Hi guys
Here is the lovely new thread. Maybe we might get some newbies as well?!?!?

OP posts:
majormoo · 05/07/2008 17:52

Bellie glad you have no more bleeding and that the midwives seem a caring team.

I really like your names Ceebee. I would quite have liked Sam for a boy but DH not keen. I really like Lottie too whoever mentioned it (losing track a bit)

HC I also really like Matthew. I like a lot of biblical names. I wanted Noah for our DS, but DH put his foot down. This is because our DD is Eve and although he has married into a catholic family, he is a complete atheist-so no way he would agree to another obviously biblical name.

DawnAS · 05/07/2008 18:01

Hey All,

Bellie - it's all sounding good after yesterday, hope things continue. Fab midwives - you must be in a good area !!

majormoo, yep Lottie was my contribution. Just sort of popped into my head!!

A friend of mine called their baby Luca. A really lovely name until you hear the surname "Hailey". Say it fast... See where I'm going with this one? . Soooo cruel!! I nearly married the guy actually - so glad I didn't now!!

So, other than that, no news from this end. Did another OV test today, a line there but definitely not a dark one. Not so convinced that those things work very well.... Oh well, we'll keep BDing every other day through the cycle and keep everything else (but the legs...) crossed!!

It is only TTC#1 anyway so can't get too excited...

Bellie · 05/07/2008 19:12

evening all,

no bleeding, but some brown discharge, and some bad pains right in the pubic area. Still no idea, but monday feels such a long way away.

OOoo there are loads of you on the 2ww arn't there - who is the first to test?

Dawn - lol at the name - it took me a few tries to understand what the issue is but now I get it!!

ChocolateEclair · 05/07/2008 19:36

bellie - sorry you are suffering again. I'm keeping everything crossed for you, I really am. Try to rest as much as you can, Monday will come eventually xx

Dawn - Are you hearing it like eukelele
(sp)?? I can't hear anything else!

My opk is driving me crazy! Feint lines then nothing, then feint line again! Might have to squeeze a quickie in tonight he he!

I love all your name choices, I too love Noah but dp doesn't. Same problem with Rowan. Shall I dare to tell you the names we have pencilled in if we ever have our baby!? Feeling brave tonight obviously!

Well, both DH and I have spent the afternoon in bed...unfortunately doing nothing more than trying to get better!! DH is still very delicate and has a temp. I think it's a virus as my dad has it and also my sis feels like she is coming down with something and we haven't all eaten the same thing...oh well.

Bellie - Monday will come around and I'm sure you'll be fine!!!

HumphreysCorner · 05/07/2008 19:49

Oh crikey ChocEclair, glad you can't really work out the Luca Hailey thing either. No harm in keeping on BDing. Go on, spill the beans on your names.

Bellie-sending more hugs. {{xxx}}

Dawn-my OPK is never as strong as the pic on the packet but it is the only line I get and this does tie in with my temps on FF. Get BDing.

Have had no Tiscali connection for hours again today. GGGRRRHHH!!!

Just watched Dr Who-very good.

Love to all.

bluestar-hope you feel better soon. Don't know what I would do if I was ill at the crucial time. Panic probably!

Evening all

CE - oh do please share your names - you can't tease us.....

Bluestar - sorry you and DH are feeling so poorly and what rotten timing - but you never know, you might both perk up a bit tomorrow and manage to get some BD'ing in.

Bellie - brown discharge sounds more positive - I think it is red blood that you should be more concerned with (I did bleed heavily - red blood - for most of the first 12 weeks with DS and the pg was absolutely fine obviously). Only 2 more sleeps until you can put your mind at rest.

Good luck to all those in the 2ww - I really hope we get at least one BFP this time round

x

ChocolateEclair · 05/07/2008 19:53

OK I will share - but plllllllllllease don't laugh! You are the first people I have told (My Mum asked but I said we hadn't given it any thought!). For a girl Scarlett Olivia or possibly Roxanne (Roxie) Olivia and for a boy Harry Anthony or Jack Anthony. Go on - thoughts????

OP posts:
ceebee74 · 05/07/2008 19:53

Oh and please nobody ruin Dr Who for me (you hear HC ) as me and DH are going to watch it once I have made tea - I am so excited about it!!

Have to admit I'm not getting the 'Luca Hailey' either. Feeling a bit dense, unless it is Ukaleelee (DH's spelling...I have no idea!)

Ah, is Scarlett quite popular then? Obviously I don't know many young kids, and we don't really know many people with children yet!

OP posts:
ceebee74 · 05/07/2008 20:01

CE - agree with MJIM - love the boys names - both are ones I have considered. I prefer Roxie (not keen on Roxanne but do love Roxie) but Scarlett is still very pretty.

MJIM - omg, you only have 13 weeks left - wow!! Time really has flown since you got your BFP hasn't it?

I think it is meant to be ukelele - it took me ages to work it out

ChocolateEclair · 05/07/2008 20:08

Only 13 weeks to go!!!! That's hardly any time is it! I bet it will fly now. How long do you intend to keep working? Sorry also that you have yet another cold! (I have never known one person get so many colds before! Is it pg related? I used to get colds quite a lot when I first started teaching - grrr kids!)

Bluestar / Ally - hope you are both feeling a bit better soon, and are up to some more BDing .

Majormoo - I like Eve. Have not heard the name much before, but it's very sweet. And MJIM would be happy as I guess it can't be shortened !Did you tell us what ds is called?

ceebee - I don't watch doctor who so couldn't spill beans even if I wanted to! I'm watching tennis again!

DawnAS · 05/07/2008 20:08

Hi All,

CE, those names are fantastic - absolutely love Jack!! Used to be old-fashioned but now so ultra-trendy. I was only talking about Scarlet to my DH yesterday - spooky!! Olivia is beautfil aswell. I really need to start thinking about slightly more unusual names - Marissa is starting to sound boring now!!

My nieces are Lucia Grace (with an "s" sounding "c"). I wasn't sure at first but LOVE them now ! And Tianey Ella. My Mum's maiden name was Tierney, so my sister decided to change the spelling around and use the name. She gets called Tia for short. Love those names too!!!

bluestar hope you guys feel better soon. If you BDd within the last couple of days, you may still be OK.

myjobismum what an exciting time you're having!! I keep looking in the next catalogue at all the lovely baby stuff - must stop looking - must stop looking!!

xxx

bluestarlavender · 05/07/2008 20:09

HC - I have to admit to panic mode...but it's not going to help...so I have to go with it and hope we just get better soon...I'm also off on a business trip on Monday for a couple of days

Chocolate Eclair - I really like Jack and Harry Anthony, I love Olivia too, it's one of the names I like, but DH has veto'd.

ChocolateEclair · 05/07/2008 20:16

Marissa is not boring! It's really nice. I teach a delightful girl by that name! Grace was a name I liked for a while. It goes well with Lucia aswell. DP's neice is Ella - she's mint!

Well, at least nobody laughed! We want something a bit unusual but not weird. Just not too common. Struggling to find boys names we both like more than those 2 though! Anthony is my Dad btw and Olive is dp's Grandma!

Bluestar - our first month we were ttc dp was ill with flu for about 2 1/2 weeks. It is quite hard to bear when you just want to get started isn't it! (I thought at the time that ttc had put him off sex and that he was faking the illness!- crazy how us ladies minds work hey!)

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 05/07/2008 20:22

Ooh-Scarlett Olivia and Jack Anthony are lurvely along with the other choices of course.

Don't normally watch Dr Who but Em does. Missed last week so downloaded from BBCI and watched it with her. Realised I couldn't miss part 2. Enjoy!

bluestarlavender · 05/07/2008 20:32

Chocolate Eclair - I really like Anthony and Olivia (not so much Olive). I think it's lovely to have family names. And I like Scarlett, but am not so keen on Roxanne, although Roxie is cute. Maybe this sounds weird, but I picture Scarlett's and Roxanne's as having dark colouring.

DawnAS - Love how your sister converted your mum's maiden name...it's original and it's really pretty.

Suddenly liking the name "Harvey" aswell, don't quite know where that just came from!! My friend's baby is "Finley", although that's very popular now. Another friend has a baby called "Connor". They love Ireland, but they're not Irish !

My Mum's name is "Glynis" - yuck!! She hates it too so she won't mind that I said that...

So, we're still thinking Marissa Ellen (DH's Mum's middle name - passed away when DH was just 15 and I'm gutted to never have met her...) or Ryan Anthony (DH's middle name is Anthony and his Dad's middle name before him too!!) .

Bellie how are you doing now? Feeling any better?

xx

Myjobismum - Maybe I'm reading your mind!!

Let's try "Wilfred" or "Wilberforce"... No? Not keen?

xx
