charliesmum, nandos, beakas, sugr, cornflower, poppy, becky and everyone else who miscarried in may/june 2008....

We have all been very brave together and supported eachother. For those of us that are ready, it may be time to support eachother again as we return to TTC. Lets hold hands, remember our loss and give a nod to the future as we endeavour to procreate and............

SHAG!!

As promised, a thread to stay in touch. Will also see you on the MC avengers thread.

Hi monkey my DD was born on 1st March but she was due on 18th Feb (ouch!) she was huge cos she was so late - 9lb 12 1/2 ! (ouch again).

Sorry to hear about your mc too, yes you assume the second one will be the same as the first one and it's such a shock. I was desperate to try again so was disappointed when af came yesterday (as i thought i'd ov again) but i guess in a good way it means i can be back 'on the horse' as they say in 14 days!!

How long have you been trying for number 2?

monkeybumsmum · 30/06/2008 12:36

Ooohh ow Heeby! That must've hurt!

Not been trying long for no 2, although already obsessed with getting pregnant... With my mc'd pregnancy I fell pg the first month we were 'trying', which surprised us as it took 10 months with DS. We only did the deed once too, so I was amazed! I only hope that it happens that quickly again. AF due around now(ish) and have indigestion which I got when I was first pg this year. Think it's probably all to do with everything being all over the place though. Have a sneaking suspicion (sp?) that AF is defo about to arrive...

Weird re your AF happening so soon after the last one. Just shows how much our bodies are out of kilter after mc

How's everyone else today?

BeckyBendyLegs · 30/06/2008 16:47

Hello

I'm sitting here watching Bod on DVD with the DSs and waiting for a large PDF file to download (for work). I've just done my bi-monthly clean of the house. Does that make me really scuzzy? I bet most people do it more often but I just don't have time (excuses excuses). I do hoover around more often than twice a month but don't do a big clean very offten.

BTW DS 1 was 9 lbs 13 3/4 oz so I know all about getting large objects out of small holes! A friend of mine's first baby, a girl, was 12 lbs. Now that is big!

nandos · 30/06/2008 17:03

hey everyone ..
feverish nandos here
not feeling so good
having fever, flu, sore throat since friday night
been in bed whole day these couple of days and weepy too due to being so ill.
hope you ladies are well and i will keep in touch when im much better soon
take care

BeckyBendyLegs · 30/06/2008 17:53

Oh poor you Nandos not nice having flu. Take good care of yourself.

Heebychick · 30/06/2008 19:58

Poor you having flu, in this lovely sunny weather too! yuk!

monkey like you we fell the first time with this one too, so this will only be our second month of trying (give or take the weird weeks in between) when i started spotting 2 days ago i thought i might have gotten pg straight after the mc but guess not.

Has anyone been watching glastonbury?

mummy2olivia · 30/06/2008 20:46

Nandos, take care hun- I prescribe lots of sleep and fluids.

God- you've all been chatty!!

I've been watching glasto and getting choked up cos I love the vereve and am desperate to see them

Am making LOADS of mistakes at work just lately- my minds not on it. I'm thinking about holidays and clouds and butterflies. Am sure period is due cos my head always go like this when I'm due on. I normally have a 26 day cycle and am bout there now but no feelings like its gonna come. And not even sure I have ov'd- have had loads of jellyfish being washed ashore but no o pain. Havent a clue. Although prob wouldnt feel o pain cos have had a bad back for a few weeks. Dunno. dunno. dunno. Also no sore boobs. Which always means period is on its way. Think I have had an annovulatory cycle and have got to sit it out.

Anyone watching big bro?????????

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 30/06/2008 21:00

I'm watching BB right now (last night's on the channel four website as I missed it). Katria is having a fit about something.

DH and I have just done the deed. We're trying to do it every other or perhaps every third night! Romantic eh? So this is second since my AF finished.

My cycle is all over the place. I feel as if I have just ov'd but my AF only finished on Saturday! Huh????

Better get back to BB. They are talking about modelling now.

mummy2olivia · 30/06/2008 21:08

Oh yeah- lisa thinks she has had loads of people tell her she could be a model!! ha ha!!

OP posts:
monkeybumsmum · 30/06/2008 21:09

Got to be quick as am off to bed but just wanted to say hi

Can somebody please tell me why Dennis left BB? Have had PIL's staying for almost two wks now, and haven't watched any tv apart from bloody football, and one episode of Eastenders. Is killing me...
Anything else exciting happen in BB?

Nandos, hope you feel better very, very soon you poor thing. Have lots of honey and lemon drinks...

Night night!

mummy2olivia · 30/06/2008 21:21

Basically, he spat in mohammeds face. The full story is on channel4.com and digitalspy.com in all the gory details. Its pretty blood boiling so had better not get started!!

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 30/06/2008 22:29

Big rows last night (last night's episode which I've just finished watching) with Katrea crying. DH has recorded tonight's episode for me which I will watch tomorrow. Night night zzzz.

BeckyBendyLegs · 01/07/2008 15:08

My AF seems to have started, again. I had an AF end last week, finished on Saturday and now I am bleeding again (just started five mins ago). Has anyone else experienced such weirdness since their MC? The weird thing is that I was just walked around the house and I felt dampness and it was just like when my MC started all those weeks ago now and the memories came flooding back. I checked it out and indeed it was blood. This is really odd.

monkeybumsmum · 01/07/2008 15:55

That does sound odd Becky. I wonder what's going on? Do you think it could have anything to do with ov'ing? Maybe you should ask your doctor...

oh my god at Dennis spitting in Mohammeds face. Will go and check out channel4.com. I can't believe I've missed so much!

Hhhhmmm probably shouldn't be saying this, but am wondering if I'm pg. Not sure when AF is due as not sure when I ov'd, but I have the same heavy feeling in my tummy as I had when I was pg before. Boobs are sore and my stomach's a bit churning. DH convinced I am. I even had a dream the other night that I was, and I was so happy in my dream. Think a few more panicky feelings might come to the surface if I was pg in RL though! Have done a couple of tests, but BFN's. Just wish I knew what was going on!

BeckyBendyLegs · 01/07/2008 17:49

Who knows what's going on! My body is just not mine at the moment... second port of call after mumsnet is my mum. I'll ring her. Then I'll ring doctors if I am still worried.

Oooh maybe you are going to be the first pg one! Exciting stuff. (Your stomach is probably churning with excitement / nerves though!). I felt a bit sick this morning and I thought 'oooh maybe' but now I am bleeding again I'm thinking 'errr maybe not!'

nandos · 01/07/2008 19:30

hey ladies..
feeling slightly better today after a routine of sleeping, eating, sleeping and eating
MBM, u might be pregnant! what CD are u at today? BFN maybe due to too early perhaps..
Becky, thats what happened to me as well. just 2 days after AF ended, it started again but disappeared the next day.

M2olivia, how r u?
am still having flu but no fever now which is good..but might be out this month as the fever might have fried my eggs and the swimmers too

mummy2olivia · 01/07/2008 20:04

OOOOHHHHH Bum- I have everything crossed!!

I'm ok, thanks nandos, my body totally isnt my own right now so am happily ignorant to all things ttc....its a really nice feeling actually!!

Have had a horrible thought- we need to graduate together. What if you all go and leave me on my own here???? As much as I want you all to get pg, I dont wanna be alone!!

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 01/07/2008 20:09

Wouldn't it be great if we could all get pregnant at the same time (as we were before!). Not sure how we'd manage that in real life though...sounds like all our bodies are out of sink / cinq at the moment anyway.

DH wants to watch an old Torchwood this evening so no rumpy pumpy for me (well two nights in a row would be quite adventorous for us anyway) but means that I'll have to get him to record Big Brother and watch it tomorrow. He hates BB and won't even stay in the same room as me when it is on (although he must read the news about it as he is the one who tells me who has been thrown out / spat on / etc).

monkeybumsmum · 01/07/2008 21:16

OMG Becky, if only... That would be perfect if we all did get pg at the same time - you never know!

m2o, I think it's safe to say that any of us on this thread, if we were lucky enough to get pg again, would have major reservations about being on any other thread (ie antenatal). I certainly would stay here - you lot have got me through the last couple of months (am welling up here)(Oh shit, now I can add 'overly emotional' to my list of symptoms!). We are here to stay! Hooray!

nandos, glad you're feeling a bit brighter, hope you continue to get better... Am on CD25, but think I ov'd early. Still not really sure though - anything could be going on and I wouldn't be surprised!

Suddenly realised today that we are going to stay with DH's parents on Saturday until the following weekend. How am I going to cope without a computer? I have a serious MN addiction .

BeckyBendyLegs · 02/07/2008 08:22

I feel the same way. I went on the Dec 08 thread too soon (ie as soon as I had a blue line!!). There's just no way I'm going to make the same mistake so should I get lucky soon (if only) I'm staying here until after the 12 weeks scan.

We'll miss you MBM! That's a whole week without MN! I'm just as bad though; I can't cope with a weekend away!

monkeybumsmum · 02/07/2008 09:28

I'll miss you too!!! Argh! The thought of not being able to chat fills me with dread!!!!

Did you phone your mum Becky? What did she say? Are you going to get in touch with the doctor?

Ok, have now absolutely convinced myself that I am pg . Woke up at half five this morning and couldn't get back to sleep for an hour. Boobs are so sore it's ridiculous. Gagged when I brushed my teeth. OH MY GOD. Dying to do another test but dreading it at the same time. Will get shock if I'm not! Mind you, there's still a little voice of reason at the back of my head saying I'm not... Will have to wait and see.

How's everyone else this morning?

Just off shopping now for puddings for a bbq tonight - yum!

nandos · 02/07/2008 10:37

who what? where? whyy you leaving us MBM??
oh we gonna miss you MBM..
plss do a test and let us know before you go this weekend
btw my flu is killing me! hate it hate it hate it and i feel like vomiting when my tummy is empty!

BeckyBendyLegs · 02/07/2008 13:05

Ooooh MBM sounds very promising! When is your AF due?

I did phone my mum and she said not to worry unless it continues, which it hasn't. It wasn't huge amounts. It was just strange as my cycles are usually clockwork.

Me and the DSs went by double decker bus this morning to Woodstock and had great fun browsing the touristy shops and having a cup of coffee (me) and a 'kiddie cappachino' (ie frothy warm milk - them) in a cafe. I felt like we were on holiday.

Nandos poor you . I'm sending you get better vibes.

monkeybumsmum · 02/07/2008 15:48

Just did another test and BFN. Will keep testing till I get a BFP... Might be there some time Not sure when AF due, but sometime around now(ish). Last time I didn't get a +ve until 4 days after AF due, and even then it was a v faint line. Am going to be so gutted now if AF does start!

Will probs do another test Saturday morning if no AF by then so will let you know. I have one Clearblue in the house, so am saving it!

Nandos, glad your fever's gone down but sorry you're still feeling poorly I really hope you get better very, very soon - being ill is just horrible! Make sure you gets lots of rest...

Becky, glad it's stopped. Is v strange. Your mum sounds like she knows what she's talking about. I love the idea of a kiddy cappachino, v sweet! Bet they felt v grown up.

Better go, have got 4 friends from the UK staying so should go and entertain them. They bought me Heat magazine, so they can stay as long as they like!!!!! (Looking forward to them going too though, so I can sit down and read it )

BeckyBendyLegs · 02/07/2008 16:05

You could always put the Heat magazine in the loo and read snipets every time you go!

I'm going to make DS2 a potty chart now. He's started to show an interest in doing wees in his potty or the toilet. No interest at all yet in doing poos anywhere else but his nappy yet but it's a start!
