TWW at 40 yrs old

A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

Sigh. Period arrived today, just when I’d started to let myself think about it being a positive. Shocker. I got the letter re ivf referral yesterday anyway, more waiting but at least we’re on the list I guess

I got my positive ovulation test on Wednesday - so im now in the dreaded 2 week wait - i have a stinking cough which is keeping me up all night so I feel shocking! I am going to try and hold off testing until easter weekend ! With my son i tested at 9DPO and saw a line :/

I started testing on day 8 on Wednesday and got an immediate static smiley….. also had EWCM so we got on with it and now in the TWW! I think I used to ovulate around day 10 but cycles all over the place now, last cycle 55 days. If no luck this month will start testing the day my period ends I think!

How long do you have to wait for your appointment @CointreauQuaint?

Starting my tww today. I went from blank to static so not much warning. There was no ewcm this month either so I’m not overly hopeful.
We had an appointment at a fertility specialist recently and there’s no apparent reason why we haven’t gotten pregnant yet. I was so focused on the result numbers that I didn’t ask many questions while I was there. She said I had 4 on my left and 8 on my right, would I be right in thinking that she was referring to AFC here and that this number is 12 (adding 4 and 8 together?) I was only focused on what the AMH number was (I’m new to everything as you may have guessed!) when I should have paid more attention to the full picture.

I’m 9dpo and bfn so far

I’m only 1DPO today and have a feeling this next two weeks is goi g to drag 🥴🥴 Good Luck to all for this cycle!

It seems like there is a handful of us that will be testing around the same time! Im going to try my hardest to hold out until 14 days but thats easier said than done

Thats a week tomorrow for me ! With my son i had a feint line at 9dpo but i want to try hold off !

I’ve got a few symptoms…… but not sure how much related to general hormone fluctuations. Hadn’t had a proper period for about 9 years before last month (pregnancy and then being on mini pill). We definitely did enough “trying” to be successful

Yeah we have done enough trying to cover the whole fertile window, I had no mucus though but we will see, i dont recall any the last time i got pregnant.

I’m peeing a ridiculous amount, bit constipated. Hoping it’s not just wishful thinking

9dpo, no lines and I don't feel anything. With DD I felt sick and got my bfp at 8dpo (granted it was twins at first but lost one). I am thinking this month might be out. I might wait a few more days and test again. I honestly hate the TWW

I hate it too! 9dpo is still pretty early! When is your period due? My app says to test in 12 days!! There is no way i will be able to hold off that long xx i think maybe the fact that it was twins might have sped up the symptoms xx

I have a short cycle, so my period is due Mon/Tue next week. I think you are right, so I'll wait a bit longer and test again. Maybe I'll test again on Sunday (saves money too. Haha) x

First month temping and temp has dropped so app says my period is starting and I’m spotting so I’m out!

Ah i am sorry to hear that! I guess there is always hope until it actually comes? How many dpo are you?

I was an absolute loser this morning and tested! Im 7DPO for gods sake! So obviously it was a negative! Why do I do this to myself!

I agree, until your period actually arrives there is still a little bit of hope

Yeah we only had nookie once when we fell pregnant with our last little one! 😆

Did you wow! That was a quick read! I’ve been either busy doing something else or too tired to read once my little one falls asleep or that lights are off and it’s too dark! lol. Should finish it by the end of tonight! Xx
