TWW at 40 yrs old

A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

I just got these tests delivered- I’ve never used them before and I think I am seeing the indent line

I can't see anything but 7 DPO is really really early - Maybe leave it until the weekend if you can? I know its hard to resist testing though

It's too early to see anything.

I know I ordered these tests on a whim and thought what the hell I’ll do one! Obviously too early.
I’ll prob test on Thursday too- pink spotting today so not very hopeful

I’m trying not to get my hopes up but I’ve done another test today and the line is darker and more obvious. I’m quietly terrified, we go on holiday next month and I wasn’t expecting to be newly pregnant

I'm currently 6dpo but I'm not holding out much hope but it would be great if it happened naturally.
I'm hoping to see some bfps on here for comfort.

Hi ladies, hope it’s ok to join this thread too.
I’m 43, don’t have kids, but always was desperate to. Unfortunately last 5 years have been a nightmare personally with loads of stress family wise, looking after a relative with dementia, losing my job as well as renovation. Relationship was at a breaking point. Somehow I decided to do it on my own if necessary, made my peace with it, so started acupuncture 2 months ago, got tested at private fertility clinic, etc. but the tests and scans were not the best news, no follicles found in ovaries, signs of peri, AMH 0.21, so I was suggested looking into egg donor options.
But here comes a surprise - after my first ever missed or late cycle last month, this cycle my ovulation was few days earlier than any order ones in the past roughly on day 11, so I just thought my periods will be more and more messed up due to peri. I realised yesterday that I was 16days dpo, and still no period, so I just randomly tested. I let you be the judge! I am really confused, surprised.

I’m just hoping you ladies will get a positive outcomes. It’s no way sinking in yet, and also don’t want to get my hopes up, but all I wanted to say - don’t wait around. At least get tested sooner rather than later, get your head around your options if the results are not as straightforward. I wish I was smarter few years back and froze my eggs at least, as these last few years were stressful and the fact that my biological clock were more than just ticking was only adding to my sleepless nights. But reducing the stress and sleeping better due to acupuncture potentially turned things around for me, well, time will tell now.🤞

@TheFutureIsI had a chemical pregnancy 2 cycles ago so I worry that this one will go the same way but the darkening line is reassuring. Last time it didn’t change much and then I started bleeding. My biggest worry though is deep rooted and unfortunately I think will be at the back of my mind all the way through. My last pregnancy came to an end at 22 weeks with a TFMR. I’m scared of going through that all again.

I’m so sorry @Fullofconfusionthe darkening line is definitely positive. So sorry for your previous loss. Completely understandable that you’ll be worried throughout.
Hopefully a holiday will be lovely and relaxing, just what you need!

Thank you @TheFutureIsI know logically that every pregnancy is different but it’s still scary. I think a holiday will be wonderful, just no frozen cocktails round the pool for me! Haha

Gah! Accidentally got tricked into testing way too early at 3dpo by a faulty easy@home OPK. Allow me to explain...

So, I got an LH peak (1.23) on Saturday but planned to keep LH testing for a few days after to make sure it was the peak. Sunday it had come down to 0.62 with the last OPK in the packet. I opened a new box for Monday's test and the control line was markedly more faint than usual and it made the T line look darker by comparison. So the Premom app said I was still showing a high LH level.

Tuesday's test also had a decidedly faint control line and the reading came out high. Looked back over my chart and PreMom said I may have ovulated either on the 11th (based on BBT) or the 26th this month (based on LH).

So thought I should test with an hcg strip yesterday, just in case the high-running LH is actually an early pregnancy sign rather than just assume it was a faulty test...and got a BFN 😂

Kinda feel like I deserve that for being impatient and ignoring the logical part of my brain that was very loudly telling me my new pack of OPK tests definitely don't read right, so ignore them 🫠

Still, not quite out the running this cycle yet, though.

I hope you have a great holiday- I feel like I’ve had so many years of cocktails and nights out- I’m so happy and ready to be teetotal for a year or so for a pregnancy

Do you use early tests? I tried with an early one yesterday and it was negative.

Now I'll wait Tuesday i think.
