bluestarlavender · 01/07/2008 16:21

Eeeffhhh, I have the longest wait CD-wise.
Oh well.

DetoxDiva - was the removal okay? I had mine done a week ago and it was a bit achy.

juanitad · 01/07/2008 16:37

Hi all,

Scan was good - everything normal, although the sonographer couldn't get a good look at first and told me to go drink more water, so by the time it was over I thought I might pee myself in front of her! Made it to the toilet on time though! Didn't find out the sex, as we want a surprise. So now that's another milestone passed I think I may be sneaking a visit to Mothercare at the weekend to start planning and perhaps shopping!! Only the essentials though, and I will order them to arrive nearer the time, don't think it would feel right to have too much stuff in the house this early.

Hope everyone else is having a lovely day in the sun.

Bellie · 01/07/2008 16:39

Great to hear that everything is fine Juanitad, you are definately doing well!! Yet another milestone - not long till the last one !

Sorry forgot to wish you happy birthday so hope you had a good one!

HumphreysCorner · 01/07/2008 16:40

I'm only 2 days ahead of you bluestar.

detox will be aching after tonight.

Fab news juanitad.

ceebee74 · 01/07/2008 16:45

Juanitad - so glad the scan went well Just think, the next time you see your little beanie will be when it's born!!

HC - I love Chloe, it is definitely on my list of names and I think it does go with your surname tbh.

Bluestar - should probably explain (just in case you hadn't noticed) that those of us on this thread who have got pg are sticking around (hence the stats list) - this thread is like Hotel California, you can never leave

Been to the garage and it looks like a new Mazda2 is going to be affordable - yeah! Only downside is I am going to have to have the basic model and the back seat doesn't split so I need to check the boot is big enough for a double pushchair. Colour options are a very dark grey (which looks incredibly smart but a bit dull and manly) or a pale metallic blue (which is very similar to my current car colour but a bit more feminine) - decisions, decisions!!

x

bluestarlavender · 01/07/2008 16:45

It's awesome news, Juanitad. I'm not sure I'd be able to wait and not know girl or boy...but I know what you mean about it being a nice surprise.

HC - great, we can systom spot together then...

bluestarlavender · 01/07/2008 16:46

That was supposed to be 'symptom' spot

ChocolateEclair · 01/07/2008 17:44

Hi everyone
Juanitad - brilliant news about your scan. i reckon you can start buying stuff in abundance now!
ceebee - hope you get your car! I would prefer blue metallic I think. (I have a mental image of you in car showroom trying to collapse double buggy and stuff in various boots!
bluestar - I would also like a surprise I think. Makes buying stuff harder but worth it I reckon. I also have long cycles 31-33 days and I agree it seems to take forever each month before ov day! Not fair!
Mandy/HC/BMist - as always you lot crack me up! I am not quite into John Wayne territory yet. Today is CD16 but no sign of impending ovulation at all! (I am checking CM hourly!!! LOL!)I have read that it can be 3 weeks after mc so being patient!(honest!) DP has suggested that we could do it just for fun tonight! (forgotten what that's like!)
bellie - 9+5 I'm so but happy for you of course!
waves to MJIM - how is ds? I reckon you shouldn't worry about the nightime nappies thing. My nephew is still wet at night and he is 5.5!!!! Sis isn't too worried even now!

I will add me to the list
HumphreysCorner TTC No3 for 3 cycles CD10
Bellie - 9+5 edd 29 Jan
Ceebee74 - 18+6, EDD 26 Nov (have DS who is 2)
Mandy73 - TCC #1 for 11 cycles, CD 17
BlueStar - TCC #1 for 1st cycle, CD 8
Chestercat TTC#2-1st(serious)cysly CD17
Detoxdiva - TTC #2 CD 21 of 1st month
chocolateeclair - TTC#1 CD16 (MC last month after 4 cycles)

Hi to everyone else BB, soosy etc

majormoo · 01/07/2008 18:16

Hi All
congrats on scan Juanitad

CE I would just go for it anyway. I was positive that I had ovulated late after my early miscarriage but both my scans so far have given me a due date exactly two weeks after the miscarriage so you never know

Gorgoeous day-kids had picnic in the park for dinner

Did anyone watch any Glastonbury coverage? I always want to go whenever I watch. The Verve even did 'Sonnet' my favourite song of theirs. Annoyingly the only time I have been it rained and rained and rained and we got wasted, wasted and more wasted so it was a bit of a tough experience.

HumphreysCorner · 01/07/2008 18:41

ceebee-Troy is a dark metallic grey. So rugged IYKWIM.

detoxdiva · 01/07/2008 18:49

Congrats on the scan juanitad - the next 20 weeks will just fly by!

Bluestar - removal was fine, didn't hurt and no aches as yet. Mind you I didn't find putting it in hurt either (as everyone told me it would) - probably the 8.5lb baby exiting a few months earlier had numbed everything

Chestercat - we're only 4 days apart!

With the crazy long cycles that I have, we're going for the bd every other night approach (dh quite pleased about this )!!

Have a good evening everyone x

HC - what you forget is that Troy is a rugged and manly car anyway so it wouldn't matter what colour he is

HumphreysCorner · 01/07/2008 19:33

Yes, he is my No1 man.

Morning all,
Hope everyone is having a good day.

HC it?s a lovely name.

Sparkletoes, I?m with you on the sticks. They?ve really helped giving us a sense of control. Good luck!

Chestercat is it your back that?s hurt? Sorry to hear it ? at least it was for a good cause, you acrobats! . Well done. I?m so not looking forward to the wait eather.

Detoxdiva, I?m happy the removal went well.

Juanitad, great news about the scan!

Ceebee I like the sound of dark grey. Yummy.

CE I agree with Majormoo ? go for it if you want to! I?ve been like you with the old CM for many months but tried not to this cycle ? I?m bored of over interpreting my ?stuff? and find it can be confusing/misleading when you?re having lots of sex.

Majormoo, picnic in the park sounds great. Not quite Glasto ? better in my book!

Baileymist, I agree the timing can be tricky, have discussed the same thing with DH & did some research. TMI warning: Thing is even the ?dribble? can be pretty potent & full of swimmers ? it just contains less male secretion & less pressure build-up - if that makes sense. Every other day abstinence should be plenty for lots of new healthy swimmers to build up. Or as our (lovely young female) GP said: Having lots of sex regardless of where you think you are in the cycle is great. By lots she meant 3 times/week, every week. But I?m no swimmer expert ? anyone else?

MJIM thanks, hope you & everyone else have a good day too.

Hi Bellie, Bluestar, BB (you ok?) and everybody else. x

ChocolateEclair · 02/07/2008 16:42

Right, no need to bother with individual replies as Mandy seems to have it all covered!!!! LOL!!

Hello to everyone though!

I am going to try and take majormoo's advice about not trying too hard to pinpoint ovulation this month, and just sh*gging anyway! Hope it works!

Actually we are meant to be going to the cinema tonight to see "wanted", anyone been? Shame to miss the Murray match, think I might have to record it so don't tell me!
So who's on the 2ww then? Surely we might be up for some testing next week?

BM - sorry the agnus castus has not agreed with you, it has done wonders for me! I'll gladly take it off your hands if you're sure you don't want it! ([email protected])

no HC - it's the arms not the bum

Evening all

No, it is the arms and the bum

ceebee74 · 02/07/2008 19:53

Bought my car today aswell - yippee!!! Went for the pale blue one (sorry Mandy!) as decided it was much more 'me' than the manly grey one The pushchair only just fitted in the boot so our choice of double buggies is now restricted to ones that are no longer than the one we have now - guess we will be going shopping with a tape measure.
