TWW at 40 yrs old

A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

Im joining if okay, I’m 41 so think this group will be good for me

I have a DD6 where we caught on first cycle when I was 34. Myself and DP tried for 6 months and stopped June 2024 as we are away to Greece in July and didn’t want to take a young baby or be heavily pregnant so this is first month TTC again. I’m 5DPO today and have mixed emotions again of anxiety but also excitement that could catch.

Hi everyone ! So I am 1dpo ! Anyone around the same. I am so busy with work from 6-10dpo so hoping that is going to be a great distraction ! Although they are going to be very high stress days which worries me 😭

Tested again this morning 11dpo, still nothing. Period is due Tuesday if my cycles are still as regular as they used to be

I am 8DPO today too! I tested from Wednesday! BFN for me but to be fair its still so early! So i still have everything crossed that I maybe will get my BFP next week. I keep thinking my boobs are sore! And i am so tired but with a 2 year old im always tired anyway so thats nothing new!

I’m very confused.
I’m 9dpo. Confirmed with digital clear blue advanced opk and also cheapie. Didn’t bother with temping this month. Didn’t have ewcm, but I had all the other usual feelings in my sides etc.
I tested bfn yesterday and today on premom cheap pregnancy tests. Today I’ve had an abundance of ewcm, the ideal fertile kind of ewcm that I would have loved to have seen 9 days ago along with my positive opks! I’ve never had that after ovulation before and I don’t have my usual sore boobs pre period (yet, anyway). So I took another clear blue advanced ovulation test and it’s negative.
Any thoughts?

I don’t want to get your hopes up, but in both my pregnancies I’ve had something similar to ewcm before I got my positive. I didn’t test until 14 dpo though, so no idea if I would have tested positive at 9. Regardless, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. X

@Fletchasketch thank you for your reply. Do you remember having any other symptoms? Usually my boobs would be killing me at this stage but I don’t want go get my hopes up either. I had a boozy evening planned tonight if I was bfn but the ewcm has thrown me. I didn’t get any sharp pains that people talk about with implantation etc, never had a positive before so I don’t really know what I’m doing 🥲

Very few symptoms at all, it felt just like I was starting my period. The one thing that was different was that my resting heart rate went up and kept on going up until I got my positive. I’m not sure I’d necessarily recommend getting a Fitbit or similar as I’ve driven myself mad second guessing what it meant, but if you’ve already got one on the other hand….

@Fletchasketch I do have one but it hasn’t been worn in about a month so I don’t have a pattern to go off.
Took an early clear blue digital just now and that’s negative also.

I'm out for a while ladies. AF is due tomorrow and DH was in A&E yesterday, a CT scan found something on his liver they need to investigate further. We are awaiting a call for an MRI today or tomorrow. (After a 14hr A&E trip yesterday, I'm not holding my breath for anything quick). All the best to the rest of you. Sending hugs and good wishes xx

I don't remember any particular symptoms each time I have been pregnant. It is really hard to differentiate between pregnancy and PMS. For me, it depended on many things happening in other areas of my life/health also. I think also, each woman is different. I know it is so hard but it is probably best to wait it out. Fingers crossed for you.

I’m due tomorrow as well @Lulubo1hopefully it doesn’t appear for either of us. Hope you get answers about your DH quickly and it’s nothing to worry about

I’m not sure what’s going on with me this cycle…to be fair I don’t think I ever do! Haha
I’m on day 19 and last cycle ovulated later, around day 24/25. My ovulation tests are showing negative but I have a lot of EWCM and have for the past 48 hours. I would have expected some movement on the tests. Anyway we will do our best and see what happens!

No bfp…. But also no period which if my cycle is still as regular as it used to be was due today

I am trying so hard not to test - My Flow app says i am due my period in 3 days so i am going to try and wait to see if that arrives and go from there.

I'm due tomorrow and have not tested. I am going to wait and see .. I am feeling a bit nauseous and have a bit of pain in my lower back so I am not confident, as it all seems a bit like PMS.

So it turns out that my pregnancy tests are 2 years out of date!! They must have been the ones left over from when i was testing in early 2022! So i have ordered some more which are due to come tomorrow!!
