bluestarlavender · 26/06/2008 17:03

Thanx.

I've had a mini wander about in a few chat rooms and am completely befuddled with all the acronyms!! I'm guessing I'll be asking 'what's xxx mean' alot! So I should probably apologise now.

HumphreysCorner · 26/06/2008 17:03

Ah, cross posts.

Hi and welcome bluestarlavender. Sending lots of babydust your way.

very excited wellies! Only 7 hours to go then it's officially late!

HC - hope your headache's gone now. Hope waether holds for dd2's birthday party. Aww - are you having just family or lots of lttle ones?

willmouse - congrats on passing the OFSTED! Well done! I know how nerve wracking they can be!

MJIM - how lovely to see the alien belly! I told DP and he went "wow!" - he can't wait for stuff like that. He will never have his hands off my belly I reckon!

Waves to everyone else! Hope you are all having a good day. (Far too much BB watching here!)

I have had the day from hell at work, but won't bore you with the details . I had a random idea that I thought I had some EWCM this morning, so I did an opk, which was quite a strong line! This was always going to be a weird cycle but do you think it's possible that I might be about to ovulate? It's only CD11 today, and I usually ov on CD17-19!!! Should I send in some more swimmers tonight??? pmsl xxx

OP posts:
Bellie · 26/06/2008 17:12

oh wellies - exciting times - have you brought the test for the morning yet? ((Impatient drumming of fingers))

Willmouse - well done - that is fantastic news!! Have you got children likned up already? Or have you got to advertise?

Welcome bluestarlavender - keep asking away - between us all I think we have them all covered!

MJIM - can't wait to get to that stage again!! I used to think it was hilarious but soooo cute at the same time.

CE - not sure what it means, but the opk is showing a stong line!! You may find that there are still some hormones left over that are affecting the test, or it could be that what has happened has re-set your cycle iyswim?

HC - hope the migrane is better soon. Sometimes I think they change all the products on purpose so we all spend a fortune on others that don't work!

Waves to everyone else- need to get dd some tea so better go !

WelliesAndPyjamas · 26/06/2008 17:16

No, I haven't HC and Bellie - will buy it tomorrow if no sign of AF by then. Thank god I don't live near any shops.

bluestarlavender - don't worry, the acronyms will come quickly enough. I've only been on this TTC (Trying To Conceive) thread for a little while but am gradually working out what they're all talking about Plus there's an Acronym List somewhere at the top of the page.

Hope your day has got better CE

bluestarlavender · 26/06/2008 17:24

Cool! Thanx for the acronyms list tip!! That should help a bit. I've figured out TTC and CD. I'm sure more will come!

ChocolateEclair · 26/06/2008 17:27

LOL

opk is an ovulation prediction kit - ie you pee on a stick (POAS) to see if you are going to ovulate!

forgot to say welcome!!!!

OP posts:
WelliesAndPyjamas · 26/06/2008 17:55

so that's what POAS means!

bm - yes I have researched vasaline etc. It isn't good for ttc is it! Preseed is expensive though so we decided against. Trying to go au naturel in the eclair household!

DP has just agreed with you on sending the men in tonight just in case! (I looked on the MC threads and there have been several occasions of very early ovulation!)

wellies - any sign? ONLY 5 hours!!!

OP posts:
Bellie · 26/06/2008 19:08

CE - pmsl - I have visions of you with the timer clock counting down wellie af!!

Baileymist - vaseline not so good so I hear, so now you can really go for it! Lots of threads on here with positive stories about pre-seed. Was about to go down that pathway but luckily didn't need to spend that money!

I can't believe how chatty you have all been since I left work at 4.30 and now!!

Bluestar - welcome You will soon pick up the lingo and everyone is so supportive here.

Wellies - any news yet??

CE - I would definitely go for it if I was you as what have you got to lose??

MJIM - your DS is so cute. My DS pretty much refuses to give 'bump' a kiss at any time!!

CE - I have also had a rubbish day at work but I am off next week so only got one more day to do Have found out that it is unlikely that they are going to replace me whilst I am on maternity leave which means my 2 colleagues would be expected to pick up all my work - which is a bit unreasonable at the best of times but even more so considering there is serious capability issues with one of them which are in the process of being dealt with so me and my other colleague are doing her work at the moment - which would obviously mean my one capable colleague is really going to struggle I have worked with her for 6 years now and feel so guilty even though I know I shouldn't and there is nothing I can do about it. Sorry to go on but it helps to 'talk' about it iykwim.

ChocEclair-took 6 weeks until I got a negative PG test after my MC. Was reading about using OPK's as PG tests and they do tend to give false positives. However, there is no harm in sending the troops in tonight.

I have read recently that KY and saliva kill the little spermies-didn't know about vaseline though.

The tablets DH bought are old stock so looking increasing likely that they are discontinued.

Byee for now lovely ladies.

Poor you BB, Where do you find the stuff anyway? I went into Boots it wasn't there.

My you have been very chatty! I have been rushing around the past few days, we are going to a parents afternoon tomorrow for DS's new school in Sept. It is a proper school and he starts in the Nursery, I feel like he is growing up so fast and that he probably will be my only baby it seems to whizz by. On Saturday we have 5 houses to look at 3 rentals and 2 to buy. I haven't made an appointment with the Lister yet because I cannot concentrate on anything until I have somewhere to live! fingers crossed things go well this weekend so I can get down to important things. Am I repeating myself from my last post many apologies if I am.

Hello Baileymist I am still here its just ttc in this household is a bit of an annual event really! Hoping moving might put the zing back into our sex life! There is no such thing as TMI on this thread!

Wellies i am not saying a word but hoping lots!

MJIM Hope DS is having a good time at nursery.

Hello everyone else.

Sx
