Hi guys
Here is the lovely new thread. Maybe we might get some newbies as well?!?!?

OP posts:
ceebee74 · 30/06/2008 19:34

Evening all

Welcome to Ally, HappyNewYear and any other newbies that have joined. You are all most welcome and good to see the numbers swelling as the pg ladies were definitely starting to outweigh the TTC ladies!

HC - those photos are gorgeous of your little 2 ladies and you look lovely and slim!

CE - glad your weekend was fantatic - just what you needed and good luck with John Wayne week

MJIM - hope you are having a lovely time with your DH

Officially start my week's holiday tonight as today wouldn't have been a work day anyway - my plan to watch the tennis this week seems to be a poor one as Andy Murray is currently losing - although I do enjoy watching Nadal tennis anyway Have got loads of things planned plus going to use the opportunity whilst DS is at nursery to rest a lot - although DH seems to think that I will be running round after him all week (he is working from home this week)

HappyNewYearFeet06 · 30/06/2008 20:29

Thanks everyone for the Hello's. Its nice to have people I can come and talk to as none of our friends and family know that we are ttc and would like to keep it that way until it happens!

You are all privileged, as long as you keep it secret!

HumphreysCorner · 30/06/2008 21:06

Hey Happy, don't keep this in your watch list-it will be on the threads you are on list permanently.

Have rushed home from WW to find Andy Murray gained yet another set ceebee-fancy you fancying liking Nadal.

Am going to start weeing on my OV sticks tonight so any day now-John Wayne here I come.

Back to the tennis then.......

Oh cyber friends are ok to know. Does that make sense ??! Without sounding rude!

Heartmum2Jamie · 30/06/2008 22:02

Hello ladies!!! I am back from my jollies and impressed to find a new thread and lots of newbies! Unfortunately, I have not had time to catch up as am still half buried under a mountain of washing, plus am being rather distracted by the tennis. What a blardy marvellous game Murray just finished. I was literally on the edge of my seat and baby was obviously feeding off my nervous excitement as he is/was kicking up a storm!

Have been busy with stuff apart from washing since my return as well, ds2 had a paed appt today, which went well. Should hopefully have a date for an oral food challenge for him soon. I also have an appt with fetal medicine tomorrow to have this baby heart scanned. I am sure it is good news, but will update and read through posts properly tomorrow.

Missed you all!

ChocolateEclair · 01/07/2008 07:17

my god - what a match! I don't particularly like murray but I was willing him on! I LOVE nadal though (those arms!) so a bit torn as to who to shout for! I would love to go to wimbledon once in my life - it's a 7 hour drive for us though!!!

HM2J - glad your hols were fab, nightmare washing mountain when you get home though! What does an oral food challenge entail? Hope it goes well. Good luck with foetal heart scan today x

Juanitad - 20 w scan today! Yey! Good luck, I will be thinking of you xxx

Waves to all xxxxxxxxx

Morning ladies.

HM2J - welcome back!! Glad your holiday was fab but back to reality now I guess!

Wow, that tennis match last night was fantastic wasn't it?? I honestly didn't think Andy Murray had it in him to come back like that!! I am definitely going to be supporting Andy Murray in the next round although I will still be appreciating Nadal's arms fine tennis

First day of my holiday and have been to the gym so far. Then going to Asda and then probably going to the garage this afternoon to enquire about a new car - am v excited!!

Mandy73 · 01/07/2008 10:37

Welcome Feet, this place is lovely and chilled out.

HC, hope you are enjoying BD Fest-08 (Summer of Love)? Your girls are gorgeous and you look great! Lovely to have a face to go with the name.

CE, I missed you! Black eye? Wow, sounds energetic.
We can walk thanks. DH looks all toned up (7 BD sessions in 10 days, jeez ). Hoping the swimming troops had some time to reform in between sessions, we tried to be a bit mindful of that. But mainly it was quantity over quality focus . I?m telling you: Getting myself a mini skirt to wear around the house was a stroke of genius.

Bailymist, fingers crossed for you! (The BDing + his interview)

Ceebee, your post made me smile . Enjoy your holidays & car shopping!

HM2J, welcome back from your jollies! I?m happy DS2?s appt went well.

Summery waves to everyone. xx

PS: Is it time to do one of those list thingys agan, where we add our stats? I feel I'm losing track of who is who.

HumphreysCorner · 01/07/2008 11:28

Morning all

Welcome back Heartmum-hope the appointment goes well.

ceebee-happy car hunting. Yay!

juanitad-20 week scan, can't wait to hear how it went.

ChocEclair-how is your BDing going. Can you walk?

Mandy-you two have got some stamina. Had the faintest of lines on my OPK so wondering if I get a +ive tonight early on CD10 meaning I OV on CD11 instead of CD12. Replenished the troops last night and you have to leave them at least 2 days to restock so that would be OK if it is Wednesday. Picked a girls name in the bath this morning.

Hi to majormoo, MJIM, Happy, ruddynorah, Baileymist, ally, funtime, soosy, sparkletoes, roseability, Bellie, Wellies, detoxdiva, chestercat, CoteDAzur, stillwaiting and anyone else I may have missed.

Methinks some of our ladies are either too busy bonking BDing or we have scared them off with our chattiness.

Oh yes, stats:-

HumphreysCorner TTC No3 CD10

chestercat · 01/07/2008 11:32

Congrats to wellies
Had a busy weekend but have hurt my back now was also up at 5.50am with DD mental note need some black out blinds.
Has anyone seen Teeth - watched it last night found it quite funny

bluestarlavender · 01/07/2008 12:07

Afternoon, everyone. Been away over the weekend and now trying to catch up.

Can I ask what might be a very stupid question...?

This is TTC #1 cycle 1 CD 8, I've decided not to bother with temperatures and ov sticks etc and just see what happens over the next couple of months. Is it just a case of BD as often as possible (I'm 'forcing' DH each day at the moment? Or will that reduce chances??

Bellie · 01/07/2008 12:14

wow - welcome to all the new posters - it is great to see so many of you have been inspired by our successes that you want to join us!!

CE hope your black eye is on the mend - or have you had to explain to everyone how you fot it?

Chester - hope your back is on the mend - yes black out blinds sound like a plan

bluestar - some people go for every night from about day 8 - 18, and others go for the everyother night approach as if there is any issue with sperm quality/quantity this gives them time to re-group. It of course depends on how long your cycle is and when you ovulate as to the dates that you are more likely to be fertile, but 8-18 tends to be the general opinion.

Will join the stats

HumphreysCorner TTC No3 CD10

Bellie - 9+5 edd 29 Jan

bluestarlavender · 01/07/2008 12:32

Thanks Bellie. I have quite a long cycle somewhere around 30 - 32 days. I used to think this was great!! Less frequent pain. Now I'm realising this means less cycles and more days having to wait and see...rah!

Still, DH is very amused by my activities and is quite happy with my recent demands!

ceebee74 · 01/07/2008 12:34

Bluestar - I think 'every other day' is preferable but I don't think it makes that much difference tbh. I think you are right to just give it a couple of months of doing whatever you want to see what happens before you start all the technical stuff of temp taking etc - it does kinda take the fun out of it so at least have a couple of months of fun

Chester - I saw the review of Teeth and thought it sounded like the most ridiculous premise for a film ever - presumably it was better than it appeared then?

Mandy - 7 times in 10 days - wow!! Enjoy it whilst you can eh?

Me and DH have just had lunch in the garden - twas lovely to be able to have a nice relaxing lunch without DS running riot everywhere

ceebee74 · 01/07/2008 12:35

Oops sorry meant to say, HC, are you going to share the name or are you keeping it secret?

Mandy73 · 01/07/2008 13:12

TMI warning:
Hee hee yeah. BDing 7 times in 10 days is probably OTT - even counter productive - but last cycle we were kicking ourselves for lacking time & energy to start earlier & finish later, plus giving it perhaps a little too much time to re-group in between & missing the window of opportunity. So wanted to try something else before getting referred next month. I understand BDing 3 times a week, every week, is the ultimate.

Re. Teeth, would love to see it! Sounds ridiculous, tounge-in-cheek and brave all at once. I understand most young-ish female reviewers quite like it + esp the actress. The the men hate it . My best friend incorporated the vagina dentata myth into her MA so she's v excited.

Stats list:

HumphreysCorner TTC No3 CD10
Bellie - 9+5 edd 29 Jan
Ceebee74 - 18+6, EDD 26 Nov (have DS who is 2)
Mandy73 - TCC #1 for 11 cycles, CD 17

bluestarlavender · 01/07/2008 13:47

Hehe!! I think 7 times in 10 days, sounds fine!! And fun!

Am off to see Wanted at the cinema tonight, so will report back.

Also adding to the stats:

HumphreysCorner TTC No3 CD10
Bellie - 9+5 edd 29 Jan
Ceebee74 - 18+6, EDD 26 Nov (have DS who is 2)
Mandy73 - TCC #1 for 11 cycles, CD 17
BlueStar - TCC #1 for 1st cycle, CD 8

Can I also ask another dumb question...?
What do the 9+5 and 18+6 mean??

HumphreysCorner · 01/07/2008 14:04

ceebee-yes, I will share Chloe Amelia. Doesn't go with out Cl starting surname and my friend's DD2 is called Amelia but hey, I like it. Don't know about DH as I haven't consulted him.

HumphreysCorner TTC No3 for 3 cycles CD10
Bellie - 9+5 edd 29 Jan
Ceebee74 - 18+6, EDD 26 Nov (have DS who is 2)
Mandy73 - TCC #1 for 11 cycles, CD 17
BlueStar - TCC #1 for 1st cycle, CD 8

bluestar-the 9+5 is 9 weeks and 5 days PG so 18+6 is 18 weeks and 6 days PG.

bluestarlavender · 01/07/2008 15:21

Cheers for the deciphering, HC! I'll get there, but it's taking some time!

I like Chloe Amelia, it's a sweet pretty name. My DH is a nightmare for names, I'm not allowed to mention any we both like. In someways though I guess it makes sense, my sis and her hubby went through so many names during her PG and ended up with a name never mentioned.

Chestercat, that's great! Let's hand hold, and with ChocolateEclare too I think. How is the old BDing going then? Sorry, it's just I've lost all my inhibitions here How long is your normal cycle/when is AF due?
Are you OPK-ing or temping at all (sorry, you may have mentioned already)
I'm due 12 July (CD 28), probably OVed around CD 15 if OPK is to be trusted but who can really tell.

How old is your DC and was s/he quick TC? x

sparkletoes · 01/07/2008 15:50

I think that is a lovely name HC! I also really like Amelia as a girl's name and as shortened to Millie/Milly.

Bluestar Hello! Welcome, I also have a long cycle time and it does seem to make it difficult to pinpoint that special day for non stop bonking! I think that u r right not to stress yourself too much with the OV sticks thingy and the temp thing was just way too complicated for me. However the sticks did give me a better idea of when to... perhaps do it more often shall we say.. and it turned out we had been giving up in the one week of the month that was best! But once you work that out I would just say keep going every 2 days as prev recommended and most of all try not to stress about it all.

Welcome to all the other newcomers to this thread of happiness and expectation! Everyone who is TTC are you exhausted after your big 'practice' weekend?!

Whatever happens stay happy...

chestercat · 01/07/2008 16:07
