Hi, ladies.

And a big HELLO to the new members .

Hoping you are all ok. Diege, By some strange coincidence, I am also in York this weekend! Going tomorrow and staying over night, kid-free . Tho' more likely to be on the mulled wine than a Fat Rascal. Hope you all have a lovely time!

Poor you Tilly. I haven't been on here for a few days, so just caught up with your news. Hope you are ok, and making the most of those extra fertile days .

No developments from my end, DH seems to have gone a bit cold on the whole idea of the reversal. Waiting till after xmas now to have another think .

Take care everyone, and have a good weekend .

rainbowdays · 11/12/2008 13:05

rudiege - glad the scan went well, will you be finding out the sex before or will you be waiting til delivery day? Since you asked: I am just changing time of travel rather than location, but entering the England for christmas!

Having had boy then girl, I think that I went for #3 to stop the comments of "a gentlemans family", I had not heard the phrase before having dc2, but afterwards it was all the time. Now instead of people thinking I am having more children to produce one of a different gender, I am just looked at as pure crazy "but you have one of each so why do you want any more"!!! So I guess it is just having more than 2.4 children that gets people commenting!

Just to let you all know I am feeling a shade of orange today!!!!

HeinzSight · 11/12/2008 13:07

I got a BFP last week for No.4 but am struggling to get my head round it. Can you lovely ladies tell me why it's going to be great having 4.

I have two older boys, 12 and 9 and a DD 15 months.

rainbowdays · 11/12/2008 13:21

Heinzsight - congratulations, but I can understand the struggling to get your head around it. Just think how great it will be for your dd to have a playmate, someone her own age. Also it will mean she won't be treated like the baby of the family as with two older brothers she could be. Your going to be really enjoying having the new little one around when he or she arrives. The other preggo ladies will be encouraging here too.

HeinzSight · 11/12/2008 13:36

thank you SOO much rainbowdays, need more messages like yours, very helpful. My head's in crisis mode at the moment.

I have started some other threads about this. I had PND after all DC, worse after last. Compounded last time by the fact my DH suffered a paralysed arm 2 yrs ago , so he's unable to give the support he was previosuly able to.

Am v v v v v scared.

rainbowdays · 11/12/2008 16:19

Heinz - PND is very hard, but at least this time you know that you are likely to suffer from it and forwarned is forarmed, you can try to put things in place to deal with it. Did you have medication for the PND each time? If so can you organise to start the medication before the symptoms get too bad etc. It must be hard for your dh not being able to give the support that he used to. Pregnancy is always a scarey time for me, I might want to get pg, but I know that when I am, emotionally I feel like "what have I done", with your other issues it must be even harder to be thinking about. Just know that you will get through this, it will be ok. And now you have found us mad lot here I hope that you will stick around to let us support you too.

HeinzSight · 11/12/2008 16:40

Am SO doing the 'what have I done' thing!!!

Blimmin pregnancy hormones, am feeling bit tearful but need to hold it together. DS1 is in the lounge with DD looking after her while I grab a minute to log on.

AM SO GLAD I've found you all and yes I'd love to stick around if that's OK, thank you x

mrsdisorganised · 11/12/2008 19:01

Hi everyone! Thanks for the welcomes

Congratulations HeinzSight, I think it's normal to do the 'what have I done' thing, so don't worry. Four is great, hard work , but fun especially if you have older ones, my DD4 is 3 years younger than DD3 and they all spoil her rotten!
I had PND after DD3, and was in complete denial about it, only recently I've really looked back and realised it was to blame for alot!! On the upside I only have had it once out of 4 pregnancies so try to be positive, you'll get lots of support from everyone here too
Diege I have four DDs and have comments all the time 'got to try for a boy now!' People even said 'Oh dear it's another girl' when DD4 was born drives me mad!!!

babyblue3 · 12/12/2008 01:56

Welcome Newbies

Heinz - I am currently 8 weeks preg with number four and have had many moments where I have thought "What in Gods name have I done" LOL.. those moments pass when I look at my other kids and see how much they bring to my life. My DC are similar in age as yours.. DD1 is 10, DS1 is 9 and DD2 is 14 months. I think the comments from others about being crazy make me angry. I have even had people brazen enough to ask if #4 was planned! Whatever!

Ruby - you brought DH over to the darkside once.. you can do it again

Looking forward to spending the weekend in the kitchen doing my Christmas baking... NO KIDS!!! I'm not sure if I can handle time alone in a quiet house....LOL... its been soooo long! Whatever will I do! (maybe skip the baking and have a bubble bath... too bad no wine!)

rainbowdays · 12/12/2008 08:51

babyblue - you get time with no kids, while my dh has gone away today and will be at his works christmas do tonight so I will be alone with my 3 tomorrow, so ++++ noise here tomorrow. I might be keen and enthusiastic and do making paper chains with them to hang up in their rooms as christmas decorations??? Depends on how good they are being and how much sleep baby Jak lets me have!

well I am definitely getting more orange coloured - but evaporation lines only!!!!!

HeinzSight · 12/12/2008 19:48

I;ve just had a read through the thread, am I a carrot then

Had a more positive day, the idea is starting to sink in a bit!

rainbowdays · 12/12/2008 21:21

Heinz - yep you are a carrot!!!! Good to hear that the idea is starting to sink in a bit. With my last pregnancy I could bearly believe it til over half way through!!!

I am going insain and keep telling myself not to do another test tomorrow morning, but I am sure that I will buckle and test again tomorrow. Still, I will drive myself crazy whether or not I test!!!

I have just waded through a huge pile of ironing, but now going to call it a night, and try to get some sleep before baby Jak starts with his nighttime wake up routine!

HeinzSight · 13/12/2008 17:28

@ being a carrot

I've always wanted to be a carrot

good luck rainbowdays, it's just soooooooooooooooo tempting to test isn't it!!

rainbowdays · 14/12/2008 10:17

Arrggg, Well looks like another month is about to close with af arriving. I was up dealing with a puking daughter who had eaten something she shouldn't, then my ds1 woke up with raging fever, and due to neither calpol, ibrufen or cold sponging getting his temperature down, ended up taking him to doc and he is now on antibiotics like ds2. I hate giving them antibiotics, but at least they are not complaining about it. As for me looks like I have a stomach bug..... arrrggggg. So much for my keen day of doing loads with the kiddies, we all slouched around like limp lettuces yesterday.

Still my parents arrive tomorrow, I haven't seen my dad for nearly two years, so I am really excited about it, and although my mum was here when baby Jak was born, I miss having her around all the time. I have been counting down the days til they arrive with the children so they are equally as excited. In fact tomorrow will be more like christmas than anything else!!!!

mrsdisorganised · 14/12/2008 10:31

Rainbowdays I really feel for you, it's horrendous when one goes down one after the other, is DH at home to give a hand and make you lots of tea? And 'mummies aren't supposed to get ill!' my children tell me Sorry about af coming but there's always next month, I don't know about you but I get so impatient...DH has been away and I think I ov tomorrow he's not due home until thurs/fri so I'll probably be joining you! Hope you have a better night tonight and enjoy your parents
Hello to everyone else hope you're having a good weekend!

rainbowdays · 14/12/2008 10:58

whoops looked like I implied that af had arrived, it hasn't I just feel like there is no chance of my being pg with the stomach bug etc. - My dh is home now and not happy at me being miserable!!!!

MrsD - how are you this weekend?

mrsdisorganised · 14/12/2008 12:08

ooooohhh still hope excellenT I have a busy house my kids two of my little sisters and brother! Lucky for DH he's stll away! Mad house
Funny how it's the end of the world for men when they're ill! Well hugs from me and hope you feel better soon.x

rainbowdays · 14/12/2008 18:04

MrsD - thank you for the hugs! Also heres wishing you delayed ov for when your dh returns !!! not often we wish for delayed ov [humm]

KatieDD · 14/12/2008 21:35

Heinzsite, I think you've done a great thing, the biggest fear for me is if I have number 4 then really I ought to have number 5 too because otherwise the poor wee thing will have 6, 8 and 10 years between it and it's siblings, doesn't seem fair really to be stuck with just DH and I to play with.

babyblue3 · 15/12/2008 04:21

Hello Ladies... hope you all had a nice weekend.

Rainbow - still keeping fingers crossed that AF doesn't find you. I had a really bad stomach bug with both DS1 and DD2 at the same time I found out I was pg with them. The bug masked the morning sickness and the fatigue, so finding out I was pg was a pleasant surprise.

Katie - what you were saying about having #5 is precisely why we decided to go for #4. The older 2 are 9 and 10, and DD2 will be 14 months in a few days. We didn't want her to feel like an only child... even though the older two spoil her rotten with attention.

What a tiring weekend. This morning sickness is becoming more and more tedious. I am soooo ready to pass the baton... any takers?? I feel hungry, but nothing appeals to me. I am dying of thirst, but every sip of anything I try turns my stomach. I was actually able to do all my Christmas baking without sampling a thing! Imagine that! LOL

Heinz - I believe you are carrot #3?? Welcome to the bunch Diege is furthest along at 12 weeks... I am 8 weeks along... how far are you?

HeinzSight · 15/12/2008 12:25

babyblue, I'm 5 +3, still can't believe I'm typing that, feels v surreal! Sorry the sickness has hit you. I've been mostly OK so far, touch wood.

KatieDD, thank you, again, that's just the sort of thing I need to hear. I've been talking myself round A LOT this past week, and the main thing is this will be a good thing for DD, she'll have company when the boys are off doing their own thing.

rainbowdays, keeping fingers crossed for you. Sorry you've been ill. It's not fair when us Mum's get sick, we have to carry on

SquidgyBrain · 16/12/2008 12:24

Hi everyone

just came on to wish you all well, I hope that you all go onto being carrots. I have decided to get off the ttc rollercoaster - with the fertility issues a number 4 was always a long shot, we have decided to apply to foster so will be putting all my energy into that - not say never about a forth child, as you just never know what will happen.

GOOD LUCK ladies xx

babyblue3 · 17/12/2008 02:59

Squidgy - Best of luck in your new endeavours... Hope you and your family have a wonderful Holiday Season filled with many, many blessings

So I had my first prenatal appointment today. I booked my 12 week scan for January 20. The time should go by quick since we have the holidays to get through first. And my family and I are going on a family vacation to Aruba the week before the scan. I am all nervous and excited!

The temperature here has been going up and down so I have had a horrendous headache the past 3 days... ugh! We are expecting a tonne of snow this week too, which I am not looking forward to driving in. I really dislike winter! The only good thing, is I am not too pregnant that I have to worry about losing my balance and falling.

mrsdisorganised · 17/12/2008 11:33

Hello girls!
Well DH still isn't home and opk sticks are showing double lines so I think this month is out! He should be home tonight or thurs but I don't know what the chances of becoming pg at this stage are!! Any advice? (You'd think I'd know by now!)
Rainbowdays Any news?? Hope you're feeling better it's tough being ill with kids!
Heinzsight I know where you're coming from at the moment, I've been up and down desparate for another for DD4 (and me!) then thinking of the 9 months...but still really wanting it! Confusing, I think the novelty of being pregnant has gone for me...but want the end result badly!!! Oh well DH better hurry home!

Just read this through and as usual I seem to be going in circles! Sorry!
Babydust to all!!!

SquidgyBrain · 17/12/2008 19:48

mrsdisorgansied - don't rule this month out - a possitive ovulation test is indicative that ovulation will happen in the next 48 hours.......so make sure you wait up for mrd

good luck
