Lots of BFP's on this thread please ladies

OP posts:
Diege · 01/06/2008 21:23

Hi LBOX! Yes, wise words there..I also get EWM for the day or two before (I think) I ovulate.
Cals, think current research recommends evrry other day, though I can see how it would be tempting to goff every day that you see EWM, and it certainly wouldn't do any harm I'd have thought! Lol at pre-seed and your dh..does he know what you have to do with it?? ...not the sexiest..

Moosma · 01/06/2008 21:24

I'm pretty sure that slippery is as good sperm-friendly-wise as EW but not sure what it means OV-day-wise. Perhaps we can track Teuch down and she can help?

Squack, if you're determined going to test tomorrow I will too, then we can both get too early BFNs together

Diege · 01/06/2008 21:25

Hi Esme! Sounds like we have identical cycles , and agree, think it's the very short LPs that can cause problems??

Diege · 01/06/2008 21:28

Yah Moos, test tomorrow with Squack!!! I might too, just to double confirm my bfn of Saturday .

EsmeWeatherwax · 01/06/2008 21:29

Diege, what do you have to do with preseed? or are we back to water pistols and turkey basters again?

Diege · 01/06/2008 21:31

sort of, yes!! Squirt it up yourself with a syringe -like thing I think? For some reason I am getting LL in my mind when I type this - think you have tried it LL? (sorry if not! )

calsworld · 01/06/2008 21:40

Hi guys, momentary lapse of concentration there whilst watching kitchen nightmares

To be honest - I have NO clue when I OV...I've had tummy pains for the last two days...but think I'm a bit constipated which would explain that. Haven't had this much pain at this point in my cycle in last couple of months - but didn't have EWCM either. Although I do have endometriosis and the longer it takes me to get a BFP, the more painful its going to get so it could be that too....

FFS, I haven't got a clue whats going on!!!

The application may be messy and un-romantic - DH just likes the squelching

We did say there was no such thing as TMI didn't we

calsworld · 01/06/2008 21:41

LL posted earlier that it comes in a bottle with a nozzle which you insert and squeeze!

EsmeWeatherwax · 01/06/2008 21:44

Lol...deffo not the sexiest option then.

Took me too long to catch up, erkle...dh is demanding I get ready for bed now if gof-ing is to happen tonight, he's up early tomorrow morning. Started getting the aforementioned ewcm today, so have to take him up on it...

Night night ladies, speak to you all tomorrow! Enjoy any furtive and sticky activities this evening...

calsworld · 01/06/2008 21:59

I'm being chased upstairs too (not literally, sadly...)

I'm back at work tomorrow so will try and pop in but first day back after a weeks holiday so not expecting an easy ride.

Night ladies, x

lastboxoftampons · 01/06/2008 22:03

Yes, preseed comes in a tube that is basically a self applicator. You shake it down to the application end, twist the top off, insert and squeeze the bulb and it gets up there. Funny, Cal - we didn't like the 'squelching' twas icky

Hoges · 01/06/2008 22:07

Hello All! Seems like a v busy thread, but hoping you have room for one more. I am 36 (37 this year) and ttc #2 as of last night! Already have 1 DD, born March 2005. Has taken quite a long time to decide we are ready for another, but this is it ... here we go!!!

kookykid · 01/06/2008 22:26

Welcome Hoges!
Cals - would it be worth investing in some OPKs to check when you're OVing. I used Clearblue, but you can get cheap cheap ones on Ebay. I also have 30/31 day cycle and didn't get a positive unitl CD17.
Off to bed as got my interview tomorrow. Keep fingers crossed for me??
Will let you know how I get on if I don't post in the morning.
Happy GOFing everyone! Night!

Diege · 01/06/2008 22:36

Off to bed myself now but wanted to say hi and welcome to Hoges - you will be made very welcome here and have lots of laughs too .
Good luck for tomorrow Kooky - will be keeping everything crossed for you
Cals, my dh also quite likes the old squelching thong

Diege · 01/06/2008 22:37

Meant thing not thong . There's a Freudian slip if ever I saw one (akin to groin/grin)..

GiraffeYoga · 01/06/2008 23:14

Hi All

Wanted to say a quick hi. Cant believe how fast this thread moves on!

Kayz- lovely scan pic, so so excited for you!

PlayingTheWaitingGame- great to hear there are others down in surrey/hampshire

Please can someone tell me what GOF stands for? - I guess what it actually means but wondered what the GOF were for...

Hope everyone has good monday mornings... I myself will be in office at 7am.

Squack · 02/06/2008 07:35

-ve for me.
Thought I could see a line but think it's probably an evap. It is still ridiculously early though.

My temp was up a bit this morning so that's good news.

Moos did you test?

kayzisexpecting · 02/06/2008 07:36

Morning!

Still got a stupid headache so I'm going to make an appointment with the GP.

Gyoga, GOF stands for good old fuck. Baby dancing just wasn't right for us.

We need a new thread soon. Any ideas?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/06/2008 08:13

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Another hour and all will be back to normal (i.e. DS1 at school, me wirelessly connected to MN!!) Haven't caught up properly (again!) but glad your scan went well Kay, lovely little pic as well

I see from last few posts there has been testing going on, any good news? And there are some newbies hello to you all

I have the midwives tomorrow for booking in, can't remember what time I suppose I should ring and find out! Wish I didn't have to go at all, would be quite fine being left to myself until I need them IYKWIM? Although I am hoping that it is my favourite one from last time, would be good to catch up with her!

Right, had better go and carry on getting ready, had to use that minty shower gel again today, was very careful where I put it!! LOL

See you in a bit

tinkhasabunintheoven · 02/06/2008 08:24

hi esme good that you are up and running again
hi nat midwive tom ye
go careful with shower gel lol

Moosma · 02/06/2008 08:46

Just a quick one to say I got a BFN, will catch up later. I'm not though as it is still silly-early.

Diege · 02/06/2008 08:59

Morning Bad luck Moos and Squack, although as you say it is really, really early, so I still have high hopes!
Last day 'off' from work today, which is a pain as we have 2 weeks half term here, and dds will have to go to childminders tomorrow and wednesday. Off to see Horton hears a Hoo (oh joy!) at 11, but will try and pop in and out today.
Feeling very pre-menstrual here - hoping for an early af so that June cycle comes around quicker!

GiraffeYoga · 02/06/2008 09:01

LOL GOF is much much better than BD!

Even DH will like that one!
Bye for now- GY.

kayzisexpecting · 02/06/2008 09:09

Sorry Moos and Squack.

Moos, I was looking at your pictures last night as I was intriged(sp) by your DH. My DH came and looked at what I was doing and he realised what I was thinking too. You are married to Ewan Mcgregor!!!!!!!! I think your DH looks so like him.

I've just washed up and soaked myself. I splashed water everywhere.

imaginarybluelines · 02/06/2008 09:12

Morning everyone, thought I would pop in and say Hi. It's hard to keep up with all the chatting! I need to get on here a bit more!
ooh - I'm 29 BTW... (I never said and I see they go on the TTC and WTC list!!)
So I am just getting my head around all this TTC business. There is so much more to it then I could have thought! Think we were very lucky conceiving DD so easily before.
So I think i have made a bit of mistake already by GOF'ing on too many early days (losing stamina somewhat now and only only 9 days post period. (Sorry can't remember abbrviation!) Guess need to do it every day from now on too?
Does anyone know if any time of day is supposed to be better than othera? Are you supposed to GOF when you see EWSM or if you have done it already earlier in the day is that ok?
And I have a FR sitting in my medicine cabinet ready for the end of the month... but it says you can use it 6 or 7 (can't remember) days before period due. Is that advisable? Does it really work that early?
So many questions. sorry! Bit of a novice though!
