Hi guys
Here is the lovely new thread. Maybe we might get some newbies as well?!?!?

OP posts:
Bellie · 28/06/2008 07:58

Welies are you up yet?? What's the story??

So many posts to catch up with! How fantastic that we were on the home page and welcome to all the new posters that joined us from there! The more the merrier!!

Soosy - thinking of you for your viewings, fingers crossed that you find somewhere today and then you can get your appointment sorted!

HC - sounds like you had a good time yesterday - is it today that all the amily are coming too? Have fun and hope the weather stays nice.

Baileymist, hope you are having a busy weekend
CE - have a good time away and relax and rest ready for the BDing next week

MJIM - you ds sounds sooo sweet. I hope that dd is like that when we get round to telling her. She was a bit freaked by my friends 3 week old the other day when the baby cried as she seemed to think that there should be an off button .

Had a good night in the end last night - dh very kindly came home early so I could have an hours nap before I went out .

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Sorry if I have missed anyone!

WelliesAndPyjamas · 28/06/2008 08:06

WelliesAndPyjamas · 28/06/2008 08:11

Thank you

Still in a bit of shock tbh but thought I'd better get on here and update you girls, especially after I had to disappear yesterday!

Here's sharing out the good luck with everyone>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

juanitad · 28/06/2008 10:09

Congrats WandP, that's fab news......so when are you due then, have you figured it out yet? What a brilliant start to the weekend! I got my BFP when I got home from work on a Friday night, so it put me in the best, most excited mood all weekend!!!

I can't believe how busy it has got on here. I always admire mjim for doing such detailed, personal replies, even now that there are so many of us!!

CE - great to hear you are feeling so positive. How is work at the moment? Are the kids going a bit end of term loopy yet? Ours are, and I am feeling very ready for the holidays, even though there are still 3 weeks left - bet you can't wait either. Hope you have loads of fun this weekend, especially as it is the fun time of the month!!

HM2J/ceebee - do you two still post on the Nov 08 thread? I've kind of given up cos I find it moves so fast I can't keep up and I just lost track!! Maybe when I'm on maternity leave I'll be able to keep up more, as boring work won't get in my way!!

I am quite excited today as I am going to get a new car........this was never planned, but it turns out my current car (which I only bought in November, second hand) is a complete heap of junk and needs nearly £1000 of work doing to it. It just doesn't see, worth it, and I think I will always be worrying that something else will go wrong. So I am trading it in and getting a brand new one - I have never ever owned a brand new car before, and never thought I would, but the peace of mind it would give me to know nothing would go wrong (orif it did it would be under warranty), especially as I'll be carting a baby around, would be great!!

So that's all my news for today.

take care everyone
xx

majormoo · 28/06/2008 11:46

congrats wellies

well cannot even try to keep up with the thread but welcome everyone. Very impressed we made it to the Home page!

Anyone who watched BB I am really glad that Sylvia went. And glad Dennis got kicked out-spitting on someone is disgusting.

So tired today. Students on our road had ANOTHER end of term shouting party in the street til about 4am. Then DS woke at 5.30am. Did get him back to sleep til 6.15am before he came in with us. grrrr. Getting DD to her ballet lesson this morning was a real struggle.

HumphreysCorner · 28/06/2008 12:10

Afternoon all

Busy, busy here in the HC household but have so say to Wellies-fantastico!

Love to all

HC

Mandy73 · 28/06/2008 14:12

Congratulations Wellies!!! That's fantastic, well done both of you. xx

Majormoo, take it easy & rest up if you can. I agree with you on BB.

Thanks CE! How are you doing?

I got the OPK face today (CD 14). DH saw it & was totally intrigued...
TMI warning: Have BDed 5 times in 8 days - to say that we both feel like John Wayne is understatement of the year.
I hope he's still got some swimmers left.

Have a lovely w/e all, it's back to DIY & BDing for me. x

ceebee74 · 28/06/2008 14:31

Wellies - congratulations!!!! I am so pleased for you and what a lovely way to start the weekend

MJIM - everything you say about your DS makes him sound just yummy so you either just tell us the good bits or he is yummy!!

Juanitad - I do still post on the other thread - I try and do it once a day otherwise I just lose complete track but a lot of the daily posts are about a particular subject so you can skim through those if you are not interested in it (for example there were about 15 posts one day on reusable nappies!). I never try and reply to everyone though as it is just impossible!

I am getting a new car too (fingers crossed) so we can do it together What kind are you getting? I am getting a Mazda2 if everything falls into place re finance etc. I have a Ford Ka at the moment - this is my thrd Ka and I love them so much but I need 5 doors now. I am very to be swopping it but needs must and I am getting a brand new car so I can't be too really!

Right better go and wake DS up from his nap and then get comfy to watch Andy 'misery' Murray .

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

detoxdiva · 28/06/2008 19:12

ceebee74 · 28/06/2008 19:59

Hi MJIM - hope you have better luck with ds and his bed wetting soon - maybe he just needs a bit more time until he is 100% ready to be dry at night. Sounds like you are making the right decision to give you all some decent sleep for a while

How old is he? Dd is 2.5 and we've just got her dry during the day but think she's a little way off being dry at night too!

It's quiet here tonight - guess everyone is 'otherwise engaged'!!

Have a great weekend.

Aww - so he is still v young then - I have no experience (as yet!) but perhaps taking the pressure off you both for a while may help. I hope someone on your other thread has some good advice! I'll be sneaking a look later (dh working so no practising in preparation for next week for me tonight ) We're after any advice we can get on the whole toilet training thing too .

evening all

MJIM-your DS is doing well. My DD is nearly 5 and still needs night time nappies. We had another go at it the other week, but every morning the bed is soaked. Will have to try again in a few months.

Just watched Doctor Who with DD for the first time. It was fun, largely because it reminded me of my own childhood watching with my parents. However she did talk the whole way through. Now I am worried I am about to lose David Tennant to regeneration. What with losing Sawyer and Jose, what is a girl supposed to do?

MJIM - I really hope that you get some words of wisdom from your other thread - but they all get there in the end don't they and your DS is still young? Thank you for your kind words about DS - DS is a little angel and tbh, has been incredibly easy to bring up so far (which makes me worried that baby no.2 is going to be a nightmare ) - but he does have a mischievous streak running through him a mile wide which can be hard to know how to deal with at times - he is not naughty, just mischievous ifywim.

Majormoo - we SO have the same taste in men - DT....yummy! Am just about to watch Dr Who now that the tennis has finished.

soosy · 28/06/2008 21:23

Congrats Wellies .

MJIM, DB is 3yrs 5 months and has been dry during the day for over a year. He is still in nappies at night and is rarely dry when I go in as he wakes early and pees in his nappy rather than go to the loo! (Sometimes I wish I could do that too.) If I wake him he is usually dry. But night waking usually means wet nappy too. Anyway what I am trying to say very badly is that I have heard that Night bladder control is a hormone thing and sometimes it doesn't kick in til they are about three. Plus doctors don't consider bedwetting a problem til 7. So don't worry.

Ceebee watching tennis too, forgive my ignorance but what is the 11 on his back! He is beautiful though!

My god Juanita scan on tues, time seems to be going very fast.

HC glad to hear you are having a fun time this weekend

Bellie, hope you are well.

Hello sparkletoes and detoxdiva!

Mandy John Wayne eat your heart out......or perhaps I have been married too long! Just another 24 hours to go.

Busy day saw a rental we liked, just have to negotiate the price, we also saw a house that I liked but DH thinks is too rural it is about a mile from the tube station into London, but there are no shops or a pub in the village, but obviously there is a town by the tube. Would it be mad to move there? it is a really sweet house. I was v positive and now DH has made me feel unsure .

DB is really pleased we are not househunting tomorrow and has asked to play all day, except DH wants to shop. (methinks he might have to go on his own).

Love to everyone

Sx

soosy · 28/06/2008 21:24

Oh CE sorry I missed you hope you are ok and have a fab weekend away. S x

sparkletoes · 28/06/2008 21:29

Yes good luck with that MJIM, am dreading that stage of my DS development...

Ceebee my DS even sounds like your DS! Do you think we are living parallel lives!! Also some kids on our street asked DH if he was DT!! Can't see too much of resemblance tho except both are tall, dark, slim and Scottish! haha
