Ah fabulous new Thread Ei
Shall I sort out the chart list?

Sparkly

Ei

Fruity's preg chart

Mibbes' preg chart

Yarnie's preg chart

Hmmm, we need some more charts. I've not included Jollybear as she seems to have disappeared.
Piper could you add your chart? I tried to bring it over but it wasn't working

Sparkly08 · 24/07/2008 19:30

Hi all,
Just a quick one from me. We've been out all day at Longleat. Had a fab time with DP and DD and stopped at the chippy on the way home...(sorry Mollie).
FF confirmed ovulation for me so I'm on the countdown.
Hope you're all having a great evening.

Ooh so exciting Sparkly
Georgie do you have a chart we can nose at?

Sparkly08 · 24/07/2008 20:24

Just got DD to bed. Forgot to say thanks to ei for opening this fab new room.

FruitynNutty · 24/07/2008 20:30

I'm bored, someone please talk to me, I've got a big glass of milk and some (I won't divulge how many ) digestive biscuits

FruitynNutty · 24/07/2008 20:31

SPARKLY [GRIN][GRIN] You're here!

FruitynNutty · 24/07/2008 20:31

whoopsie, caps lock

LobstersLass · 24/07/2008 22:18

Hello all!

Sorry I've not been around. I've taken a few days off work and am sleeping lots. Highly recommended.

Emmsy call 105/65 low blood pressure?! Mine is 97/53. You're an amateur love!
Mine's always been low too. Never had any lightheadedness or anything like that.

kate tea at the Ritz sounds fab. You lucky thing. We went to the Athaneum on Piccadilly a few years ago. It was lush.

I'm shattered again. Off to bed. I'll catch up properly soon. xx

Yarnie · 25/07/2008 07:27

Hi everyone! Sorry for my absence.

I've been overwhelmed with stuff to do, mainly producing drawings for our planning application and a costing for my interior job. I've broken the back of it now, so 'hello!' .

Scully I lived in Farnham from 1978 until I left university in 2000, but my family still live there so I go back all the time. How did you find your two/three years there?

Hope you're BDing lots!

Emmsy Sorry you're feeling a bit ropey. I hope what the MW prescribed has done you good.

Kate I can't believe you had to wait 3 and a half hours for a smear test. That's unbelieveable! I hope you made a fuss. I could have worked out how to do it myself in that time(!)

Hi TeeHee. I'll take some of that turkish delight - I love it! The cheaper and more fake, the better!

Sparkly I too am very impressed that you make your own sushi. DF is a sushi fiend and would love it if I made it for him, but it looks so complicated. I also don't eat fish myself, so I'd have no idea whether what I was making was any good.

Fruity I'm a bit like you at the moment, eating lots of nice things and plenty of it, in case I get MS and food loses it's...allure .

HTGG Hope your symptoms point to the obvious

Ei I'm glad your referral has gone off and hope you get something useful out of it.

Mollie Really hope you're feeling a bit better today.

No news from me. Still not much in the way of symptoms, except sore (.)(.)

teeheelaydee · 25/07/2008 08:28

Morning all - looks like it's gonna be another sunny one

Yarnie - Planning application, sounds exciting.

I had a peek at the charts last night and am totally confused, never really got into temping as kept getting pg and then losing it !

One of you lovely ladies may need to explain it to me seeing as I am gearing up to no longer be a ttc waster! For the first time in over a year I haven't even known where in my cycle I am - it feels weird. However I did make a note this month so I'm back on the treadmill. (Sparkly- speaking of which- it's Friday)

I may venture to FF this weekend, although it looks as if it may melt my brain.

Anyway I MUST go to work - I've got through the first week - Yey!

Emmsy1 · 25/07/2008 08:40

Yarnie good to hear from you, was starting to get a little worriedxx
I feel a bit hazy today, but still much better that Wednesday. I have my pregaday, but think that it takes quite along time for the iron levels to get back up,(if that's what been wrong in the first place)It may just be because my BP is low, it was 100/60 when I was 10+ weeks and yesterday it was 105/65 & now I am 27 weeks +1 so heart is having to pump alot more blood around my body apparently blood volume increases by approx 50% when pregnant.
Hope every one else is ok, and finding a little time to enjoy this lovely warm weather
P.S Sorry if I double post as starting to get confused about what I have posted as on a few different threads (my dry eyes dont allow me to read too much!) and mushy brain finds it hard to take things in X

Emmsy1 · 25/07/2008 09:00

THLD it's quite easy, you just need to invest in a digital thermometer, preferbly a 'baby mad' one (very lucky for me!) You take your temp every morning at roughly the same time, before sex, tea, wee, getting out of bed etc... that your basal body temp! You record your temps on a chart or/and FF if you wish, I did my own charts as used to analyze them constantly. After recording your temps for a few months you will should notice a pattern. Pre ov temps are lower than Post ov temps, you will be able to determine your LP luteal phase (how long yours is!) Thats the exact days from 'O' until the 'day before' your next period. Combined with checking your cervical mucus(and cervical position if you want) and using OPK's (Ovulation Prediction Kits) You should start to recognise your 'fertile period' and then be able to assess the best few days per month to get your BFP. Fertility Friend will work out your LP and confirm when you have 'O' but it's best to combine the other methods that I have mentioned to give you as much chance as possible, hope this helps a little xx

Sparkly08 · 25/07/2008 09:13

Morning all.
Weather here is awful. It's been raining all morning and it's very dark. I hope it brightens up this pm.
Yarnie Glad to see you back. You sound like you've been busy.
LL Thanks for popping in. Great that you're taking time out to rest. Look after yourself.
Tee Not sure I can face the gym today yawn although might have to go if the weather stays like this!! FF takes a bit of getting used to but it's very user friendly. Temping is quite simple. You need one of these which you place in the same position at the same time every morning. You then enter the temp into FF and we can all nose at your chart .
Emmsy Glad you are feeling better today. Make sure you get lots of rest over the weekend. xx

LOL Emmsy is so much better at this explaining than me. I meant to talk about CM and OPKs too and forgot...is it too early for symptom spotting .

FruitynNutty · 25/07/2008 09:21

Morning. I need some help from you lot;
I've got a surprise 60th birthday party to go to tonight. What do you buy a 60 year old glasweigen (sp?) man? I'm on a very tight budget. Maybe £20.

I wasn't gonna buy anything, just a card but can't really turn up empty handed. It's my friend's Dad who I've known since I was about 4.

MollieMooma · 25/07/2008 09:55

Morning girls,
Fruity Whiskey?? Really posh bottle of wine Or is that a bit cliche?
Yarnie Really pleased to see you back, had us all al bit worried.
EI Thanks for the lovely new thread x
Emmsy Glad your feeling a little better
Sparkly Feel really excited about your 2WW has EI had any predictive dreams about you yet?
Scully Really hope you get luck this time after all your waiting

Enjoying my day off work today, going to be incredibly lazy all day

Waving like mad at CriCri Mibbes Georgie & Kate Piper Not heard from you in a while. You OK?

Sparkly08 · 25/07/2008 14:15

Fruity I was going to suggest the same as mollie. Have you bought anything yet? I wouldn't worry too much about getting a pressie.
Mollie I don't think she has ... yet!! How is the MS today?

I've just been out for lunch with DP. We went for a yummy japanese. My friend brought her 4 week old DS over this morning for a cuppa and I cuddled him for ages. He slept the whole time too .

Emmsy1 · 25/07/2008 14:47

Sorry if this next post makes you all sick, but as you are my friends I just must share it with you! Yesterday lunch time went to put some rubbish in the bin, and found a pile of 'MAGGOTS' crawling all over the inside lid of the wheelie bin, pretty disgusting eh! Thought I had killed them all with bleach but a fresh pile were there this morning My fortnightly bin collection is due on Tuesday, so it looks as though I have another 4 days of killing maggots to look forward to. Our bin also gets washed once a fortnight (on Tuesday) so hopefully all will be ok after this, we have never had any maggots before, anyone else had any and killed them without using bottles & bottles of bleach??

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 25/07/2008 15:13

Phew, thought I'd lost you guys for a minute there.

Sorry, this is indulgent post. Just trying to do last min packing before we depart to Turkey tom.

hAD to come on and say BYYYEEEEEEEE. Will of course be back in 2 weeks. So really only adieu .

Ladies, just wanted to say thanks so much for just being so blardy wonderful. Top group of lasses. Will miss you all loads.

No chart for me. But if nothing happening in a feew months can someone give me a crash course in charting please!

Keep your fingers crossed. Will be testing on 3rd Aug. And will hi-jack DH's crackberry and try and send message if it's good news. If not, then just means more cocktails Ha ha!

Right, must dash. Love to you all. Will be bringing back treats from Turkey for you all.

XXXXXXX

FruitynNutty · 25/07/2008 15:18

How lovely for you Emmsy I can't believe you get fortnightly collections That's disgusting! I remember once they didn't collect for two weeks cos of holidays or something and we had the most awful maggots crawling round our bins, I had to get my friend to help me bleach them out, really gross. Our 1st summer in our own place too [yuck]

Sparkly and Mollie I was also thinking Whiskey and another friend also suggested the same. This is making me wonder if everyone will be buying him whiskey now Should I not bother? I feel really mean but we've got him a card. Is that really tight?

FruitynNutty · 25/07/2008 15:20

Have fun Georgie! Can't wait to hear the news!

MollieMooma · 25/07/2008 17:20

GG Hope you have a fab holiday, you MUST tell us if there is any news
Emmsy Yuck! Fortnightly that's disgusting specially when it's so hot!
Fruity Just go with the card! How are you, still eating yourself out of house and home?
Sparkly Glad you had lots of cuddles. MS is a little better today but I think that's because all I've done is lie on the sofa, not eat and sleep My Mum is getting me some travel sickness bands to try as I dont want to take the medication

Hope everyone else is OK

teeheelaydee · 25/07/2008 18:27

Emmsy Glad you're feeling better, although maggots can't be helping the general feeling of wellbeing ! I had the same problem this week, although only a few, my mum suggested spraying 'raid', by which I assumed she meant fly spray so I tried it and there didn't seem to be any the next day. However we had collection today and I haven't checked the bin (teehee wanders off to get her wheelie bin)

teeheelaydee · 25/07/2008 18:34

I'm back and the few in the bottom look pretty dead to me so maybe fly spray is the way to go.

I won't bore you all with the gorey details as it is pretty trivial but how to mother's know exactly how to get under you skin and make you want to scream. I hope any of you ladies with DD's will not fall into those bad ways?

I did get quite good at monitoring my cycle back in the day with OPK's & then CM monitoring so I might give it a month or two. Actually DP & I did do a bit of recreational BD'ing as opposed to "get your boxers off I'm ov'ing" and I did notice EWCM the next day, I'm ignoring it though - couldn't be that lucky. PLEASE DO NOT LET ME IMAGINE SYMPTOMS.
