Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

I find it really confusing as I had a ‘high’ reading at 6pm thurs and then ‘peak’ at 10 pm but not sure if that peak was just the start of the surge and it went higher than that ? I have a scan on Wednesday so I’ll see if that confirms ovulation and I think we covered the whole fertile period so maybe it’ll work this time !!

Thewaitingseason · 19/01/2025 11:05

I did have a lot of EWCM on friday pm so maybe that is a sign as well. I didn’t get EWCM with any of my clomid cycles so I’m hoping that’s also a positive sign

3.5 years so a long time and apparently there’s nothing wrong with either of us 🥴

Oh my gosh that’s such a long time, so sorry it’s a struggle. Really hoping you get your long awaited BFP soon. Frustrating in a way that there’s nothing “wrong”, at least if there’s an explanation there’s usually a “fix”.
I’m almost 2.5 years now and losing patience with it

DaringlyDizzy · 19/01/2025 13:08

Hello all!!
Resuming TTC for number 2 this month after a 6 month break after our sixth loss, the second of 2024.

Ovulating next week and will be testing in Feb!

I think your true ‘peak’ reading is the highest reading you get in that cycle. Premom says once the LH levels start to decrease again you’ve had your peak?

I usually get EWCM a couple of days before I actually ovulate but I think the last day you have EWCM is when you’re most fertile so that could tie in?

Hope you get confirmation on your scan 🤞

CD16 for me today and I’m finally getting my peak. So should be able to test at start of Feb 🤞 I’ve used the cup this time (hopefully i’ve done it right 😂) so we’ll see if that makes any difference!

So excited for you! Fingers crossed the cup made a difference 😍🤞🏼 I'm on CD7 and will enter my fertile window pretty soon (early ovulater) so we've already started BD just in case 😂 This time, and the TWW is such a hopeful and exciting time of the cycle 🫶🏼

Thank you ☺️ I have everything crossed for you too 🤞 Always best to start early just in case 😅 what cycle day do you usually ovulate on? It is really exciting, I know it seems silly but I do still get excited each month and have hope that this is our month!

@Kateb149 silly question and probably tmi, but how do you get the cup in before everything leaks out?!

Thewaitingseason · 19/01/2025 19:29

The cup sounds a good idea . Easier than lying down with legs against the wall for an hour anyway 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thewaitingseason · 19/01/2025 19:30

I used to lie down for 10 mins after then it has gradually increased the longer the ttc journey has gone on !!!

BerrieSweet · 19/01/2025 19:34

@Kateb149 I usually ovulate around CD11/12 😊 The cup is so interesting! Might buy myself one if there is a next cycle! I totally relate🫶🏼

With difficulty 😂 I tend to put it in straight away, and just push it gently but quite quickly until it can’t go any further. I did practice a couple of times before we DTD just to get used to it because i’ve never even used a menstrual cup before 😅 but when I took it out I was surprised by how much ‘stuff’ was in there!

And @Thewaitingseason I’m exactly the same. The cup meant I could get up, have a shower and get ready this morning without worrying about it 😅

Who knows if it actually helps anything but at this point I thought why not give it a try!

@Kateb149 What cup are you using?
Im using Tilly Blooms this time around and they have discs... is it the same thing? They also reccommend fertility lubricant so are using that too!

becksxx · 20/01/2025 10:40

Can I join please :) I’m currently on CD20, this is our first cycle trying for baby number 3 x

Lcc5261 · 20/01/2025 11:46

I’m CD10 and should be ovulating soon if my cycle length stays at 28days. According to online my ovulation day will actually be on the 25th which is my birthday so hoping that’s a good sign! X

Ah i’ve heard good things about Tilly Blooms! How long have you been using it? Mine’s similar, it’s called the Ferti lily cup and it’s literally just like a menstrual cup that you insert after DTD. I have used Conceive Plus so hopefully that helped too 🤞

Interesting about the cup! I hate lying upside down after when I just want to go to sleep.

Got my peak yesterday - we've been trying SMEP for the first time and we're both ready for ovulation and getting a break...

For TTC #1 we used fertility lube. We've been using normal lube and I just looked up how much fertility lube costs here (live abroad now) and felt a little faint. Does anyone else just use normal lube? Do you think it makes a difference?

Helloo, I think it would be better to use no lube than normal lube and just do lots of prep as I think normal lube negatively impacts sperm motility unfortunately. If you get lots of EWCM it should do the same job as fertility friendly lubes do though!

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me joining in the madness 😄
I'm CD4 on cycle 6 TTC our first, this is my first cycle after having a bit of a break at the end of last year, feels good to be starting fresh in the new year!
Hopefully ovulating around 31st so should be testing on valentines day.

Hope you're all doing ok!

I’d reiterate what @AlbatrossSociety said, I think normal lube is not good for the swimmers! You can get some good fertility lube on Amazon although I’m not sure it’s any cheaper than in the shops. All the best this month!

Hiya ☺️👋 good luck to you this cycle and hope you’re feeling more relaxed after a little break! Imagine getting a positive on Valentine’s day, that would be amazing ❤️

I'm really annoyed with the GP, I did an e consult (that's how you get an appt at my surgery) they've basically come back and said it can take a while for cycles to regulate after coming off the pill and to wait a few months! I don't have a few months, I'm 42! I'm also pretty certain it's not the pill that's the issue, I was on it 20 years and cycles returned to normal immediately, I can't see that this is going to chance after only 9 months back on it!! I feel like I've just been written off. Do I go back and say this?!
