TTC August 2026

So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

I had the same a cycle or 2 ago, spotting at 6dpo and then nothing, it's so disheartening.

I haven't watched eastenders in ages, what's going on? 😂

I had spotting early in the luteal phase and then started again yesterday, I usually spot a day or two before AF which I’m assuming this time it is. It’s so frustrating

I’m still trying to bring myself to watch the next series of virgin river 😩

I never finished the most recent series. Think I watched the first episode and gave up 🫣

I’m only just starting season 3. I was watching it while I was pregnant before as a chill programme to have on while I was sewing a toy…maybe need to wait until I’m pregnant again. Stuffed toy attempt #1 was pretty wonky so I could do with trying again.

Has anyone had a massive head cold before a BFP? I started a couple of days ago, I'm 8dpo today. I've been quite good at not symptom spotting so far this cycle but this cold has hit me. Of course I googled it and loads of stories of BFPs after a cold. I actually remember someone at work had the same but could be wishful thinking. Also had insomnia last night, hardly slept and then up again before my alarm. I was so hot I had to take everything off but that could be cold related :(

Had a cold with my first but wasn’t sure if it was because I’d been on a city break abroad. I usually get the sniffles after going on a plane. Feeling like I’m coming down with a cold now too but there’s only a slight shadow of a line (possibly an indent). Fingers crossed it’s a good sign for you

@ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft Yes I had this! I woke up one morning with a really dry throat and was so thirsty around 7dpo. Then had horrible cold symptoms for the week when I got my BFP. I hope it’s a sign for you!

I am out this cycle so will join the September thread 😩 my body has been especially cruel this cycle as I had really sore boobs 10-11dpo which I have only really ever had with my 1st pregnancy, it’s not a normal pms symptom for me. I was convinced I had to be pregnant, but nope.

im 7dpo. Had bad cramping yesterday and more watery cm. Took a test and it’s a bfn but it’s still early. I cramped a lot with dc1 but that was right at the 14dpo tail end of it.

still, kinda hopeful :)

Hi ladies, so i got my peak LH just now, this was 2 days later than I'd normally expect it (i'm usually pretty bang on) would this normally just shift my period back a day or too? Just worried my luteal phase is going to be shorter at 10-11 days because of this! I guess its just a case of wait and see...

Your luteal phase doesn't usually change, if you ovulated later than usual your period will most likely be due later too. Do you track every cycle?

Whenever I'm this early I always try to remind myself that implantation likely hasn't even happened yet. I am about 9dpo now so even if it happens now the hormones won't start rising for another day or two. However I am also overthinking every twinge so I'm right with you 😅

Have tracked the last 4-5 months and i'm pretty much regular, I did think my period was slightly longer by maybe 1 day this last one just gone but I thought it was just the "dregs" (sorry tmi!)

My LP is usually 12 days so hopefully things have just shifted slightly which would help loads for forward planning as was due to be away a few times for future predicted ovulation.
Better get "moving"so theres something to actually hope for haha!

Joining again here, 10dpo and a BFN this morning. I know I’m not out yet but not feeling hopeful!

What early symptoms do people get? I'm 9DPO and feeling pretty normal today. I've had some very mild cramps over the last few days which became quite noticeable last night.

Aw haha yes it can be so difficult just organising TTC can't it when you've got lots more going on. I have been TTC for 11 months now so I know exactly what you mean.
My LP is also about 12 days. I did find my cycles for longer a few months when I was taking Seven Seas preconception vitamins (delayed ovulation). Now that I'm on the Pregnacare ones they've gone back to my normal 27/28 days.

I have had the most messed up cycle with numerous peaks and no idea when I ovulated. I have literally no idea how many dpo I am today but I took a test because ive been doing that routinely even if its way too early. I think i might see a line.. what do you think? Its so light though so could be an indent

I can definitely see a second line! I'm not sure about indents though as I don't tend to test early. Others might be more knowledgeable here

Chat gpt is telling me this is negative. Ill leave it a few more days and test again. Feels so weird not knowing how many dpo I am. Obviously weve been trying hard for this but now its potentially positive im terrified!!

Yes probably best to try again in a couple of days, got my fingers crossed for you!

It looks pink so more likely to be positive than indent
