Hi guys
Here is the lovely new thread. Maybe we might get some newbies as well?!?!?

Hi all

ceebee-am so pleased for you and really pleased I found out before we went. Hope everything is fine and dandy on the next scan. A little bro for Josh.

Back Sunday night so not going to be away long.

Dawn-PMSL at the Next Catalogue. Think I might start walking into things and blame PG head.

bluestar-how exciting having a near cycle buddy. Am sure I will return from my weekend with lots more symptoms although I fear they may be ones associated with being away with my PIL.

Welcome daisyj and lots of luck. I am sorry to hear about your MC-I had one 3 years ago and the feeling never goes away IMO. You need to speak to Mandy about her John Wayne style sexathon

DH phoned earlier to say his cousin's son is expecting a boy (well, his girlfriend). We both said it would be typical if he had a boy and he is so DH is a tad . Then broke the news about FF altering my OV date meaning the 3 deeds were done leading up to this date and he was even more deflated but said the FF software could be wrong and indeed it could. I told him it didn't matter anyway.

Alert, PG symptom-heartburn. Could this be a sign Dawn?

Got to collect DD1 from school then take her dancing so will pack my laptop away and will see you all on Sunday night.

Wish me luck!

HC

Hi all - gosh have been flat out for a couple of days with end of term and look at the news!!

Mandy - congrats

Welcome to daisyj and lots of babydust your way.

HC - hope it is not too stressful - pack the blossom hill and then you can always retreat inside if it gets too much.

Ceebee - wow another boy!! fantastic news. Good luck with the next scan.

Soosy have they been back about your offer since they rejected it? Hold out if you can - the market is not good at the moment so they may rethink.

Should be packing (flight at 7.40am tomorrow) but got sucked into mn when I was only supposed to be checking what the weather will be like in France (wet ).
Spotting stopped, but have brown gunky discharge. M/w said not to be concerned if it was brown. Have scan when I get back from France!!

Sorry not had time to mention everyone but will try and pop back on later, but must go and pack!

DawnAS · 11/07/2008 15:39

Look HC - at least my Catalogue sign was a REAL sign!! Heartburn?! Pah!! Just too much pizza love!!

On a serious note (no really, I'm trying!!), I think heartburn is quite common, but isn't it quite late on when baby's squashing everything up?!

But since we're being optimistic today - Course it's a bloody sign!! Twins I'd say!! (Can you tell I'm in that crazy Friday mood?! )

One more sign for you HC - if you continue to PYSL, that's a very definite sign - ha ha ha!!!

Hi BSL and MJIM, hope your days are going Ok.

Have a fun break Bellie, relax and enjoy!!

Back to the "how much sex" issue, is it bad to wake up and think "oh crap, we've got to BD again tonight...", something tells me that's not a great thought to have....

xxx

Mandy73 · 11/07/2008 16:20

Dawn PMSL about Next Materinty. I'm sure it's a sign, or luck - me getting a maternity-esque dress was, yes? x
MJIM Thank you lovely girl! x
Welcome DaisyJ thank you so much. This is one lucky & fun thread you know. x
Ceebee Congratualtions!!! So it?s a boy!! So happy all went well. x
Bluestar you just never know, you know. Hang in there! x
HC, Thinking about you packing caravan in the rain & remembering us doing the same as kids, ?helping mum? (I?m sure we didn?t help at all .) At least you & DH are speaking ? good! Heartburn, interesting... Fingers crossed for you. x
Bellie thank you so much. Enjoy France! x

Now I can?t bldy wait for DH to get home so I can tell. He wants this so much. Bought him some tesco champagne to celebrate ? I may have a tiny sip too. We deserve it!
Have a great w/e all. xx

ChocolateEclair · 11/07/2008 17:39

Dawn - am of you getting your Next catalogue! I love getting new Next catalogues as I live out of Next and mine has not arrived. Since it fell open on the maternity clothes is there anything nice??

You lot have been getting giddy today! I think it is perfectly normal to wake up and think 'god I have to BD again tonight' - and I think our DH/DP's start to feel like that after a few months of TTC aswell

Have had a quick look on the internet about what the problem could be with the baby and it ranges from no problem at all to a couple of serious things so not much help really! Guess we will just have to wait to see after Wednesday - whatever, we are determined not to let it ruin DS's birthday weekend this weekend!

CE - have told DS but I don't think he knows what a brother is although I pointed to my bump and said Sam is in there and he went right up to it and shouted 'Am' very loudly at it!!

x

ceebee74 · 11/07/2008 19:43

MJIM - yes, boys are so fab and, do you know what, I wasn't even a little disappointed that it wasn't a girl! I was preparing myself to feel a little bit down for a few days knowing I would never have a little girl to dress in pink but am really not bothered at all!! And, it is definitely a boy as it was not shy in showing us

ceebee74 · 11/07/2008 19:44

Will post the photo later if I can - it isn't great though as the baby was not co-operating!

have not got time to read the posts in detail but congratulations Mandy on your BFP and Ceebee on your boy. Hope the bowel stuff is OK.

Bellie have a lovely holiday.

Just been reading about my SIL-to be's hen do. It sounds like fun if you are drinking but is going to hard going sober. Plus it is one of those things where everyone puts the same money in for venue, food and drink. So I am going to spend a fortune on everyone else's booze. Oh well, can hardly not go to SIL's do.

ally90 · 11/07/2008 21:01

Congrats Mandy and thanks for details...makes interesting reading for my imaginary symptom spotting.

I'm due AF on Monday...so going to test monday? But have no test...dear god! Just checked prices on Ebay!!! How come they are so cheap compared to clearblue etc????

bluestarlavender · 12/07/2008 09:35

Morning all!!

Oh, so so glad it's the weekend! Although it's DIY dat today...oh well.

Today is DPO 4 and not so much as the faintest whiff of a symptom!! Except the massive onset of a bout hayfever that started last night! Rah!

Off to buy cat food now, otherwise there'll be no rest in this house.

BSL x

juanitad · 12/07/2008 10:10

Hi everyone.

Big congrats to Mandy......what a great result after 11 months of trying! I'm convinced this thread brings good luck and that everyone on it will get their BFPs before too long!! Have you worked out a rough due date yet?

Ceebee, how exciting that you're having a boy, I hope that everything is ok re: bowel, I'm sure it'll be nothing to worry about.

I got a bit ahead of myself this week and ordered a pram and a crib!! I'm not getting them until October, but just ordering them was nice!!

Am loving my new car, ceebee hope you are too. Going to visit my parents today, they live about 40 miles away, so I can give it its first decent run out.

Hope everyone is well and hope you all have a lovely weekend.....the sun is shining here for the first time in a very long time!!

detoxdiva · 12/07/2008 12:20

Hi All

Fab news ceebee! Another gorgeous little boy - glad everything went well.

Ally - fingers crossed for Monday. I got my first lot of tests off ebay this week - great aren't they? Probably so cheap as they're just sticks! No fancy packaging to be seen

Dawn - am loving the catalogue 'sign'. Mine arrived yesterday so I keep knocking it off the table everytime I walk past, but no such luck yet with the maternity pages !!

MJIM - thanks for the kind words - no all is not lost as I did test early on cd32. Have calculated my average cycle length this year as 36 days so may be tempted to test again on Wednesday is no af. However, I just feel 'un-pregnant' so am not getting hopes up. Like I said, dh and I are going for the Mandy approach next month Dh is quite happy to support me in this!!!

Right, off to tidy up. Hi to everyone else and welcome to daisyj - have a great weekend.

x

ceebee74 · 12/07/2008 12:29

Hi all

Detox - I didn't get a BFP until CD38 so don't give up hope (but don't build your hopes up either iykwim) - it was a nightmare as I kept getting BFN's but no sign of the AF - I am sure I drove the ladies on this thread mad for days!!

Juanitad - my car is just fab - am not missing my Ka at all!!

Grrrr why has everyone else got their Next catalogues apart from me?

Off for a quick nap and then taking DS to a birthday party - it is best friend at nursery who was born 2 days before him so we were all in hospital together this time 2 years ago - can't believe my little boy is 2 on Monday

x

bluestarlavender · 12/07/2008 15:38

Hi guys,

Bored of the DIY so popped in to see what's been going on...

I was wondering if any of you guys had been reading that thread - Denied Clomid because of weight etc etc. I was pretty shocked as it got quite nasty!

Anyhow, am n route to get the vacuum cleaner...best be off before DH finds out what i"m really up to

BSL x

Mandy73 · 12/07/2008 16:11

Afternoon all,

CE thank you so much. It?s both of course; joining Bonkers and BD Fest-08! How are you doing this w/e? x

MJIM Yup, still cloud nine. Sorry to hear about your calf, what?s going on there?

Ceebee You never drove anyone mad! Boys are great! As are girls! Lol at ?not shy of showing you? . x

Ally90 Thank you and fingers crossed for you. Not sure why ebay tests are so much cheaper ? less fancy brands perhaps, with CB and 1st response we the consumer pay for marketing & packaging for sure. I think with some you only get the actual stick, like what a GP would use. I?ve been wasteful and never got any cheapos but then I?ve been pretty good at not testing early/waiting for AF.

Bluestar hang in there, fingers crossed for you. Hee hee DH thinks I?m trying to print off address labels as we speak so if you get on with hoovering I best get on with that. x

JuanitaD, thank you! Happy you?re loving your car. Enjoy visiting parents. My EDD would be 22 March (DH said ?Wow, a spring baby? then cried again, he?s been incredibly sweet and happy. )

Detoxdiva happy you seem optimistic, yes, just go for it ? may feel a bit silly at first but the ?no excuses?-approach can actually be a turn on ? you make time for yourselves and I must admit we enjoyed wearing a bit of sexy lounge wear & treating ourselves to some of wine & us-time on regular work nights: ie BD Fest-08, aka John Wayne Week, need not be a chore. DHs libido is v irregular (work stress, wife stress ) so I?m well proud of him.

Enjoy the rest of the w/e everyone. xx

ChocolateEclair · 12/07/2008 17:10

Hi girls - hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend. Hope Mandy is still grinning from ear to ear!

I am having the best day today. We picked up our new car this morning and it's lovely! I drove it all the way home (about 30 miles) and even managed to get it into a parking bay and onto the drive without crashing! [very proud of oneself emoticon]!!!

Had lunch with DP's cousin and hubbie and 3 kids which was lovely. Their baby is about 4 months old now and has started laughing, a really cute little giggle. Got a bit of a lump in my throat when DP had a cuddle - he looked so happy.

Oh, and fertility friend has decided I finally ovulated on wednesday (CD24!!!!)so am now officially in the 2ww. I am not going to get my hopes up this month - it's just nice to know my body is back to normal and everything is working again!!!!

Love to all xxxx

OP posts:
majormoo · 12/07/2008 18:27

very jealous of your new cars. We need one but are stalling because we cannot really afford it but will not be able to fit us all in to our existing old banger

CE hope the 2ww does not drag too long

Detoxdiva fingers crossed for this month and if no luck, sounds like you have plenty of fun planned for next month.

2 women on my Dec antenatal thread have just had second trimester miscarriages-it is so horrible. You really cannot take anything for granted. Felt my baby move earlier which I am very relieved about bearing in mind the mood of the antenatal thread.

Back in the the non-mumsnet world, we have had a lovely day. DD's ballet performance and then took the kids down to the beach. Cannot believe DD has nearly finished her first year at school. With the unison strike next week she only has 5 days left in reception!

MJIM yes I remember that from your antenatal thread. very sad. My scan is 21st July so not long. Hoping to have a surprise unless it is blantantly obvious at the scan

aaah it is lovely when you get the old clothes out and see how tiny they are. You can still use the blue clothes even if it is a girl. Trust me, if it is a girl-you quickly get sick of the sight of pink!

Cd34 - fed up fed up fed up fed up

Wish stupid af would jus hurry up and let me get on wih things

thanks - just needed to get that off my chest

ChocolateEclair · 13/07/2008 10:23

detox - are you ok? Remind me when you tested BFN again? CD34 is good with no af isn't it? You said your cycles average 36 days so I reckon another test coming up perhaps? Don't be let it all out on here!

majormoo - how truly awful what has happened on your antenatal thread. There is nothing you can say to them I'm sure, but at least they do have mumsnet to talk to others this has unfortunately happened to. Hope it is not upsetting you too much, you seem to be fairly relaxed about your own pg. They will know you are thinking about them though.

mjim - how lovely getting all the baby stuff ready! I guess you need to start preparing to meet this lo pretty soon! How is ds?

I have just woken up !!! I can't remember the last time I slept this late! It must be endoftermitus lol! Going to have a very lazy day after such a busy one yesterday.

How is everyone?
