A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

Good luck @MrBigsCat all sounds positive!

I am testing with clear blue ovulation kit but still just circle - no flashing face… I am on day 11 so I thought I would be ovulating soon??

I had that issue too until I started peeing in a cup and dipping the test strip in, instead of peeing on the strip directly. I also use the clear blue digital. Maybe you could try that instead.

EmberR · 19/05/2025 22:28

Thanks for your advice @Vplop I’ll try that!!

EmberR · 19/05/2025 22:30

@Daisychains9 thank you for sharing your story - sorry to hear you’ve been so unwell and hope you’re better!! Xx

MrBigsCat · 20/05/2025 07:49

@EmberR i use the wondfo ovulation tests from day 9-14 and second morning urine and I’ve always caught my positive around day 11/12 and my temp confirms it too
maybe worth a try if no luck with the clear blue

Bumblebee1984 · 20/05/2025 15:27

Hi can I join, I'm 40 and ttc #3. This is our first proper month of trying although came off the pill beginning April and didn't really prevent that month. I'm currently 4dpo and everyone's favourite time, the tww. I fell pregnant with my son at 37 on cycle 3 but know given my age it could take longer this time.so not expecting anything this month but still hopeful. We go on holiday in 3 weeks though so if not pregnant it means no holiday symptoms and can enjoy a few drinks

VioIetMoon · 20/05/2025 15:39

@EmberR I definitely second using a cup as opposed to dipping in steam.

I use the easy at home sticks and then only use the clear blue closer to ovulation days to double check since they are so expensive.
I also second using second morning urine. I found that best for me as surges can happen any time of the day

EmberR · 20/05/2025 17:07

Thanks for the advice. I DTD with my husband today anyway even though negative OPK! What’s the harm right? Will try testing again tomorrow

EmberR · 20/05/2025 17:07

He thinks I’m going mad with all the testing….

EmberR · 20/05/2025 17:48

This is embarrassing but I have to just say it to hopefully a kind group of women who will understand.

I have emetophobia which is why I put off trying for so long. I felt so sick with my first pregnancy that I was petrified to do it again. And now I’ve left it too late (42) and just thinking I have to try again as I feel so much shame and regret. But now I’m reading all the stats about miscarriage and hoping if im even lucky enough to fall pregnant I don’t have weeks of sickness only to not be successful.

sorry for the over share. It sounds like such a petty problem but it’s life limiting. I’ve tried therapy (many times!) but still scared of being sick. Men are so lucky none of this has to be on their mind…

VioIetMoon · 21/05/2025 17:03

@EmberR bless you . Don't feel embarrassed, completely understandable. I know statistically yes, the risk of miscarriage is higher but just try to remember lots of women still have healthy pregnancies. I have friends 41 ( currently 7 months pregnant) and 44 who just gave birth to a baby so it's definitely still possible to have a healthy pregnancy

EmberR · 28/05/2025 15:51

Hi everyone. Hope you’re well? How’s everyone doing in the TWW? Xx

TheFutureIs · 28/05/2025 16:38

I’m back in the middle of my 2ww, think my cycles are getting back on track, this will be cycle 3 off the pill

CheekyLittleD · 28/05/2025 16:43

I'm on cycle day 19, in hot pursuit of my LH peak. No sign of it this month yet, but I'm not really surprised. Ever since my period finished, I had really sore boobs for about 10 days and lots of watery CM. Definitely not the norm for me.

EmberR · 28/05/2025 16:51

I’m in the TWW, but only managed to DTD twice during my fertile period. I used OPKs but the clear blue one never showed a smile (static or flashing)?! And the boots one showed a clear positive so no idea what that means. It’s so annoying having 0 symptoms and just all I see around are babies and pregnant women? Anyone find that?!

Mouche85 · 28/05/2025 17:18

@EmberR I missed your first message. My sister in law had healthy twins without even trying at 40.

TheFutureIs · 28/05/2025 17:21

Can completely empathise with that @EmberR
I do have my 8 year old, but I’m so keen to have a child with my current partner. He’s the best bonus dad ever and another little one would complete our family

Mouche85 · 28/05/2025 17:21

I'm in the 2ww.periods expected monday/Tuesday.

Husband wanted me to tet this morning and it was a BFN.

I want to wait until next week testing again.

EmPeEf · 28/05/2025 19:49

I’m on CD32. Last cycle was 28. Normally 33-35. No idea when I OV. Just in limbo waiting for something to happen at this point!

Bumblebee1984 · 29/05/2025 07:55

AF arrived this morning as I expected so onto cycle 2 now. Feeling ok though as just few weeks ahead with daughter and partners birthdays and then holiday in 12 days. Hoping the holiday vibes help with next tww

MrBigsCat · 29/05/2025 16:38

I’m having a weird cycle- af arrived at 12dpo which is very unusual
so I’m cd2 here

EmPeEf · 29/05/2025 17:49

Something happened! I was prepared to start a new month, get rid of all the tests I had in the house to seal the deal I was out, had unpredictable cycles, and might not even ovulate cos of my thyroid issues. Then to throw this digital at the wall, but instead it shocked me with a bfp.
Had to go out and get another today to check. Disbelief.
