TWW at 40 yrs old

A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

I am on cycle day 6 too but I have pcos so my cycles are longer - so my "app is saying" 14 days until I ovulate but I am taking Maca Root and Inositol to help regulate! When we tried to conceive our son I took these and my first cycle was a bit all over the place but my second cycle I ovulated on day 14 and fell pregnant! I am 42 though now so that is at the back of my mind worrying that it will make it harder :(

trying sperm meets egg plan this month as we have tried every other day for past 6 months and no success!

How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Do you have any other children?

Oooooo we in the same cycle, my cycles range from 24-28 days but definitely have got shorter lately. I’m 41 now so know how you feel with the worry of it being harder. I’m taking folic acid, omega 3 and 600mg COQ10 a month. What does maca root and inositol help with?

I have 3 children and I’m almost 40
#1 took 2.5 years
#2 took 4 months
#3 took 6 months so 🤷🏼‍♀️
been ttc almost 2 years now

Inositol is something to do with regulating insulin which is a major thing with pcos and then maca root is for hormone imbalance and fertility- im also taking the 7 seas trying for a baby !

Oh wow ! Did you conceive them all naturally?

Yes, I was in my 20s though!

I am on cycle day 8 - so ive started doing my ovulation tests and will have sex every other day until i get a positive ovulation and then i think the 3 days after - just to make sure there are enough swimmers up there!

We are exactly (if my calculations are right) another same stage.

Did you have any early sign for your previous pregnancies?

I had sore boobs but that was about it ! But i think you can think everything is a symptom

I’m 7dpo I think. I keep getting lower abdomen tugging pains the last 24 hours…trying to relax and not overthink

When are you testing?

I was thinking maybe Wednesday

Period has finished, hoping I ovulate just after he gets back from the stag do

AF was due around 26-29th.

i had V light bleed for one day (25th) red in colour.

on the 24th had severe cramps and back ache to the point I needed co-codamol it was that bad, never had pms ever or symptoms like that.

or had bleed for 1 day - lightly.

i haven’t done a HPT as urine will be diluted.

anyone had aimilar and BFP?

I'm currently 2dpo but not holding out much hope this month either

Hello all. I'm hopping over here from the April TTC thread, which was not quite the right place for me. Because my cycles are still adjusting to coming off the pill in January and so I spent most of this month in that thread with nothing to say because my OPKs were showing nowt of note.

Until Saturday, when I finally got this month's LH peak. So we DTD on Saturday and yesterday and, if DH is up to it, again tonight to be on the safe side.

I'm 40 and he's 44, and we're TTC baby #1. We met when I was 38 and had all but given up on finding my person, marriage and all that jazz. If we're lucky enough to have a baby, it would be the icing on the cake for us, but very much counting our blessings about finding each other in the first place.

We've been trying since I quit the mini-pill in January but my cycles have been a bit all over the place, but gradually shortening now. Good luck to everyone on this journey too x

I would test in any case as if you are pregnant it should show diluted or not! Good luck

@SCK2024I had very light pinkish discharge and expected my period to start last time I was pregnant. It didn’t come so I tested and negative. Tested again maybe 5 days later and it was a BFP so I’d wait a few days and do a test. I get awful period cramps so no help there. My periods were irregular so no idea when I ovulated or conceived in the cycle so was very surprised when I tested positive.

Well I’m 10po today and I caved this morning and tested. There is the faintest line. It came up within the time but it’s very faint. I’m not holding my breath as I had a chemical 2 cycles ago. I just kind of feel a bit numb for want of a better word.

I can’t edit my post to add a photo but this is my test this morning. Line is definitely there but super faint. I am only 10dpo though
