....am i doing the right thing or not??? I know its what we both really want I must be just having one of those days, think it is because i have just got my figure perfect since DS2 was born and babysitters etc,the thought of sitting all my exams with a big bump made me wobble too lol

well i think I'm OV now so will carry on with the BD for the next few days

who is the next to test ?
hope all that have tiny bumps are feeling well and all that are still waiting get there BFP's this month

xxxx boobie

rainbowdays · 06/01/2009 23:00

Evening all, well finally the cold war has ended in this house. Only because I went and bought a safety gate room divider then had to actually talk with dh to get it put in the right place , well we had a long talk and resolved a few issues. But one thing that did come out was that dh has re-thought having dc4 again. He had on-off times when we were trying for dc3, but now would not think twice about it being a good decision. However this time things have obviously been different. He actually suggested going for the snip, previously he would never even talk about it let alone suggest that it could actually happen. So I am not sure whether this time it is different and that he really does not want dc4, or wether it was just a reaction to our arguing . is point is that more children leads to less time for us. So I am not sure where we stand at the moment on the dc4 thing? But since I am currently in the 2ww anyway, willl just have to wait and see what happens!!!

babyblue - wow only a week til 12week mark, that seems to have gone fast!

boob - not sure who is next to test, but I am due af next weekend.

Diege · 07/01/2009 12:20

Hello! Glad things seem to be thawing RAINBOW, though can understand how stressful dh's apparent change of heart might be...I'd say it may well be an (over)reaction to the row, and have a feeling if you leave him to stew for a bit he'll have a rethink. I can;t see that one more (or not) would drastically alter the amount of time you have for both of you, but might be worth taking the 'softly softly approach' for now. You know what men are like .
BOOB, I think wobbles are normal, esp when in fertile time of month. Good luck with the BD! Oh and btw I'm a lecturer and we always have at least 2 or 3 students with bumps taking their exams every year - they always do really well too; think because they are superorganised and motivated to do well!
BABYBLUE, hope the sickness bug has not taken hold! It is so tough being ill and having poorly LOs too. I think it's probably the hardest bit of parenting - you must be shattered
Work was great thanks, though a bit of a nightmare with the commute (trains in a mess). My train timetable has also changed so that I now have a 4 hour 20 mins round trip commute to/back from work. I don't usually mind it, as I get to relax etc on the train, but think I may have to bring mat leave forward as can't imagine doing it for too long when heavily pregnant. My secret is out at work too - the bump was very obvious yesterday, and know that I can rely on the gossips spreading the word for me
Hope everyone is well

theboob · 07/01/2009 15:09

thanks deige, think it is just my hormones,i have worked very hard to get to where i am in college and think it just prayed on my mind a little,i will defere university for a year to have a baby ,i have my interview in feb but all is looking good, spoke to my personal tutor(who also happens to be my best friend)about help reg exams she has assured me i can have breaks and extra time ,and even a room of my own to sit in
she is the only person that knows we are ttc too.
hope you are all well ,and yes can imagine at any college the jungle drums will be in full flow about your bump now

mrsdisorganised · 08/01/2009 10:13

Hello all!

theboob I know where you're coming from on the 'am I doing the right thing'...usually I think that when I've had a really bad day and I think 'could I cope with being pregnant too', but really it's just nerves and people can cope with alot more than they realise My DH and I were inseparable from the age of 15 and when he had to start going away to work I never though I could cope....here I am 3 years on and it's ok, I'd rather he was home though
Rainbow hope everything is back on track for you
Babyblue hope your household is becoming a 'sick free' zone...try and get some one to give you an hours peace.

No news here....Dh should be home friday night so will have to make the most of him, feel a bit under pressure as our 'time limit' is end of January, been trying since september...seems to be impossible as he is away however 'what will be will be'.
Hope everyone has a good day.x

babyblue3 · 08/01/2009 17:34

Well, it was back to work to for me today after 8 days of sicktime. The kids seem to be over the worst of it. I was in terrible shape the last 3 days. The stomach bug we had was just awful! I think I lost at least half a stone in the last week. I have no appetite and can't keep any fluids down. I am sooo thirsty, but not even a cup of tea will saty down. Sigh... we are leaving for our trip on Sunday, so hopefully I will be in better shape then. Not to mention that I have gotten nothing done for the trip this week... no packing, little washing... its gonna be chaos here come Saturday!

MrsD - hopefully things go well with you this month. Will you stop TTC after January? Is that what you meant by a time limit?

Diege - funny how fast the baby bump rumours fly!! I still get the odd (negative) comment from relatives just finding out.

Rainbow - glad to hear the white flag has gone up in your house. My DH came home that evening to find me pale and vomiting in a pail next to my bed. LOL... that was enough to break the ice! Hopefully your DH is just getting a case of cold feet and will be ok with #4 once again. Don't come on too strong... you have to make it seem like it is HIS idea to have more!! LOL... everything will work out in the end. If he changed his mind once, he will do it again. Thats how my DH was. He initially suggested a fourth just after #3 was born. At that point, I was not thinking of more, and told him to ask me again in a few months. So when I started feeling broody (DD2 was 6 months), then he was no longer interested and NEEDED CONVINCING! Here I am... 3 months pg!

Boobie - I think we all go through the second guessing and second thoughts thing... whether we are TTC or already pg. Call it hormones or just fear of the unknown... we get over it quick though. Women are good and stubborn and we tend to stick to our guns.

Guess its back to work for me! Half day today and half day tomorrow... then sipping virgin pina coladas on the beach! Yippee!

rainbowdays · 08/01/2009 22:32

babyblue - hope you feel better for work and then get to really enjoy your holiday.

Things seem to be returning to normal here,. Dh even working out when the baby would be due and what the age gap between dc's 3 and 4 would be, if I were pregnant now!!!! Reminded him that I will not know for a couple more days yet, and that I don't feel positive this time.

Last day of the first week back at school tomorrow, yippy¬¬¬¬

KatB · 09/01/2009 01:27

Hello I'm Katie, 29 and I'm a baby addict and POAS addict [Blush]

Just read through this whole thread and you guys made me laugh out loud! I have 3 children DS is 12 DD1 10 and DD2 5. I fell preg accidentally in December but mc a week later. DH and I were just getting used to the idea so here I am actively ttc #4!

Decided not to wait for a normal AF with the mc being so early and am currently on CD21 resisting the urge to PO the ebay cheapies I have upstairs as I KNOW it's too early!
Got quite a few BD in over Christmas but I know it could take a while although all my pregnancies have been happy accidents so I must be/have been pretty fertile.

Thinking this 2ww is a pain in the bum. I'm in my final year at uni so have a million essays to do but can't stay off pushchair/baby name websites and symptom spotting (one sore boob and twinges)

xxxx

rainbowdays · 09/01/2009 10:16

Argg just lost what I typed

rainbowdays · 09/01/2009 10:16

Argg just lost what I typed

rainbowdays · 09/01/2009 10:19

OK so now it wanted to double post!!!!

KatB - hi and welcome, good to have another POAS addict here! I am currently on cd25 of a cd26/27 cycle average, and POAS this morning, could not resist temptation, and got an evaporation line for my sins!!!! . Anyway, what are you studying at Uni?

CARROT SECRETARY - should we have an update on who's here?

HeinzSight · 09/01/2009 12:37

I was JUST thinking that rainbowdays!!

KatB, your eldest 2 are pretty much the same age as mine, DS1(12), DS2(nearly 10)

Shall I start?

Heinzsight 33, DS1(12), DS2(9), DD(16 months), DC4 due 14th August

KatB · 09/01/2009 13:05

Hiya Heinz and Rainbow
I'm studying biomedical science at uni, currently writing two essays one on cancer genetics and one on polycystic ovaries lol. I love it but it's hard work and I'm flagging now after 4 years. Still got another week until lectures start so I'm being a lazy bum and ignoring the state of my house

I keep thinking I must be mental wanting another one. My kids are lovely ages and all at school now. I started having kids when I was 16 and I always consoled myself with the fact that when my friends were dealing with dirty nappies I'd be out partying with mine But... can't help the broodyness and tbh I can't wait

xxx

Babyblue, 36, DD1 10, DS 9, DD2 14 months, DC4 due July 26

Very interesting studies Kat. I would have loved to have gotten into something like that in University, but my math skills are lousy! LOL... I ended up doing my degree in Psychology instead. If I had the choice, I would go back and do Forensic Sciences.Sorry to hear about your mc. I also had one in October, but was able to fall pg right after. Although my DH likes to take the credit for his great prowess... I just think I am extremely fertile!

Well... I will be off to my first real doctors appointment (where she does more than fill out forms) shortly. I am not looking forward to being poked and prodded... but hopefully will get a chance to listen to my little beans' heartbeat. If its still too early... my 12 week scan is just over a week away.

rainbowdays · 09/01/2009 14:32

Sorry rearranging the list, what does that say about me (perhaps I am just giving myself something to do to stop myself POAS . Have put the ttc'ers in alphabetical order since I don't know af due dates for us all.

ttc#4:
KatB, 29, DS 12, DD1 10 and DD2 5, ttc #4
Rainbowdays, 40, DS1 5, DD 4, DS2 9months (still breastfeeding too!)

Heinzsight 33, DS1(12), DS2(9), DD(16 months), DC4 due 14th August

I am amazed at how many of us are here on this thread, 4 must be the new 2 as they say!!!

KatB · 09/01/2009 15:57

Hell yeah darlinks - 4 is sooooo the new 2 ;)
I put my AF due date on the list
I love that I'm not the only mad woman ttc number 4. Everyone thinks I'm mad honestly but I just love my children and making babies and seeing what they turn out like, does that sound crazy? Even the doctor asked why I was wanting to get pregnant when I was just getting my degree/career sorted! I guess it's because I live in a small place and they all knew me when I was a terrified pregnant 15/16 year old....

Babyblue I did study psychology at A (advanced) level and I loved it but remembering all thos names and dates of the studies drove me crazy! I loved it though and found it fascinating, I did consider studying it at uni too but science won out (and my Maths is not great either but I manage)!

ttc#4:
KatB, 29, DS 12, DD1 10 and DD2 5, AF due 16/01/09
Rainbowdays, 40, DS1 5, DD 4, DS2 9months (still breastfeeding too!)

mrsdisorganised · 09/01/2009 16:58

Good luck to all!

babyblue3 · 09/01/2009 17:15

I love that this list is getting so long! So far it looks as though the carrots and TTCers are almost balanced! That looks like pretty good odds if you ask me .

Anyway... just got to work after my doc appointment and I am soooo happy I just had to post a second time. Got to hear my little beans heartbeat!! It was nice and strong and the best sound in the world! Im surprised I wasn't gushing the whole time! LOL.. It made my day... week... you get the idea

Now I just have to make it through 4 hours of work and then off to start packing. I am a little nervous about a 5 hour flight with a 14 month old... but if I can handle 3 sick kids, morning sickness and a house full of dirty laundry... should be a piece of cake, right???

KatB · 09/01/2009 18:18

Babyblue, I did a 10 hour flight with an 18 month old - have to say it was hell but we made it and had a lovely holiday Saying that my dd2 was lovely but not the best at sitting still or falling asleep and plenty of other little ones the same age were great on the flight

You will be great, we're super women remember
