Good point - you have to be so careful with the shortening of names.

When my Niece Tianey first started to talk (she's 3 now) she called herself Ninny and it's stuck. Probably sounds quite funny to other people, but we all find it endearing because she decided it herself.

Well, you've got a lot less time than me to finalise the names... I may well buy myself a Babyname Book when I get a BFP!! May be some time though, it is only TTC#1....

xx

Evening all,

Just finished painting a room, having a v late home cooked curry in a minute.

Bluestar get well soon!

Bellie so sorry to hear about your pain & strange goings on - take it easy will you! xx

MJIM, fingers crossed the cold doesn?t develop!

HC Thank you, I really appreciate that. Ooo caravaning can be so lovely .

BB Lovely to see you here again. I'm fascinated by the big O discussion too but wouldn't get too stressed about it at all - think of how many children are conceived by rape in conflict zones for example. horror emoticonCE how was the pub last night? Sorry to hear about the OPK confusion. I really like your names, Olivia esp.

DawnAS don?t be ! Chin up! Easier said than done sometimes I know, but still. x

Hope everyone is having a good evening & w/e. xx

P.S. 2ww really sucks (sorry for stating the obvious ). Already flirting with testing but of course early testing is the road to insanity. 'Cos whatever you 'get' you can't take to the bank. And then you've opened the floodgates to wanting to test every five seconds for the next week, right? Awful temper today (PMT Hello ) & dull cramps 4th day running but trying to use the negative energy for cleaning & DIY.

detoxdiva · 06/07/2008 10:13

Morning all

Mandy - step away from the testing kit . I'm on the 2ww too and it's a nightmare isn't it??? Hope it's good news soon.

Awwww, am loving all these names - was even laying in bed last night thinking about ideas (me, getting ahead of myself? Never!!)

Hope everyone had a great day - am doing roast for 7 later so better get out of the dressing gown and peel some spuds. Dh taken dd to the park so I'm having some indulgent mumsnet time, hee hee

HumphreysCorner · 06/07/2008 11:13

Morning all

Bellie-hope all OK. Scan tomorrow. {{xx}}

Mandy-lol, last month in the 2WW I cleaned and gardened like a maniac. Passes the time eh? Would say that a temper from hell is one of my early PG symptoms.

Am now on the 2WW so already symptom spotting waiting patiently. Not convinced I have got OV day right as my temps don't tie in with my +ive OPK. Hello Chloe

Having extremely late breakfast but didn't get round 2 in as DH comatosed in sleep. GGRRHH!!

Love to all and good luck to all 2 WW's. No testing early!

Hi everyone, sorry for not being around the last few days, been crazy busy. Everything ok with me & baby, baby looks perfectly healthy, but haver to go backfor another heart scan at 32 weeks to double check because ds2's condition developed much later than normal. I am confident all is fine.

Ds2 keeping me busy right now. He hasn't been quite right for the last couple of days, tired, pale, clingy and today keeps complaining on and off of tummy ache (think it may be hunger as he hasn't been eating too much). It may be something he has eaten (he has lots of food allergies) or maybe a little bug. At least he is drinking his usual amount and has had a piece of toast, 2 biscuits and a small banana so far. Poor baby. Here's hoping he has a nap and wakes feeling brighter.

Hope everyone is ok, fingers crossed for all those near testing and sending lots of baby dust to those in the run up to Ov.

majormoo · 06/07/2008 13:20

Hi HM2J glad you are feeling good about the heart scan. Hope your DS is better soon

Bellie will be thinking of you tomorrow

We are watching Dr Who tonight-can't wait.

CE I love Scarlett but we know 4 of them so it is a bit too popular round here. I also like Roxie (not so much Roxanne), Olivia as well as Jack and Harry. Have not discussed names properly yet. Finding a boys name we both like is a nightmare. We ended up getting really moody with each the 400th time we went through the name book to find a name for DS (who ended up being Milo).

MJIM time really is flying for you. Nearly the third trimester.

Mandy I know it is hard not to but do not test.

Hope the 2ww does not drag too much for those of you in it.

ChocolateEclair · 06/07/2008 17:44

hi ladies

bellie - hope you are ok today and have had no more bleeding. Fingers crossed for tomorrow xxx

majormoo - Milo, that's a great name. How do you pronounce it? My-low or Mee-low? Very unusual .

HM2J - hope ds2 feels better soon, poor thing. Lots of cuddles required.

HC - lol at "Hello Chloe"! Think I might have to follow your lead and have a cleaning marathon in the 2ww!

Mandy - yes, the 2ww sucks, big time! You have to find ways of filling the time. I tend to fid shopping helps quite a lot!

detox - hope your mammoth roast went well. I looooove roast dinners - yum yum! Don't buy any pg tests now!

MJIM - lol at wilberforce! That would be quite cruel I think! Baby wriggling today?

Dawn - don't be but I sooooooo know what you mean. It's hard to imagine being a Mum when you are not one yet! Must get easier when ttc the 2nd and 3rd dc!

Well, today we have taken a very positive thinking step, and have bought a large car! We currently have a clio but will be picking up a Nissan Almera Tino (swit-swoo!) on Saturday! I had a test drive and was really nervous as it is by far the biggest car I've ever driven! My reverse parking wasn't very impressive! I'm hoping to fill it up with all these babies I'm about to concieve! lol!

Was it Juanitad who's getting the fabia? I saw one of those and it looked very nice. A good choice!

BM/BB/willmouse - how are you all???? Keep up us to date!

DawnAS · 06/07/2008 18:18

Hey all,

Bellie - Hope everything is Ok and sending you loads of and kisses for tomorrow. We'll all be waiting to hear your good news!!

Is it me or do you become soooo in tune with your body when you're TTC?! You'll probably all laugh at me, but today, had really really strange cramping sensation and shooting pains in "that" area. Been BDing every other day (thanks to Mandy73 for your advice on that one - I think it was you!!), but am now not convinced about my cycle. If it decides to revert back to 28 days, then my OV dates would have been last weekend, which would coincide with the dark line on the OV kit last Sunday... However, thinking that OV is over the next couple of days, may explain the pains (I guess?!), but not the negative OV test I did today.

I'm really confused... Maybe I'll just keep on BDing every other day and start counting properly when AF finally gets here!! Other weird thing though, used to get those pains the week before AF, but if my cyle is 35 days, it's 18 days before AF gets here. . Not quite sure what's going on.

Keep asking DH if my boobs look bigger, don't think he's got the heart to tell me they don't look any different - bless him....

So, on a lighter note, really noticed this week that coming off the pill it's a lot easier to keep weight off!! I've been pigging out and my jeans fit even better than before - ta dah!!

Did anyone get any of that by the way - get the feeling I'm rambling...... ...

HC - give your DH a slap!! My Dh is exactly the same but I have put it down to 'body envy'

Ooh the covers are coming off - yeah!! Am so glad I don't work Mondays as it is likely to go on till tomorrow!!

Bellie - will have everything crossed for you tomorrow but I am sure that the scan will show everything is good

Hi to everyone else!! Hope you have all had a good weekend. Just about to enjoy my weekly treat of a glass of lager!!

Have had a lovely quiet weekend this weekend. Back at work on Tuesday and then have a mega-busy weekend next weekend so have taken the opportunity to recharge my batteries!

BB - no, it is the full brutishness manliness that is the attraction - you can't imagine Federer just taking you over a table can you?? Oops, just let you in on one of my fantasies there

ChocolateEclair · 06/07/2008 20:48

agreed....it's definitely the brutishness I like! Federer? Table? ...never!

Would you believe my DP is also supporting Federer and has also just gone in the bath!

Some definite body envy going on!
