Hi guys
Here is the lovely new thread. Maybe we might get some newbies as well?!?!?

Hi DawnAS,

Wow, sounds like we are almost exactly in the same boat, apart from the Dian* thingy. I had my IUD taken out last week.

34, got married at the beginning of the year. We'd planned to wait til October to start trying, but couldn't wait!

We're BDing every night and yes DH thinks it's awesome...I give him a month!! hehe.

It would be good to know what you think of the ovulation kits...I'm not bothering for the first couple of months, but also have a pretty long cycle...about 30 - 32 days.

Anyhow, good to see you on the thread!

MJIM - read your post from last night!! your job is super important and I'm glad your DH sees that!! he sounds great!!

Hi to everyone else...I'm trying to catch up with everything...got a bit behind today.

bluestarlavender · 03/07/2008 21:51

Oh,slowly catching up...

Mandy - I also thought I wasn't a MammaMia fan!! I've avoided the stage production...but the trailers for the movie look sooo good! Gonna have to see it!!

Oh and I've been trying that pillow thingy...only using the bed head as a foot rest. Who knows whether it works...but DH thinks it's funny!!

DawnAS · 03/07/2008 21:51

Hi bluestarlavender,

Well, so far I've been a little confused by the ovulation kits.

Mandy even had to put me right about my cycle earlier. I've never really taken any notice of it before, I've just planned my AH date and left it that.

So, I've been using the Ov Kits way too early, hence the confusing readings I guess... Will try them again in the next few days and let you know.

My problem is that with the whole natural, checking your CM thing, it's a bit tricky because mine is fairly heavy all the time, so spotting the change is a bit more tricky... But we'll see...

Flippin eck-'tis -ive again. Why?????????????????????

The 'book' says if you want a boy you have to 'O' first and if you want a girl you 'O' afterwards. Guess what we do.

Going to have to order more OPKs at this rate.

Off to bed as soon as BB has finished so will see you all in the morning.

DawnAS - I think if if nothing happens in the next couple of months I'll definitely give the OV kits a go. Because I've had an IUD I've got a reasonable idea of what's going on with my cycle. I'm pretty sure I OV late in my cycle.

I'm also nightmarishly impatient! but I realise it might not happen straight way!

I'm hoping I get lucky...my mum and sis ae both super fertile...my mum was pregnant with me first month of trying. I just hope I haven't left it a bit late.

detoxdiva · 03/07/2008 22:11

bluestar - we are in the same boat - hope you found the coil removal ok. I am not going to get any opk's just yet - however that may all change if nothing happens pretty quickly!

DawnAS · 03/07/2008 22:11

Bluestarlavendar - I'm in the same boat as you. There's 5 of us - Mum had no problems popping us out (I was the difficult one, breach and with clicky hips and a lazy eye... ), of course now I'm the most beautiful one - HA HA HA. Only joking (about the beautiful bit). Although my elder sister had problems conceiving but one of my younger sisters didn't, so who knows...

Bur we haven't left it too late (saying that with everything crossed....)!! We'll get there.

Well ladies, off to watch Gossip Girl now and go to bed. DH has got a night off since, following all the advice today, doing it every night isn't the way to go!!

Sweet dreams ladies.

bluestarlavender · 03/07/2008 22:26

See you all tomoro!!

Morning everyone,

It's Friday !!

So, I've now heard from another source that it is Ok to BD every night, unless your DH has low sperm-count... Really confused now!

He has suggested he take one of those "Male Fertility" tests at home though and then takes it to the Docs if there's any negative readings.

Have any of your DH's used them? Do they work?

Mandy73 · 04/07/2008 11:25

Morning all!
Just to wish you all a good w/e, hope everyone's feeling summery & happy.
xx

soosy · 04/07/2008 11:44

Lots of chat. I can't keep up with you all. When going for test before fertility treatment, my consultant said every other night is fine. Every night is probably ok but if you are ttc for a more than a few months every night might not be so attractive!

HC PMSL about dressing room, my have you a large house or is that in a major department store?

Hello to everyone hope you have a lovely weekend, off for a second viewing, perhaps I shall not be homeless soon!

Sx

DawnAS · 04/07/2008 12:33

Hi All,

So, time for me to ask another silly question!!

Usually my CM is really heavy, all the time, all through the month (since I was 14.. costs a fortune in pantyliners), but literally the last week or so, has dropped away to nearly nothing. Has anyone had that or has noticed it happen to them?

Also, just to see if I can stop ordering Pantyliners in bulk from Superdrug, when we finally conceive, does CM stop? Or does it carry on when you're PG... I tend to seek out the BOGOF deals in all the supermarkets and have a spare room for them all!!

ChocolateEclair · 04/07/2008 17:27

well it's Friday!

.....and I'm sat here with a large glass of Rose watching Nadal! What more could a girl want!?

Dawn, I'm sure I read that your CM gets more when you are pg, not less. Sorry. We have not tried male fertility tests, but we did get pg once so I guess things are fine.

HC - sorry your opk was -ve today. Mine are all ove the place too. Am going crazy!

BM - did you email me today? I got an empty email of someone I don't know. Was wondering if it was you?

soosy - nice to hear from you . Hope the veiwing goes well. (I think HC was on the dressing table stool rather than in dept store!!)

Mandy - yes I do feel summery today! Hence the Rose. With pizza yummy! How are you today?

Hope John Wayne week is going well for everyone still! I'm knackered but enjoying it a lot!

Girls, I am scared
I have just been to the loo, and had a very diarriahy (sp) movement and also blood.

Should I go to AE on a Fri night or wait to see what will happen.

I have had stomach pains on Wed, and now have a low dull back ache.

DH is on his way home, but really not sure what to do.

DawnAS · 04/07/2008 17:52

Bellie, Give NHS Direct a call aswell. They're really helpful and will tell you whether to go to A&E or to just go to your GP next week. They will ask about your symptoms and will have no doubt heard them before.

Do it now and put your mind at rest. You pay your NI so make use of it!! Keep your chin up hun...

Thanks girls - and thanks bb for coming out of lurking for me!

I have spoken to the epu midwife who has suggested that fri night in ae is not the best place! She suggests resting and has booked me in for a scan at 2.30 on Monday (I am seeing the midwifes for my booking in appointment at 3). If it gets worse either the pain or the bleeding to go to a&e immediately.

Dh will be home in 5 mins so he can take over dd who is being a pickle this afternoon!!

Will keep you all updates

Thanks for the hugs they are making me feel better xx

ChocolateEclair · 04/07/2008 18:28

Oh Bellie - try and stay positive. Massive hugs for you

The lovely nurse in A&E said to us that bleeding is unbelievably common in pregnancy and very often isn't a serious cause for concern. It could be nothing to worry about honey.Resting sounds like a good option. Hope you DH is home soon to give you a cuddle.

Was it brown (old blood) or red(fresh blood)?

Thinking the bestest most positive nice thoughts for you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

majormoo · 04/07/2008 18:57

Bellie I know it is frightening but as the others have said bleeding in early pregnancy is very common. I seem to remember HM2J and MJIM having spotting/bleeding earlier on in their current pregnancies.

Anyway get some rest this weekend. Your DH can look after the kids.

HumphreysCorner · 04/07/2008 19:13

Oh Bellie-how worrying for you and over the weekend too. Do you think the bleeding could be rectal related as in a tiny infection especially if you have the runs. Have you had any cramps? {{hugs}}

Dawn-me and DH rarely get to the point at the same time as he is more speedy than me. Doesn't this only happen in films?

ChocEclair-ooh, a Body Shop party. Yay, get the nibbles in and we will be round.

soosy-good luck with the viewing. DH tried the dressing table stool approach again but it made me laugh so we abandoned it.

Looking forward to Rafa and Federer on Sunday. Heard today that Rafa has particular requirements like one bottle of cold water and one bottle of warm water both lined up and label facing the base line where he is serving. Has his socks pulled up to a height of 15cm and he has to bounce the ball a certain number of times before serving.

Also looking forward to a +-ve OPK

Waves to everyone else-have had no internet connection all day until now. Tiscali

CE - it was pinkish blood so no idea what that means, but there was lots of mucus too.

I know that it is incredibly common, but doesn't stop you panicking does it?

HC - not sure if rectal but don't think so - it is bl**dy typical that it is over a weekend when there is no services around to help. At least the EPU midwife booked me infor a scan on Monday which is something.

Didn't realise Nadal was so picky but I suppose every man has his faults

Going to lie on the sofa until DH brings chips from the chippy for tea!

HumphreysCorner · 04/07/2008 19:30

Bellie-do you still feel PG compared to how you did a week or so ago? I know you said the sickness had eased. Rest lots if you can.

juanitad · 04/07/2008 19:32

Bellie, really sorry that you are worried, Monday must seem like a long time away. I also read that bleeding in early pregnancy is really common, but I can understand that you must still be scared. Will be thinking about you this weekend, and hope everything is ok for you.

Bellie · 04/07/2008 19:34

HC - not really sure if I am honest. Am still completely knackered and also not sleeping at night, but the sickness has definately eased.

Thanks for all your thoughts it really helps just knowing that you are all thinking of me xx

Bellie · 04/07/2008 19:36

Oh meant to say Dawn - you tend to still get discharge when you are pg. The myth/fact/old wives tale is that you get more if you are carrying a girl. So you may still want to get a bulk order done!
