TTC August 2026

So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

The negatives are SO depressing!

You never know! You are still in 🙏 my "period" has decided to stop, so thats a massive headfuck. But won't let it get me down!

Omg what a nightmare 😭😂 I have had periods that have been stop/starty before, what is that about honestly!
I guess im technically still in and some women do still get their period like pains when they're a really pregnant, but I don't think it's common so I'm leaning towards AF coming. I've just had my hopes up too many times before to really let myself hope properly. It's silly really because at this point I should really be checking if I'm having chemicals etc but I'm too scared to check. 😔

Just frustrating, I am going swimming tomorrow so I'm assuming it'll show up in full force before then 😂

Solidarity with you, AF arrived for me yesterday too and I also had my cry and pep talk! We go again, fingers crossed this next cycle will be the one.

Hi all I’m 11dpo and I think I’ve lost the plot. I had some really bad cramping at 7dpo followed by a temp drop (though still above the cover line) and then a rise. Furious googling told me it could be implantation. My temp has usually dropped by now but it’s still rising. I’ve tested this morning, the first time I’ve ever held out this long and it’s a bfn. I’ve been taking photos of the test in every light, inverting the colours, convincing myself there’s a hint of something there, but I don’t know why because last month every test I did from this packet had an indent that never got darker, and appeared even when I put the test in water, so i know that’s what it is really…or just my imagination because it’s probably just a stark bfn.

I’m 11dpo, too and I also got cramps 7-8 dpo. Also a bfn no today and like you, spent ages photographing in different light and inverting colours etc. can’t see any colour other than an indent line for me. :(

I don’t think mine is, I did another test just with water and the exact same line appeared. I suppose were not technically out yet

Joining in. Think I'm 4dpo but hoping I'm 5dpo. Took me 36 cycles to conceive DS, but did naturally after 3 months of Metformin. OPKs don't work for me so track ovulation from CM alone. I am pretty accurate with it though, and was to the day for my DS due date. First month TTC but not testing til 12DPO as was negative up til then with DS 😬

trying to think of all the benefits to out weigh the sadness i.e, another month of saving, can finish my bottle of wine, etc.
only our first month trying and we made a few mistakes with tracking so hopefully get a hang of all this ovulation malarky next month.

only thing I am concerned about is dc1 has a June birthday.

the other thing to be aware of is if you have a July baby then you don’t get the funded hours until they’re 14 months old (so the September after they turn one). More time to save for that gap is always helpful.

Was also negative at 12dpo yesterday, didn't even bother testing this morning, just waiting for AF today/tomorrow. Always good to look at the positives, hope the wine went down well, I had one too many last night. Have been quite good up until now but it's hard to keep being strict a year in when it's making no difference.

This is true! Also a baby from September onwards requires an extra year in preschool technically!

hoping my luck is in September. I’ve done it once 😅 but that was off the back of getting married and going to a spa. I didn’t have a stressed bone in my body.

I’m sorry it’s been a year for you. It’s okay to treat yourself (also pretty sure it’s okay at this stage even if it you were pregnant).

My little sister has found out she’s pregnant this morning. Unplanned she was on the pill. Been at hospital with her for the past couple of hours. Trying to keep it together but really struggling right now

Thank you. They think it’s ectopic hence the hospital. She’s just been called in for her hormone level results

Oh no that can be really dangerous but good she's getting checked over, hope everything is OK.

hope she’s ok and they caught it early. My sister had one a few years back but she was ok and still had kids fine.

Hello lovely, I think all emotion is welcome on this board. Ttc is rough and it’s exhausting as you live all the possible scenarios every month.

We took the kids to London and I managed to forget about it for a little while. The Reno is going well thanks - on track to finish this month and I cannot WAIT!! I am excited to get windows in before it starts to get properly chilly in the mornings.

Af came a day late, my temp was still high the day before and I think I was holding on to a little bit of hope. Can’t believe I’m going into another month, I’m going to contact the gp today to see if I can get any tests.
