Yeah, was total news to me. My partner was actually quite relieved to find out he “worked”, so wants to make sure he has good quality sperm now as well.

This is one of the links I read www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/health/facts-and-myths-male-fertility-tight-underwear-hot-tubs-marijuana-and-more

This is how we felt with our CP - it’s absolutely heartbreaking but positive signs of “something”

From my research, the one thing that is really hard to improve is having zero sperm - so at least you’ve got something to work with, and men can improve MASSIVELY after 3 months.

FlyHighSky72 · 02/06/2025 20:29

@ChaE05you might be right! I’ll keep tracking and see what happens around CD16/17 - I think what’s confused me is the ‘higher’ 0.45 one on CD11 because last cycle that’s what I got a few days before my peak so I thought - yay, it’s happening and then nothing…!

thanks @NavigatingLife@Iris2024@ThisZippyViewer

I don’t @EmPeEfbecause my sleep is a bit pants (last night I didn’t fall asleep until about 2am and got up at 6.30am) and I think it’d just stress me out about my sleeping (sleep has always been pants, it goes through phases) - sorry for your loss and interesting info about the heat - I knew it impacted it but didn’t realise it was that stark!

@FlyHighSky72 oh I totally empathise. I was painting my hallway all night till 10am this morning! My sleep is a joke. No matter what time I got up, if I go past midnight I can go for 24+ hours. The rest of the time I have fatigue and fall asleep 4 hours after waking up 😂 There’s apparently science in the fact some of us evolved to stay up and be our most productive at night to guard everyone else.

The one bit of routine I have is getting up for the school run briefly, and I’ve normally been at rest by then even if I haven’t been asleep. So count that as okay.

any recommendations for cheap pregnancy test strips? I’ve seen premom ones on Amazon, are they worth it? I don’t want to buy shite. But also don’t want to fork out £10 for 2 FRERs again!

Tbh I've bought quite a few cheap ones. You'd be surprised which ones even some clear blue digital are 25mlu and some are 10mlu so then more sensitive. Honestly. To save the heartache of looking at cheap faint dented lines. I'm using up my cheap amazon's and then only using frers or the early detection digital clear blue one. There are maybe 1 or two more I'd use but can't remember names of them.
I've only had slightly better accuracy with the amazon cheap WIDE strip 10mlu ones. But again a lot of them come with dents or lines already there before urine on and stuff. X

So my chemical bleeding lasted only two days and was really light. I’m hoping that means it’s all done, dusted and I’m onto a new cycle where I’ll actually OV.

Been super weird and sad coming to terms with losing it when it was such a miracle to get that positive digital 18 hours after a stark white BFN. Then within 36 hours it was gone again. It’s made me reluctant to test early at all because what’s the point. If I hadn’t tested, I’d never have known, and not spent the last few days crying. I think my autism is making it harder for me to come to terms with logically on top of emotionally.

Considering myself CD4 and just going to have loads of sex this month. HOWEVER! I learnt something about sperm I never knew before! I knew men produced it all day long, but I had no idea it takes 3 months for the sperm to develop. So whatever they ejaculate has been developing for up to 90 days being affected by their lifestyle, not what they produced that morning. And for my partner that means his hot baths he takes for psoriasis.

I discovered even just 20 minutes of exposure to high temperatures once a week for men is enough to use hot baths as birth control! So no more laptop on his lap and he needs to keep his balls out of the water 😅 Apparently the heat can fracture the DNA and be a contributing factor to chemical pregnancies. So we may actually be screwed for the next few months as his current sperm has been exposed.

It’s grief and it’s totally ok and normal to feel like that xx

and yes re sperm! Same goes for impact of drinking, smoking, diet - it’s a few months cycle to “replace”. That’s why usually if a poor semen analysis they recommend a retest in 3 months

@bigbird1234 Ive got an ultrasound on Thursday and no idea what to expect? What do they check for?

Depends how it’s been arranged. Generally they’re looking at your endometrium/lining and ovaries, how many follicles, any abnormalities. I had a private one at one of the Window to the Womb type places and they asked if I wanted to see or know anything particular too. They might pick up things like cysts, polyps, fibrosis etc.

they’re not painful but I slightly needed to pee during mine and it was quite uncomfortable! So def go to the loo just before.

Fighting between the logic of “it happens often, at least it got that far, no reason you can’t get pregnant”, with the emotional side that I’d already started looking forward to everything. Coupled with the impatience there’s now nothing to do for 2-3 weeks 😅 I’m distracting myself by painting the interior of the house white lol.

So frustrating when each cycle takes soooooo long when you’re in it. thats a great distraction 😍
I’m back at work today (teacher) so I’ll be very glad for the many many distractions from TTC 😂

Good idea re distraction! I’m 6DPO and doing a DIY project this week around work to keep busy

Ec2808 · 03/06/2025 08:06

well CD17 and still no surge..no clue what is going on here 😥

peanutForever · 03/06/2025 08:40

the 3month thing is also for eggs everyone, they take 90 days to mature xxx

ChaE05 · 03/06/2025 08:40

Girls I've woken up this morning with such a bad mindset. 5dpo and just feel like I'm never going to get pregnant 😪 just feel so sad. I know it's so ridiculous as I wouldn't have even implanted yet but I'm like nah not pregnant. I hate this tww x

Yes have read this too. So fixing diet and less exposure to toxins etc looks after those eggs. X

ChaE05 · 03/06/2025 08:59

@EmPeEfyour feelings are completely and utterly valid. No matter how far gone, that was your baby. I always think, my baby boy started like that. It's heartbreaking and you need to feel those emotions. Alot of us have been there. I'm still hurting a few months later. We are all here for you x

EmPeEf · 03/06/2025 09:10

Thank you. I don’t know if it makes sense but I feel so “off” physically. Nauseous and like I’ve been unwell or something. And so bloated it’s crazy. Can your body really change this much if you were only 4 weeks when you miscarried? I feel kind of terrible.

Iris2024 · 03/06/2025 09:42

@bigbird1234 Thank you, can’t wait to get in there now and see what’s happening.

@Muddysocks1 Thank you lovely, the letter I’ve received has said I’m not allowed to go to toilet half hour before the appointment so think I will struggle 🤣 I’m 6DPO today too. When do you plan on testing?

Did anybody else struggle to get into this thread today? They’ve removed the numbers for the pages on the top of the screen and now got to scroll all the way through so I’m getting lost 🤣

littlefox90 · 03/06/2025 10:01

My BBT normally plumets at 10dpo and then AF arrives 11 or 12dpo. Today is 10dpo and my bbt has jumped up 🤞🤞🤞

BFN yesterday though but was only 9dpo and was the evening 😂

peanutForever · 03/06/2025 10:13

Where is my AFFFFF!?!?!?? 😭 cant it just come and go so i can start trying again lol

jelliebean9 · 03/06/2025 10:16

Told DH this morning. 13dpo, period due tomorrow. So I assume that makes it 4 weeks tomorrow? Or is it 28 days since your last period is when you turn 4 weeks? I get muddled. Anyway, I’ve got one CB weeks test left and then I’m stopping testing and leaving it to fate. Plenty of you have advised again carrying on testing past 4 weeks. So I’m going to go with that advice. Praying for you all this month. I’ll try and keep up to date with who’s testing and when 🩷🩷

The numbers are missing for me too! Also feeling frustrated like everyone else as to how long the TWW feels. I am about 3dpo today. I'm back to work but finding it difficult to feel motivated and get on with things. I've also just been feeling so tired, mentally not physically. I was glad it was bank holiday here yesterday because I just lay in bed with my dog & rotted!

BeNavyLion · 03/06/2025 10:26

Hi all - though i'd join this thread as out for May. 3 DPO. Already going insane and can't think about anything else.
I promised myself I wouldn't do this again but seems my brain has other plans 😅
Who else is struggling not to obsess?

Those lines are so beautiful 😍✨ congratulations again!

im 9dpo today… BFN this morning, know it’s early just trying to wish a shadow of a line into existence! Will try again tonight and tomorrow and probably obsessively over next few days haha 🫣

I started the obsession at 9dpo, literally the line that am with FMU was as embarrassingly white as you’d expect for testing that early. But it changed by the evening to a shadow. I still cannot believe it changes that quickly when there really is a bean sticking in there. The obsessive testing has massively helped me feel in control this month after the lines disappearing last month. So if you need to obsess a little for your own sanity- go ahead 🤣 praying for this cycle for you! Xx
