charliesmum, nandos, beakas, sugr, cornflower, poppy, becky and everyone else who miscarried in may/june 2008....

We have all been very brave together and supported eachother. For those of us that are ready, it may be time to support eachother again as we return to TTC. Lets hold hands, remember our loss and give a nod to the future as we endeavour to procreate and............

DH shouting upstairs so must be quick (he's bathing DS) but what is word challenge? I love Facebook!

Will write more later x

monkeybumsmum · 08/12/2008 18:34

I meant shouting at me from upstairs, not that he's just randomly shouting

BeckyBendyLegs · 08/12/2008 18:35

I'm addicted to Facebook. DS1 even said once recently 'oh no, you're not on Facebook again mummy!'

poppy27 · 08/12/2008 21:27

I msut be an old fart - have never used facebook . A lot of my guides use Bebo is there much difference? Really feel old asking that

M2O boaking at the thought of you swallowing sick - that must have been horrific Glad your tummy is healing, hope your infection clears up soon. Nothing is ever easy is it!!!

Have only seen my neighbours in the passing and I think they are making an effort for xmas for their dd which must be so hard for them. Will go up again soon as I had offered them ds's old nursery clothes for their dd and she starts in jan. I had been keeping them for a sibling but feel now is the time for a clear ot. If a sibling ever comes I will be so delighted I won't care about buying things all over again .

I have been using the ov sticks again this month and for the first time ever on sat I got a true posv where the pink line was actually darker than the control one. Yest they were equal. That has never shown like that before.

Also had a good laugh on sat as my friend and I went to a panto (Aladdin) as she got free tickets. It was hilarious and afterwards we even made it out for a burger before getting the train home in time for the Xfactor!!!

monkeybumsmum · 08/12/2008 21:55

Haven't had time to do much else this eve other than fly around like a blue arsed fly, so sorry for being crap and not replying to recent posts, will try to tomorrow! Just wanted to say that I'll be thinking of you tomorrow Becky... Lots of love xxx

nandos · 09/12/2008 19:48

No facebook here, only friendster and that too i visit once in a blue moon
becky, hope you are ok..

sorry for not posting often but am feeling sicker by the day might visit the epu tmr morn for the scan but dh needs to know by tonight cos' he needs to drive me there and i havent told him abt my plans
also need to discuss abt the prenatal tablets im taking..its making me sick every time i take it as well as even looking at it lying around in my bedroom..
am nervous as hell cos' of the scan..not sure if beany is going to be viable or not..i really hope it will be..

monkeybumsmum · 09/12/2008 20:56

How many weeks are you now Nandos? Try not to worry too much about the tablets - if you can't take them you can't take them. Have you been taking them for the last few months? When I was expecting ds I must've taken a total of about 2 between 6 and 15 weeks - and ds turned out fine. Plus, I had stopped taking them before we conceived him because I felt that they were reminding me every day that we were ttc and I was obsessed enough already! I have my fingers crossed for you that all is okay tomorrow if you do go for a scan. I think the sickness is a really good sign though, although it's horrible for you I know . I promise you it'll be worth it in the end! Please let us know how you get on - am at home all day tomorrow, so will be checking MN regularly!

Becky How are you doing? Have you managed to keep busy today? Really hope you're okay. I know it's probably the wrong time to bring this up, but I ordered a necklace the other day, to remember my lost little ones. Unfortunately it's not going to be here in time for Sunday, which is when the first one this year would have been due, but I'm pretty sure I'll wear it most of the time when it gets here. The link is here for when you feel ready to have a look (I got the third one down). It made me sob .

M2O that is gross! But needs must! Bet the woman sitting next to you didn't realise what a lucky escape she'd had . Poor you re infection, can nothing go smoothly? At least you're managing to move about a bit. Hope you're sleeping lots too??? Are you on painkillers?
Re molar pregnancy, yes apparently me having HG should have set alarm bells ringing in gynae's head. Not surprising it didn't though considering she didn't even really know what a molar pregnancy was . My hCG level was through the roof! GP was shocked by the advice she gave to me when I got my results, and said she (GP) even thought it might've been a MP. (MIL told her how sick I was). Have been advised NEVER to go back to gynae, so am seeing a new one (a man this time ) in Jan for an internal scan to check things are okay. Think he knows more about PM's.

Hi Poppy You are so funny re feeling old! Are you a guide leader person? That's great!!! Don't know anything about ov sticks. but that sounds good news that you had a strong positive. Fingers crossed hey.
Your poor neighbours - isn't it amazing how people are strong enough to get through times like that. They must be so very grateful to have their dd.
Aladdin sounds fab! Bet it was brill. A Saturday night out (with requisite burger ), AND home in time for X Factor. Perfect!

Well, I can't believe that another month has gone by - AF has just arrived again! Seems like only yesterday I had my last one! Pains are slowly getting worse, so think tomorrow might be tough. Is a right pain coz I need to make a veggie lasagne and a choc cake in the morning, have a friend coming over in the afternoon, and then am out in the evening. What crap timing . Will dose myself up on painkillers I think and try not to throw up! Great...

Right, am off to write the rest of the Christmas cards now, urgh. It never ends does it.

Lots of love xxx

mummy2olivia · 09/12/2008 21:10

MBM- you always write lovely massive posts!! and if I want a summary of whats going on, you pick up on everything! Even if I read every post, there is always something I miss and you see. you're so clever!

OP posts:
mummy2olivia · 09/12/2008 21:11

And that necklace is beautiful- absolutely stunning

OP posts:
monkeybumsmum · 09/12/2008 21:20

Thanks M2O on both counts xxx

nandos · 09/12/2008 22:54

MBM, the necklaces/lockets are beautiful and it made me very sad tbh especially the tiny footprints and the one that is engraved with '9 weeks' i cant put myself to buy it even if i want it..
btw am around 6 1/2 nearly 7wks i think according to the due date calc. will find out after the scan hopefully.
re the prenatal pill, i am forcing myself with it cos' one of my friend had an abortion, well she called it miscarriage till i found out the real cause.. she was 19wks pregnant when the scan showed that the child was severely handicapped and had a hole in the spine(sorry i forgot the scientific term) and her baby cant walk/talk when he/she is born so she terminated it. her doc later gave her folic acid when she started ttc again to prevent the same problem and so she is well with 3 healthy kids now.
thats why am really scared of myself being in her footsteps so am trying my best to take it every alternate days..

well am off to bed soon..
good nite

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/12/2008 08:33

Hi guys, mbm I love the necklace. That's such a lovely thing to have.

Yesterday was strange. DH didn't even mention it and I'm torn between being really, really mad with him for either a) forgetting, or b) being too big a coward for not saying anything in case I blart all over the place in response. Men can be such emotional cripples sometimes. I was very busy yesterday with work and perhaps that was the best thing in a way. It was just an ordinary day really. It kind of made me realise that this baby was just not meant to be for whatever reason. I can't argue with nature.

Nandos poor you re. sickness. I do feel for you.

mbm I love your long posts! They make me smile with a Christmas hat on I wish I had time to write more right now but it is time to take DS1 to school.... there just aren't enough hours in the day.

I've caught the family snots so am feeling all coldy and blaaaaaa today.

Poppy yeah at your positive! Hope you've had some jiggy jig!

nandos · 10/12/2008 11:33

Hi ladies,
sorry for the long post but here it goes..i just came back from the epu it was too rush and i forgot to tell abt the tablets but anywayz baby measured 6+3 wks instead of 6+5 wks (calc from a 28day cycle)due to my cycle which is 31 days so she said not to worry too much.
also got a tiny flicker of heartbeat and i just giggled in the room when she turned the monitor am so happy its alright for now cos' my tummy was flat today and got worried in the morn.
poppy, good luck with your bding and fingers crossed for a BFP
MBM and becky, hope you guys are ok..

monkeybumsmum · 10/12/2008 11:44

Oh Nandos that is great news!!!! I am thrilled to bits for you! Do you feel a little more relaxed now you've seen the heartbeat? I must say it's sounding good so far - it's on the early side to be seeing a heartbeat (normally is between 6+4 and 7 weeks) so it sounds as if you have a strong and healthy bean in there! Long may it continue!

Re the tablets - I didn't mean to imply they weren't important . That's just awful about your friend. When I was having ds I could not swallow them, just like you, but if I could have done I would have. What about eating some Marmite if you can't get them down? It's quite high in folic acid. Also you could try just folic acid tablets as they're smaller. Everything else your bean will take from you...

Hello to everyone else, and thanks Becky, glad my posts make you smile!

Have got a choccy cake in the oven and have to go and have a shower before the buzzer goes. Am feeling a bit sick from eating too much cake mixture .

Have a good day all!

poppy27 · 10/12/2008 11:58

Nandos that is fantastic news I am so happy for you and agree with MBM that is is very good to have seen a hb at such an early stage. Hope that makes you feel a little more relaxed now.

MBM the necklace you bought is beautiful - what a lovely website with lovely thoughtful things - brought a tear to my eye. Hope your choccy cake is delicious you are very organised, I just buy mine .

Becky was thinking about you yesterday and glad to hear you are ok. Sometimes being so busy you don't have time to dwell really is good . Don't think my dh is very good at remembering dates either - must be a guy thing.

M2O hope you are still recovering well and getting pampered by dh.

I have been trying to make a huge effort with bdng but it is hard when there is so much to do and it just seems left to the women to organise xmas . Spontanaity has left the building .

nandos · 10/12/2008 13:05

Thx for the info MBM, i might drop by at the pharmacy later or something n get just the folic acid.. you're so funny by saying 'Everything else your bean will take from you' hope it wont suck the life out of me cos' am skinny atm and hope to gain a bit of weight soon. dont really want unwanted comments like' omg you're 10 weeks and you're still so skinny' or stuff like that..might make me upset tbh.
re chocolate cake, hmm yummy i love choco cakes, ice-cream n everything that incl choco
poppy, im a bit surprised as well to see the hb so early in pregnancy and yes its a bit assuring re bding, dont worry too much abt it, i didnt do much last time either, maybe 6-8 times in the whole month(sorry tmi) and after found out im preg, i became a virgin so its now like 3wks being a virgin girl lol
at least for you spontanety left the building,as for me, my mojo left the planet earth

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/12/2008 16:42

I feel like a lemsip advert today. Sniff, sniffle, sneeze.

Nandos your post really made me smile it must have been really lovely to see the heartbeat. That's a special moment. I'll never forget seeing the heartbeats of my DSs on the ultrasound screen. Now they are two great lumps sitting here watching Ivor the Engine on DVD and saying 'mummmyyyyy I want more chocolate!'

monkeybumsmum · 11/12/2008 20:17

A very rushed hi from me!!! Nandos how are you feeling? Hope you're not too sick...

Becky Poor you. I know just how you feel. Have had this cold now for two weeks, and I think I should buy share in Lemsips the way I'm getting through them Hope you feel better soon.

M2O and Poppy How are you both? Re choccy cake, am just plain stupid for offering to make it! It was rather yummy though so am very proud of myself . Am about to go and have a big slice now (in between wrapping a million xmas pressies, packing to go back to the UK for the weekend, and also tidying and unpacking the stuff my Dad has just brought over bless him). Oh my god where does the time go?

Have to fly to continue with the above mentioned tasks, am away til Sunday now so probs won't be on again now until Sunday evening. Have a good weekend all, and Happy X Factor Final Day for Saturday, yay!!!!!!!

xxx

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/12/2008 20:24
