Hi Soosy, I also heard that about bladder control, read that 3.5 years is a more realistic age to start for most boys (and that would just be daytime control). Know friends who TTd their boys much younger than that (during day) but not so sure about night times. Think what you are doing MJIM sounds completely reasonable given that every child is different and it wouldn't be something I would feel bad about. He is still so young.

ceebee74 · 28/06/2008 22:14

Sparkle - your DH must be yummy if he is mistaken for DT! Have just finished watching it and can't actually believe that that is the last we will see of DT Lol at us living parallel lives - I think you might be right - there are a LOT of coincidences!!

Soosy - like MJIM, a mile is not far at all in my mind but I know these things are all relative and it is a long way in London (if that makes sense!) Not sure about the number 11 though - maybe something to do with the footy tomorrow night as I know he is a huge football fan and Spain are obviously in the final.....that man's body is just perfection!!

So, those of you with boys - does this look ok for a 2-year old? I know it says for 3 years plus and I think it would be a good birthday present for DS but wondered what others think.

MJIM - of course your DS can come round anytime I don't think there are any little pieces he can choke on etc.

Am trying to watch the Boyzone concert that was filmed the night I went - Sky one are showing it now - but DH is insisting on watching the film Wimbledon so we are having a bit of a battle over the remote control

sparkletoes · 28/06/2008 23:00

Oh yeah CeeBee my DS would love that!

DH is yummy but certainly no facial resemlances to DT that I can see haha!

juanitad · 29/06/2008 12:55

Morning all......whoops, just realised it is afternooon! I have just dragged myself out of bed, I am trying to get as many weekend long lies as possible before November!! Feeling like a bit of a slob now, but actually it's quite a good feeling!!

Well, I got the new car yesterday - a Skoda Fabia, I really like them (think it is something to do with the ad, the one where they make the cake car!) but also they are meant to be very reliable which is top priority for me right now. I get the car in about 10 days, so v excited!!

MJIM - Scan is 3.30 on Tues, so will post in the evening to let you know how it goes. I have been feeling little tiny movements now for a week or so, it's weird but in a good way!!

Hope everyone else is having lovely weekends. Sounds like there are a few tennis fans among us. I haven't watched much yet, but I too am a big Nadal fan, he is just lovely. That body!!!!

It is my birthday tomorrow.........on a Monday, boo! 31 already - I feel like my life is starting to fly by now!! I think I remember how old everyone else is, but maybe people could remind me, and it'd be good to know how old the newbies are. I'm just a nosy bugger that's all!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

xx

sparkletoes · 29/06/2008 14:20

Fabias are supposed to be very good cars juanitad, it is same body shape as a golf I think and we have one of those.
Good luck with scan and happy birthday for tomorrow! I am a year older than u but stopped counting/caring at 29!!

roseability · 29/06/2008 15:24

Okay CD 23 today. I do seem to have had a keener sense of smell and today I have had strong period like cramps, although no bleeding (but more than usual CM, TMI sorry!). Oh could this be it? Anyone else had such symptoms? I am sure it is too early for AF cramps.

ceebee74 · 29/06/2008 16:16

Afternoon all

Juanitad - my MIL bought a Fabia a couple of months ago and seems pleased with it (although she did ring DH this morning to complain it was eating petrol - turns out that she was moaning because she put £10 worth in and hadn't got very far!! I think she is still stuck in the days when £10 would at least fill half a tank ). Good luck for Tuesday - can't wait to hear all about it - and Happy Birthday for tomorrow

Roseability - can't really help with your symptoms (sorry) as I didn't have any noticeable early symptoms for either of my pg (but, tbh I didn't have straightforward cycles either!). I am sure some of the others will be along to help although it is always quiet at weekends on this thread.

Hi to everyone else

Been to my niece's birthday party this morning - was so cute watching DS 'playing' musical statues and bumps with a bunch of 5-year olds - he didn't have a clue what to do but wasn't half having fun throwing himself round the dance mat

WelliesAndPyjamas · 29/06/2008 16:23

hello everyone
All well here. Peeing like it is going out of fashion!!

my god, there's tons to read!!

I'll start with saying yes to that workbench, ceebee. Fab. And happy b'day juanitad (I'm 32... I think... I've had trouble remembering my age since I turned 30... funny that!!)

Now, back to reading the rest...

HumphreysCorner · 29/06/2008 18:40

good photos HC-hope your DD had a great day

Soosy not sure about the house. A mile does not sound that far from the tube to me at all, but guess it depends how used you are to being near to everything

Ceebee workbench looks great. I am hoping there will be a twist and DT will stay on. Sparkle your husband must be a bit of a looker!

Juanitad good luck on Tuesday. Are you watching the footie tonight?

funtimewincies · 29/06/2008 20:32

i had a much better night last night thanks. and breakfast in bed this morning (although did end up with kids climbing all over me but it is the thought that counts.) We had a lovely day at Box Hill. Had a picnic with some old work mates of mine and their kids.

ally90 · 29/06/2008 21:15

Hello!

I'm ttc now, for a whole 2 weeks about...feel pg already I have a 2.2yr old dd and a dh who keeps asking to 'make babies' not sure if thats sweet or not...I'm hoping I won't be here too long...we concieved dd immediately so part of me is expecting no period...the other part thinks we were lucky the first time! And I'm not a patient person...when I was ttc before I had no idea what to expect and was not keen on babies (tho we wanted our own baby iyswim) then when dd was born I was pretty baby mad...but not until she was born! This time I'm v excited and happy about it all and can't wait tc...

Anyway, hello to everyone and I have my fingers crossed for you all

Mandy73 · 30/06/2008 12:05

Happy Birthday Juanita! xx
Hope you have a lovely day. This (soon-to-be) 35-year old is feeling SO sorry for you - not.

Hi Funtime, Ally and everyone. Hope you have a great new week. I'm limping off to buy more paint. Dreamt I had twin boys - one was totally hairy, like a wolf boy, but v cute. Yes my name is Mandy and I am bonkers.

HumphreysCorner · 30/06/2008 12:53

Afternoon ladeez

Am knackered-think the weekends festivities have caught up with me along with the fact that DH has kept me awake evey night for the past 2-3 weeks with his blasted hayfever. Was sympathetic in the beginning but too tired now. This is 'John Wayne Week' so have got to make an effort-I think Thursday could be the day. Dispatched some men last night to allow fresh troops to rebuild.

Hello and welcome funtime and ally. I'm sorry to hear about your MC's funtime-not nice. Sending lots of positive vibes to you. ally, hope it is as quick this time-was for my friend and SIL.

Happy Birthday juanitad. I am 39 in October. Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

MJIM-your days sound heavenly.

DH said he is coming home for lunch but I would rather he didn't. We fell out this morning and I have just put DD2 down for a nap so was hoping to chill until I have to collect DD1 from school.

Waves to everyone else.

Hi,

Don't know if I am joining in on the right thread!

Myself and hubby have just decided to ttc baby number 4. With the last 3 we have been lucky to concieve within 1-2 mths but am so worried about this time and I don't know why. I have never felt like this before, its seems so silly. Probably cos I am sooo keen for it to happen as have been very broody for sometime now, need to relax!

HumphreysCorner · 30/06/2008 14:41

This is the only right thread to join You are very welcome-wishing you lots of luck and sending you virtual chill out medicine.

Fab baby wiggles Mjob
Welcome to the newbies - so many I have lost the gist of the thread! aaaaagh!
soosy, the house sounds mint. 1 mile is nothing!
mandy, still crazy! Can you walk yet? lol
I've missed loads off but a big hello to you all!!!!!!

We had a great weekend at SIL's. Went for an Indian on Sat night and had lots of wine! They have a 10 yr old ds and I am now sporting a black eye (honest!) from wrestling with him! He had saved up his birthday money to get a Wii, so our arms are now killing from playing tennis on it for hours! Very entertaining, despite me normally hating computer games. Felt like the first stretch of time that we have not thought about either ttc or the mc so it was a refreshing change.

Still no sign of impending ovulation, but have planned a week of fun anyway! I will be joining mandy in john wayne territory soon!

CE xx
