Sure! In reality I eat ‘low sugar’ as it’s impossible to avoid sugar entirely - it’s in bread etc. but I don’t eat any sweets or desserts, biscuits, definitely no cereal etc. I avoid sugary drinks, and I avoid sauces that are sweet or described as sticky (like teriyaki, or honey glazed stuff). I also avoid fruit. You may find that you don’t need to avoid fruit, some people are ok with fructose but at the time I wanted no sugar so that it wouldn’t interfere with my medication and it has been so helpful. I have been doing it for 4 months now.
I was never much of a sweet lover though and I never drank fizzy drinks so it wasn’t a big loss for me. After a few weeks I stopped caring and didn’t have the cravings either, even though I was a fruit fiend.
all of this doesn’t mean I eat healthy or avoid carbs. I eat chips, gravy, burgers, chicken nuggets, lasagne, pasta, meat, eggs, bacon etc. I just usually make the pasta sauce myself without sugar; low sugar ketchup or opt for mayo etc.
at the beginning because I didn’t know what to eat I just ate a lot of chips with cheese and gravy. Delicious 😂
