So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

No more spotting since that tiny bit yesterday. Still got some hope 🙏

I hope the tests turn positive for you, would be nice to have another BFP here before the month is over!

So sorry for all the bfns and i fully know that feeling or just wanting your period to come so you can crack on again. Feels like such a limbo state when you know you're out but you have to wait.

My line is progressing a little and less of a squinter. Feel lile I must be very very early still.

9dpo and a bfn still 🫠 I used a clear blue early detection and easy@home. You’d think it’d show something :(

@LionMama2 Hello! I’ve been taking a bit of a break from the board too. Just feeling rather depressed about the whole TTC thing and not sure that helps anyone. I know I need to go to the GP but I also don’t want to hear “we can’t do anything to help.”

Currently on CD15 and waiting for ovulation. Not got any EWCM yet though, which I normally get for a week before ovulation, so not expecting it any time soon. Wishing for another short 35 day cycle but not hopeful!

How are you feeling? How’s the house renovation going?

Sorry to hear about the BFN. Was reading back through the chat and saw you have PCOS and this is only your third cycle this year! Must be even harder when you ovulate so infrequently. Hope this is just a late implantation for you and it turns into a positive 🤞

I am not too bad thanks. Haven't started bleeding yet but it's not actually due until tomorrow, I can feel the usual discomfort that I get mostly in t very lower back though. I keep also getting little twinges in one boob and it's not the boob that usually hurts so that's giving me false hope but deep down I do think AF is coming sadly.

Not necessarily, implantation can still be happening at this point and the hormones wouldn't have risen enough to show even on early detection x

Yeah, I'm trying to tell myself 10dpo is still very early but I think when you're used to seeing negatives it's hard for my brain to expect anything else. I've actually found it easier as time has gone on, I was really crashing out in the beginning but now I've kind of come to expect negatives so it doesn't really bother me so much seeing a negative test anymore. Maybe it helps knowing we have some investigations booked now.

Good luck with your hyscosy! Honestly, sometimes I have to just zone other people out. Today I had a taxi driver making conversation and he just came out with when are you gonna have kids? I thought that was so odd to throw in to a conversation with someone you don't know. Some people are nosy gits with no self awareness.

I also saw a friend today who I was dreading seeing because she always asks if I'm pregnant when I see her which is also wtf. She doesn't even know we're trying. She made a comment to me and our other friend that she thought one of us was pregnant. The other friend being the same person who told us about her traumatic miscarriage a couple of months ago. I thought it was completely unhinged and thoughtless of her to even make that comment!! She doesn't know about my miscarriage because we haven't told people but I would have had a breakdown if she's said that to me soon after. Completely hapless. Sorry for the rant haha.

Totally get you on just becoming used to seeing negatives, to be honest I haven't even tested many times as I'm usually like clockwork and AF symptoms start a few days before she arrives so usually there's not much hope at that point (which is also crushing). But after so many months I think you just start to believe it can't actually happen. You can see why so many people are finally taken by surprise when it does..

And yes people can be so thoughtless. I try to remind myself that they probably just don't even consider other people's struggles that's why they say such harsh things. I'm sorry you've heard such careless things from multiple people, that's really awful. It's happened to me once or twice. Like last weekend, we were giving some friends a lift home (they kind of pushed themselves on us to start with) and as one of them is pregnant I said to her take the front seat I'll squeeze in the back with the others, and she said 'thanks.you have no idea how uncomfortable it can be'. I had to bite my tongue as I wanted to say 'no, but I know what it feels like to try for a year with nothing and I can guarantee it's worse'.

BFN this morning. Not sure how many more month of this I can go through 😢

Yeah makes it challenging! Starting to realise just how lucky I was with dc1, im not sure if everyone felt this pressure cycle 1 of trying and feeling so defeated.

10dpo, bfn, I know I’m not out until AF comes, but I also know I messed up ovulation timings because I failed to ovulate and when I did actually ovulate the timing wasn’t ideal.

AF has arrived, I am officially out. I've had my cry and a pep talk from DP and now ready to move on to September.

Weirdly looking forward to not having to think about it for a few days. The stress was making me feel awful.

Sorry to those that have started AF. This journey is tough! Looks like I will be ovulating soon, just got a LH of 0.9 we DTD yesterday, Wednesday and Monday and will DTD the next 3 nights (including tonight). I am praying my cycles are regulating a bit now. This will be 5 days earlier than last cycle.

Looks like we are on a similar cycle now, be nice to have someone else testing at the same time on the sep thread 🙂 good luck with everything

We really just have to roll with the punches haha. I had another negative today at 11dpo but at least that means I can have gin tonight haha. Good luck for next cycle, hoping we don't have too much longer left to wait in baby purgatory.

My period hasn't arrived yet, would normally be today however I know I did ovulate slightly later than expected as I sometimes get a tiny bit of spotting around ovulation and this happened later than usual this month so I think my AF will be here tomorrow. I would normally test but I don't feel like putting myself through another negative, especially when I am getting all the usual soreness I get before AF.
