How's everyone doing?

Everything crossed for you, it’s so confusing, there’s literally no way to tell until u kiss a period and get a test 🙈🙈 ❤️❤️

Silverglass · 25/07/2026 09:38

Looking like another heatwave on the horizon, make trying nice and sweaty 😥.

i can tell from my cm I’m still at least a few days from ovulation but I end up doing a lh test anyway. Should just be buying shares in easy@home at this point!

Thank you. It really is. At the moment I have symptoms but tests are coming back negative. I did read that it could also be withdrawal from coming off the pill. I dont remember feeling like this last time I came off the pill.

Oh I really hope there isnt another heatwave coming. I really struggled in the last one. It reached 37 here apparently felt like 43. I hated it.

I feel like that. Thankfully they are cheap for the amount you get

Hi ladies, hoping I can jump onto this thread as I am out for July as AF arrived today. Cycle 7 for me, I feel less hopeful with each month. With my first we were extremely lucky and managed to fall pregnant in the first cycle so I naively assumed this time would be the same!

Hoping August is a lucky month for us all ✨

Hi welcome.
Sorry to hear AF arrived. I know how disheartening it came be when we dont fall pregnant as quick as we'd like, took over 2 years for my eldest.

CD16 and my Lh tests are still resolutely negative. I keep hoping for a shorter cycle, I’d had a couple of 35 day ones before I started trying, but it just isn’t happening! Dtd every other day just in case as well. Feeling a bit rubbish as 8 months feels like a long time to be disappointed for!

Spotting after MMC seems to have stopped and I’ve started to see a little CM so I hope my cycle is returning. 🤞 I’m expecting it to be irregular so think all I can do is DTD every couple of days until I can use ovulation strips again. Treating today as my personal CD1 😊

I’m actually feeling quite energised today, so off to the gym later which I haven’t done in a couple of months!

Hope everyone is doing okay? Anyone else at the early stage of their cycle?

Sorry to hear about the MMC, glad to hear you are feeling energised.

I'm still waiting for AF to arrive. Had yet another positive OPK today 3rd one since coming off the pill so not sure what's going on with my body at the moment

I’m the same point as you, no idea when I’ll ovulate but my pregnancy tests are negative now so I can use lh strips. Cm is starting to come back so I’m hopeful maybe in the next few days!

Springcloud26 · 26/07/2026 16:53

Oh that’s frustrating for you @inkgirl, when did you come off the pill?

I’m sorry you went through one too @Silverglass, that is reassuring sign with CM! I was still testing positive strongly on Thursday so will wait a week. How long did it take to get your negative, if you don’t mind me asking?

BigGirlPants01 · 26/07/2026 16:56

Good luck this month eveyone!!
Just starting cycle 3 and my peak looks to be around this weeks mini heatwave... lovely!

About 3 weeks ago, the first time I came off the pill my period arrived a few days later so for it to be weeks this time round is frustrating

@BigGirlPants01 do you track with LH strips? Good luck for this cycle!

@inkgirl the waiting is always hard when TTC and must be worse when cycle is being unusual. I really hope you get some clarity soon.

Yes, I track with strips and store in a tracker. My cycles are pretty regular give or take a day some times. Luckily i'm finding my surge (usually around 2/3pm) and if its when it should be this month thats slap bang in the middle of the hottest day we're due haha!

Fingers crossed for this one.. I do have PCO (not the syndrome) and i'm 36 (ttc first child)...
Both arent big drinkers so we've cut all alcohol, on the usual vitamins, 1 cup of caff coffee a day etc. You can do all you can so who knows what will happen!

Springcloud26 · 26/07/2026 17:23

@BigGirlPants01 Yep I like to plan and I’ve found with TTC, you can’t control everything so I really struggle with this! I’m the same, cut out alcohol, reduced caffeine and starting swimming & Pilates. Trying to minimise stress too.

I’m 39 and TTC for first too - I was taking a Pregnacare vit at start of year but my cycle went to 37 days (usually around 32) so I stopped and now take seperate folic & vit d. Also added omega 3 and coq10, just in case it helps.

My last cycle where I conceived I tracked with LH strips for first time and found ovulation was around CD 22 so I think later than I realised, and maybe my previous attempts were way out!

Snap! Planning is in my blood haha and this is just that one thing you just can't control! Folic and vitamin d for me too. I've heard about some changing your cycle so I've been careful with what i'm taking.

How are you finding the lack of caffine? I'm ok but hubby was crawling the walls for a few days.
It's only been 3 months for us (1st month wasn't really tracked) I'm just trying not to get into my head too much, we're both of the same mindset - if we're gonna do it this is probs the last chance and if it happens then it happens. That 2ww is a killer tho!

It really is. I've got to wait 3 weeks then doctor will do a blood test as he said most people usually would have had at least a withdrawal bleeding in 6 weeks after coming off the pill. And because I had a faint positive with pregnancy tests and are now negative he just wants to see what's going on

@BigGirlPants01 Luckily I cut the caffeine at the same time as when we had those heatwaves and I wouldn’t have wanted hot drinks as much anyway - I think that helped any withdrawal symptoms! I also added some decaf tea as a replacement.

The TWW is so hard! Last time I waited to test until 15 DPO and AF due too. This is when I took up swimming to take my mind off it!

That’s good that your doctor will do some tests @inkgirl. When I first started TTC I had a really long cycle and thought I was late by about a week but was testing negative. I rang my GP and they had me in same day for a blood test to test hcg. AF turned up before I got the results but I was very impressed they took me seriously. They tested a lot more things and noticed my TSH was elevated so now that is being monitored, where as I would never have known about it.

I was half expecting to have to wait months before they did anything. I'm glad they took you seriously too

Quite fast, just over a week, but my lh strips stayed completely negative (you couldn’t really even see a line without squinting) for a couple of weeks before creeping back up to my normal low line.
