charliesmum, nandos, beakas, sugr, cornflower, poppy, becky and everyone else who miscarried in may/june 2008....

We have all been very brave together and supported eachother. For those of us that are ready, it may be time to support eachother again as we return to TTC. Lets hold hands, remember our loss and give a nod to the future as we endeavour to procreate and............

Just checking in quickly before I go and watch X Factor - have been banned from watching the first 25 mins as it clashes with the rugby . Some people's priorities...........

Hope you're all okay?

Poppy Well done for going to see your neighbours, that must've been really nervewracking and upsetting for you. I'm sure it will have been appreciated. How are you doing? I hope you're okay. I can't stop thinking about your neighbours and what they've been going through - think the fact they have another DC is probably what's getting them through. One of my close friends died suddenly when she was 20, her parents were distraught, but she had a younger brother, and I think that's the only thing that made them carry on. I know she was older than your neighbours little one, but I'm sure to lose a child at any age must be the most awful thing that could ever happen. The fact that parents who go through that are still breathing every day, let alone functioning, is a miracle. I would curl up and die.

Becky Maybe it's worth asking your doctor about ov'ing? When it was taking a while to concieve ds my GP gave me two blood tests during my cycle to see if I had ov'd. Maybe they could do that with you? If you're not then maybe they could try to help?

Oops.........(some time later).....

Nandos Glad you're back safely. Did you have a sleep? Hope you're not too exhausted. How are you feeling pg wise?

M20 How are you doing? Hope all is okay with you...

Am now off to bed - DH 'allowed' me to watch my program, but am coming down with a cold and feeling awful so am not going to last till the results show... S'pose I will have to wait til the repeat tomorrow! Does anyone else watch it, or am I the only saddo

Love to all, and have a great rest of weekend x

mummy2olivia · 30/11/2008 12:04

BeckyBendyLegs · 30/11/2008 14:46

Hello all
I went to a party last night, at the house of the friend who came here last weekend and made me watch X-factor for 4 hours (btw I do like X-factor but haven't seen it all this year so didn't know anyone but enjoyed it last weekend - at least for the first two hours!!! ). I had a good time at this party last night but her husband go soooo drunk and my friend threw a big strop with him (he had been drinking Sambuca (not sure of spl) and larger). The atmosphere was really tense at the end and I was sleeping over night so felt a bit in the way. At 4am the husband came into my room and said 'where's the bed gone?' I told him to go back to bed. I asked him about it this morning and he was mortified and had no memory of it! I think he got lost on his way back from the loo! He he he. Not often a strange man comes unannounced into my bedroom! Good job we're all good friends

Loads and loads of luck for Wed m2o! Will send you lots of good luck vibes. What time?

DS2 and I are sitting here listening to Christmassy music. Trying really hard to get into the spirit. I would have been sitting here eight days from my due date in a parallel universe... need to stop thinking like that.

poppy27 · 01/12/2008 15:12

M20 congrats on getting an earlier date for your lap at least you will have recovered in time for xmas now will be thinking of you on wed.

nandos hope your gp appt goes ok. So glad you are still feeling pg that really has been the best bit of news I have heard recently.

MBS I have to confess to being a big x factor fan even ds likes it now. Missed some of it on Sat as we went out for a meal for our wed anniv but seen some of the results show. I was gutted that Ruth got put out as I loved her.

becky lol at your friends dh he must have been sooo embarrassed!

Have to apologise for not being on more but we went to the funeral on Thur and it nearly finished me off. They had a screen up with photo's of the baby from birth onwards being shown. She was absolutely beautiful. They wanted to do this so that people who had not had the chance to see her as she had spent 3 months in hosp would get a chance to see that she had been a lovely wee girl and not just lying ill for 3 months. When they brought the wee white coffin in it was beyond sad. The dad was so brave and managed to stand up and talk about her life and how they were so glad they had had her and had had a chance to get to know her personality. They also said that having her had changed them all as a family and that in her short life she had shown such resilience that they wanted to honout her by doing the same thing now. They also said they didn't want pity as it had been a pleasure being her parents. The mum had also written a beautiful poem which was printed on the back of the sheet. The minister said that in this age of babies being born to people who don't want them that although she had only lived briefly had known nothing but love from her parents etc. It was very moving. They were very dignified but they just looked drained. They also had a collection for the charity house that they stayed in while she was in hosp which is much better than flowers.

Today I was at hosp seeing my rheumatologist and she decided that as I need more of the clotting bloods done re mc's and the other hosp gave me march that I could have them done there today and she would send them on. Got taken by nurse who took 3 vials then put on plaster then dr came through asnd said she wanted 4 more done nurse tried to put needle back in same hole, didn't work, went to other arm got 1 vial wiggled it for ages and couldn't get any more blood apologising all the time for the bruising that would occur , then went back to original arm/hole put needle in and finally got last vials done. Arms are now aching and have massive bruises lovely. Anyway better go as it is time to collect ds from school!

Take care.

nandos · 01/12/2008 17:50

hey poopy, glad to see u back ..

mummy2olivia · 03/12/2008 18:52

Hello guys- I survived!!

Am very sore and tired and sicky but the news appeared to be good- from what me and the nurse could decipher of the notes!! I was determined that I was gonna sit there and wait til the consultant was out of surgery to get my results but felt so sick and tired I just wanted to get home so made do with the nurses half cut translation!! THINK I am all clear round my tubes but have a few spots of mild endo here and there. The nurse said she has it and its really weird- she sees people with insides totally messed up by it in no pain at all and people with a few dots of it who are in agony- it has no relation at all. So hopefully that explains the pain. Have had a good clear out with dye and am reasting lots.

Thanks for your good wishes guys xxxxx

Oh I'm so glad that it went well . I was thinking of you today. That's great that it's good news. Now, on my orders you are to do nothing (ooohhh except eat chocolate (once you've stopped feeling sick ) and watch lots of telly)! Am sure DH is looking after you well - you make sure you rest lots...

How long will you be off work?

Do you have an appt with the consultant to discuss the results?

Lots of love to everyone else - have to go as am feeling pooey this evening. Think my cold is turning into sinusitis - they normally do with me, but I was convinced that with the help of Lemsips I was fighting it off. We'll see what the morning brings!

poppy27 · 03/12/2008 23:18

Hi M2O glad the op wasn't too bad and the that the results seem quite promising - hopefully you will get more detail from the consultant soon. I second the advice of much resting, recuperating and when able much chocolate you definately deserve it.

MBS hope you feel better soon. Sinusitus is vile and not what is needed at this busy time of the yr.

I am relieved now as have ordered ds's Wii online which means one less shop to endure . Santa eat your heart out!!!

ps nandos how did you get on with gp appt? Hope it was ok.

nandos · 04/12/2008 18:44

M2O, glad you're ok now everythings clear so u can get going with ttc.. agree with poppy, take lots of rest..
MBM, aww poor you. hope that lemsip helps. i stopped taking that long time back cos' it taste yucks
The gp appt was ok. i finished explaining everything within 5 mins or so and she gave me an early scan appt letter if i want to go to the epu soon.
am not feeling well in the morning nowadays, especially after brushing feel like gagging everytime i tried to spit ..sorry tmi.. other than that im eating normally and feeling a bit tired throughout the day.
just a qn for all of you..when did you start having your MS?
i just hope it wont be hellish for me cos' i never had like this b4.

poppy27 · 04/12/2008 20:06

Hi nandos I remember the gagging when brushing teeth - it is vile!!

With ds I had ms from about 6 weeks till about 19wks. It was awful. At one stage DH went out and bought me a pressie - a yellow basin to keep with me so I didn't have to try and rush to the bathroom very thoughtful . TBH I had to get tabs from the dr as it got so bad but only took them if it was absolutely unbearable.

One thing that sticks in my mind is that one night I just suddenly fancied a fried egg roll, so I made one and it was so good I had another and it truly tasted like the finest thing I had ever eaten - and I kept it down.

Hope you feel better soon. What about trying the travel sickness wrist bands you can get as they seem to help some people.

monkeybumsmum · 04/12/2008 20:48

Hi guys - sorry to be on a downer but have just been told by a friend that she is pregnant. Am stood here crying . I know it's awful but I just feel so jealous. She's 13 weeks along, and that's what I feel so envious of - that she's got to that point when I couldn't. I thought I was doing okay after my mc's, but maybe I'm not. Think it might be the fact that the first ones due date is approaching too.

Sorry.... Feel bad about saying that when you are pg Nandos, but believe me when I say I am so happy for you. I'm sure you can relate to wanting to get to 13 weeks. I just needed to get it out - went to speak to DH and he's so absorbed in the tv that he wasn't listening. Plus he told me that he already knew and was sorry he didn't tell me .

Anyway, have calmed down a bit now...

Nandos I had ms with ds and my last pregnancy from about 5 1/2 weeks. At 6 1/2 weeks it increased to HG, but hopefully that won't happen to you! Poppy I can beat you on the basin front I had an upstairs and a downstairs one - the downstairs one used to come with me out and about too. Morning sickness is a very good sign that all is well, it's great that you're starting to feel sick Nandos, hope it doesn't get too bad though. I used to find that eating (and trying to keep down) a little bit of food, and often, would make me feel a bit better. Dry toast is good, and plain soup. I used to try to sleep after eating in an attempt not to throw up!

M2O How are you feeling? Hope you're not too sore?

Becky How are you doing?

Thanks for the 'get better' wishes - am still feeling the same as yesterday, so am off to have another early night. Love to all x

monkeybumsmum · 04/12/2008 20:49

PS Just noticed the festive smileys, so just had to make use of them xxx

nandos · 05/12/2008 13:01

Hi ladiess..
i talked to my dh yesterday abt MS and he suggested getting a bucket for me lol and i told him abt you guys who got a basin during pregnancy
MBM, am not upset with what you said but i feel sad too that my friends(all of you MN) are not pregnant same time as me. pls dont cry and be strong cos' i will pray that you all get your babies soon
got a bad headache today ..wish it would go away..

take care all

monkeybumsmum · 05/12/2008 13:30

Thanks Nandos . I hope with all my heart that we all get what we want soon.
Sorry to hear you have a headache, but think it's quite normal with all those pg hormones racing around. Are you drinking enough? How's the sickness today?

Becky Am thinking of you with your due date coming up - it would've been the 9th wouldn't it? What are you going to do that day? Sending you a big tight .

Poppy Hope you're okay. How are your neighbours doing? Have you been round to see them again?

M2O Really hope you're okay...

BeckyBendyLegs · 05/12/2008 17:43

Hi everyone

I'm here and making mince pies. I'm not the best person to talk about MS because with DS1 I had about half an hour feeling a bit sick in French Connection during my lunch break at work when I was about 8 weeks and that was it. With the first MC I felt a bit more sick on about two occassions. With DS2 I felt a bit sick in the evening but that was it. With the last MC I felt more sick in the evening but never once threw up at all during any of my pregnancies. I can see you all sending me faces.

MBM thanks for the squeeze. It is the 9th. When was your due date for Dec? And everyone else when were yours? I have no plans. I'm just in denial at the moment. But that's how I handle difficult situations: I just work harder, run around more (easy to do at this time of year) and keep myself busy and try not to sit and dwell. If I sit I will cry.

M2O hope you are ok too . And you Poppy. Lol at the present from your DH. Very practical!

nandos · 05/12/2008 23:34

yeah becky by the time i finished reading those lines i am so of you lol
my due date has just passed. supposed to be 1st of dec approx..
hope you will be ok on your date becky, n MBM n poppy too..

we had moroccan food just now n was going to take prenatal tablet when i had to vomit it out. cant seems to swallow it..
didnt feel sick today, just the normal sore n itchy bbs (n nipples) lol..

am off to bed soon..goodnite

mummy2olivia · 08/12/2008 09:57

Hi guys!! We were near the bottom- dont you lot get as slack as me!!

Hope everyone is well- Nandos, I really feel for you with the MS. With olivia, I had MS EVERYDAY til the day I gave birth- I was sick on the bus, in mcdonalds (in front of everyone) and once I even had to swallow my own vomit (please still be my friends!!!![samile]) because the only place I could fling it was at the woman next to me- so had to swallow it. it is sooooooo grim feeling sick all the time.

MBM- I was thinking the other day about when you had severe MS and ended up in hospital- did they tell you that you had that because of the pregancy being partial molar? Read something somewhere about molar pregnancys causing incredibly high HCG levels and wondered if that is why you had HG? just a thought.

Becky- how are things with you? Thinking of you on your due date tomorrow (((((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))))))

Poppy- hope you are ok? How are your neighbours?

Well, am still a bit sore. My tummy is very bruised and stitches are sore but can get about ok. Have got a nasty water infection from the catheter so on antibiotics for that but am getting there. Waiting for phone call this afternoon from the consultant to say we are ok to carry on with TTC.

OP posts:
mummy2olivia · 08/12/2008 09:59

also- are any of you on Facebook? Do you play word challenge? I am totally addicted!! Have even been dreaming about it

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 08/12/2008 11:01

I am on Facebook. I haven't played word challenge though. I used to play scrabulous before they scrapped it. I've found so many strange and old friends on Facebook.

Feel AF coming on. Due Thursday. In a way I'm not as gutted as normal because at least if my AF comes I can drink and eat merrily at Christmas...

m2o poor you having to swallow your sick! It's so weird isn't it how some people are affected much, much worse than others. Makes me realise how totally lucky I was with MS.
